the highlight of dating the talented, beautiful, british man henry was. was that he had the cutest doggo ones ever scene.

the name perfectly suited for the fluffy, giant, majestic beast.

kal, whom you call kal-el for the full superman effect. he rly was the dog version of superman when you found out he was a service dog and helped henry at times.

henry instantly loved seeing how well kal accepted you and you to the dog.

when he was away he’d almost always see you spending all your time with kal. doing this that and the other.

taking him for walks, giving him treats, sitting cuddled up on the sofa watching tv shows or youtube videos.

one time he even saw you play a song that would always get stuck in his head, as you ran around through the house with kal hot on your heels.

henry wasn’t privy to everyone knowing- even you. but he was envious how much his own dog got to spend time with you more than him. getting to be showered in your kisses near daily, it was all he wanted-

it was becoming taxing to focus solely on work 100%

it was adorable, you both even had a matching insta story highlight dedicated to your cute puppers.

yes ‘yours’ as in both of you owned kal. everything that was his, became yours at his behest.

henry catches you on your down time, sitting up in bed with the laptop opened up to illuminate your face in the dark.

the bed dips and you roll into his body with a light giggle, turning over to ignore the video of funny things to give him your undivided attention.

he’s all smiles till he suddenly frowns, moving some of your hair back behind your ear. hand going to frame your cheek delicately.

not nearly expecting it, he pouts. bottom lip sticking out and you smile confusedly. sitting up higher to get his attention fully.

once he starts you try your best to not laugh, but he’s actually jealous of a dog? of his own dog for that matter

understandably so- kal was adorable, attentive and sweet. but he wasn’t henry.

henry babbles on how, “you’re so much closer to kal.”, “would you even want to spend time with me anymore?”

your attention diverts when said american akita all black and white. fluffy bundle of joy, trailing fur behind himself has nosed the door open. entering your private space.

kal comes over to you panting with big eyes trained to you, and henry grumbles a loud “see!” at you turning to face kal.

it makes you laugh loudly, pulling your boyfriend to your chest nod rubbing his board shoulders and back. laying sideways as you pat kal’s head.

giving the sweet service dog a wave to wait so he lays at the foot of the bed waiting patiently for you both.

henry doesn’t stop looking like a wounded pup, you pinch his cheeks catching his eyes now that he’s looked up.

reassuring him of how you spent time with kal because he helped ease your anxiety, he perks up at that knowing he’d bought kal in the us to help with his own anxieties.

a big one was how you hated him going away it would make going to work impossible for him now.

now that you’d explained it was almost silly, but he wasn’t willing to give up.

demanding more time with you. more than kal- who has all the time in the world and no obligations.

that you didn’t need to hide your insecurities or anxieties from him, in return he wouldn’t hide his own either.

after henry was nearly a whole hour late (huehue😏) and a very pissed off director, he made an agreement for you to be allowed on set.

ofc after signing plenty of confidential papers it was free reign.

of course if your schedules lined up. and when they did you were at peace having the two lovable idiots at your disposal.

kal was a bridge that seemed to only draw you both closer and opening up more doors for your relationship to grow.

you’d always have the dog and now one another to help quiet the conspiracy theories your minds cooked up in its spare time.
