Now he is alone. Mateo gathered his things in a bag and left, feeling empty, he decided to look into the funeral buildings. He had no idea that ninjas inhabited the buildings. Mateo went outside and in anger and sadness began to beat the sand and accidentally formed a small sand tornado.

When the ninjas came out and saw what Mateo had done, Cole came up and asked "Hello little one, where are your parents?" Mateo, in response, fell silent and quietly said "they sleep forever." Cole felt sorry for the child, Wu said that the child had the talent and strength of sand Ultimately, Cole adopted Mateo, now his name is Mateo Brookstone.
