So first, I know it’s been a while since the album came out, I know I’m kinda late but that’s besides the point lol. This album has been long awaited and it’s here now so I would like to go over the singles and say that the three songs are probably the best of the whole track list, she did an amazing job picking the singles, not saying the rest of the album is bad, just saying that the singles stuck to me longer. For the theme, it’s very serene, meaningful, and has deep spiritual tones in songs like "secrets from a girl", "the path" and "leader of a new regime". There is an argument that these types of prices are 'boring' or that the lyrics can be a bit lack luster, and then there’s a common counter that any one who says those things are still sad depressed and miserable that they can’t properly appreciate works of art. But I’m in between with these arguments because yes, not every artist has to hold on to that sad teenage grudge sound but it’s possible to make an album from a happy heart and still be enjoyable for all audiences. Kinda reminds me of the "Sweetener" by Ariana Grande debate,people had split opinions on that one. Anyways, besides the singles I really like "secrets from a girl" it’s refreshing and cute and has healing energy to it and that goes for the whole album. On initial listen I didn’t vibe with most of the songs because I it didn’t really give what I expected. To wrap it up, I give this a good 5.5/10 the singles take up most of what I like but I also love the creative subtle touches and spiritual theme💛
