it’s crazy to think about how the source material can be completely different from the modern portrayals

take Jekyll & Hide, the original novel is about how some guy created a potion to change his appearance so he could do bad stuff. he didn’t have multiple personalities, he was just a guy who knew some science so he was respected for said knowledge but wanted to do things that contrasted the public opinion of him
