I finally watched Taxi Driver and I was pretty obsessed for a while. The show was very captivating, with a nice plot and very strong characters. But the end just misses the mark for me... Apparently they changed the writer and you can feel it.
I think until ep 14 it was perfect. But as with a lot of kdrama I would have like that they really go to the end of the plot. That they really question the morality of this vigilante justice and the consequences it has. Kdrama are always obsessed with happy endings but this time it would have been so much more interesting to really explore where their vengeance would lead them.
I think when everything goes to shit and Chairman Baek betrays them and all the prisoners they made escape, it should have had more consequences. Firstly I'm sorry to say this bc he was so sweet but Jieon the mechanics should have died. The director Jang Sungchul should have definitely lost an eye permanently and Doki should have been more injured with long-lasting injuries (how his arm got so well so fast I wonder...). And this would have been the occasion to really reflect about their goal and future. Especially Jang Sungchul. He was such an interesting character, especially the part where you see him try to "reform" the criminals. He's someone who is very concerned by morals and justice so it would have been so interesting to see him question his motives. Can you really reform a criminal and how? Is it now playing god ?
As much as I enjoyed this drama I would have love to see them take it to the end and explore the morals dilemmas and consequences of personal justice.
Anyways, it was an exciting drive and a good drama. And man, Lee Jehoon... so hot.. such a good actor... the way he portrayed Kim Doki, with his deadly armure but his broken mind... perfect anti-hero...
I still recommend the drama gladly. I'm not a big fan of kdrama usually but it was one well done with frickin' good actors (the villains are incredible, especially before the mafia stuff), good plot, directing and music. And Lee Jehoon. Especially Lee Jehoon.

A true baby who is too adorable, i loved this scene she was so happy to have everything together and also Na Young-joo is a badass she does not take shit from anyone a baby!

And then there's him, i get it may be he has a redemption arc or something that might be revealed later that we'll feel sorry for him but until now i hate his character, first of all if lee su-yeon wasn't the only one hurt in the accident, seo in-woo implied that he was hurt too but we all know how hurt su-yeon was it was a heart-wrenching sight, on the other hand he RAN AWAY like how do you expect sympathy?
