Needy Streamer Overload will be like "Ame sexualizing herself is bad for her mental health and the sexualization of public figures like Ame is a bad thing and harmful" and then people will miss this entire point and go UHHH KAngel/Ame is HOT??? And draw her in a manner making it clear they miss the entire criticisms of the game and only think with their dicks (gender neutral) and don't actually care about learning or improving themselves and how they interact with others, especially women.

I think Needy Streamer Overload, as a game, has many good and salient points yet it feels like everyone I've ever seen that's into it/that plays it just takes it as #relatable or #soooo quirky. (Yes, it's fine to relate to her/the game, but that is incredibly surface level and if you relate to her, guess what, you should do something about it! Which! You know! The game is basically telling you!) It feels like nobody actually does any critical thinking about it, what the game means, and what should be taken away and then done about it as an individual.

NSO makes many strong points and criticisms of online and internet cultures, many of them about their toxicity/misogyny/oversexualization (and how this affects mental health, as well as mental health as a whole) and then it feels like every single person I've seen play it is not only missing these points, but actively contributing to or being part of these very cultures without critical engagement or steps against the harmful aspects of them.

I find it relatable because of behaviours I have that ame shows in game & it's just nice to be seen though I don't want peoplec to glamourize it at the end of the day it's a game about a struggling person who isn't really good or evil just someone who craves attention & love even if it means destroying herself to get it she knows it's bad for her but the rush of happiness is too much to back away- that's why she goes along with the 'sexy streams' it's such a good narrative if people would actually read into the subtext & not just glance at it & say ame is so them because she has a cool style like I said- I see myself in a lot of her behaviour but it's not a good thing. I'm working on it. no one wants to acknowledge that ame is more of a gray character- not so black & white if you romanticize any of what she does you'd be encouraging it in the real world- because it's commenting on that that streamer you adore & find relatable craves your attention to keep going & you indulge. but that's entertainment right my deepest sincerest apologies op i find myself being very passionate about this haha nso needy streamer overload ame chan kangel
