Pairing: Carol Danvers x Reader
Summary: Carol’s been so busy with work, you feel like she’s forgotten all about her little dragonfly. When you finally break, she’s quick to be back by your side.

You grabbed your stuffie from the other side of the bed, tears threatening to spill. Carol had been choosing to stay in her office all day long, and you couldn’t take it anymore. Part of you couldn’t shake off the feeling that she forgot about her little dragonfly.
You let your pacifier bob in your mouth as you made your way down the hall, anger evident on your face. You didn’t even bother to knock, instead barging into her workspace and stomping over to her desk.
“Mommy, you’ve been ignoring me all day long! Stop it!” You whined, closing her laptop. Carol let out a frustrated huff and turned her head to meet your gaze.
“Don’t be bratty right now. Mommy’s already in a bad mood. Now you go be a good little one and go play.”
You frowned at her dismissal, stomping your foot loud enough for Carol to abruptly stand from her chair. “Stop it! You’re testing me, and I'm not in the mood. If you keep this up, I will put you in corner time.” The blonde warned, pointing a finger at you.
You sighed and your bottom lip wobbled while tears formed in your eyes. “Mommy, please. You’ve been ignoring me. Do you even love me?” You whispered in a broken voice, and Carol’s face dropped.
She made her way over to you and wrapped you in a tight embrace. “Oh, honey… of course I do. Of course, I love you. You’re perfect. I’m so sorry, you’re right. I’ve been forgetting about my little dragonfly.” She kissed your forehead before scooping you up, “Let’s go watch some cartoons little one, okay? I’ll order whatever food you want.”
You nodded and buried your face into the crook of her neck, basking in the affection you’d been craving for so long. “Even pizza, mommy?”
Carol nodded, “Of course baby. I’m going to get you all the pizza you’ve ever wanted, okay?” She set you down on the couch before joining you and setting you down in her lap.
“Mommy, could you play Adventure Time?” You quietly requested, holding your stuffie close to you while Carol wrapped her arms around your middle.
“Of course, baby. I love you so, so much, you know that? It was so unfair of me to put work before you because you are my little one. You’re perfect, baby. Mommy is very, very sorry.” She said, giving you a firm kiss on your forehead.
“Is okay. I forgive you because I love you.”
