Such an unexpected apology caught Kakyoin by surprise, and they had half a mind to ask if the sky was falling. In all their dealings after all this time, this had never been an issue-- at least, not to them. Jotaro was Jotaro, always, and Kakyoin was under no illusions about that.

Rather...

Any distance was fine. Any abrasiveness of tone did not hurt. And anything they didn't understand, they let him keep for himself, as they would want him to do for them. That he'd been harsher than usual hadn't escaped their notice, but nor had it earned their ire. If anything, they'd only worried.

❝...Thank you, but it's okay. You have a lot on your mind, I can tell. You don't have to talk about it, but you don't have to add something like this to your list of worries, either.❞

It has been absolutely wonderful to know you, although we've really just met. Your character is phenomenal, and you're always a joy to see on the dashboard. Gotta be one of my favourite character portrayals out of any fandom, and I'm thrilled at how seamlessly you meld different worlds. I really hope we can be friends, and I hope to write with you more in the future!

I adore your writing, I adore your portrayal, your energy is flawless. I think you're an absolutely stellar person, and I'm so glad to have you in my life. You make me feel a little more sane while I'm at work, which can't be understated. Keep on doing what you do, because everyone in your life benefits from what you bring, I guarantee it.

Uhhhh sorry to blow your cover or whatever but you're so, so important to me. You've been there for years, and like I've already said to you, it's hard to imagine you not being there, even while we're off doing our own things. You've always been a huge source of inspiration for me, because you have just these incredible ideas. You are so creative it just blows my mind. Plus, it's a huge plus that our writing styles complement each other. It makes it even more fun! You are never, ever, ever going to be rid of me.

It's a silly little game, isn't it? To attach meanings to touch, when touch already conveys entire worlds of emotions on its own. But in its own way, it encourages the sharing of thoughts otherwise too difficult to speak.

At least, that's how Noriaki feels about it. They can't help but smile, a tingling sensation left behind where Jotaro's fingers had brushed against theirs. It isn't as easy to admit to as it should be, is it? Although it's obvious, so obvious, as clear as the light at midday. Where words seem too strong, too bold, knowledge is enough.

They're quick to chase after he withdraws, their hand darting out to catch his fingers with their own. You're my friend, too, they want to say. This is a way to get that message across, in a way they can both understand, before this particular door closes.

And although they don't feel like telling him everything, they're keen on showing a little bit more of their heart in return. Maintaining eye contact all the while, they slide their hand up his to wrap around his wrist to convey a fear of loss.

Like touch itself, this particular message carries many meanings, and they can't help but wonder how much he'll pick up on. Certainly, after a lifetime of searching and longing, they wouldn't even know how to begin again if they lost all of the friends they'd finally found. But more than that..

More than that, they understand their companions to be the sort to charge in alone when the going gets tough, for various reasons... and they understand that one of these days, someone is simply not going to make it back. They want him to know that he will never have to face anything alone, even if it's a futile wish. What precious little they wouldn't do for him, what scant lengths they would not go to on his behalf. And so, as an after thought, despite the awkwardness of it, they bend over slightly to tap his knee: Don't worry, I'm here for you.

With a frown, Kakyoin gazed out over the street through the window, absently raising the blinds further out of the way as he watched the rain fall in heavy grey sheets. His expression only deepened at the low rumbling overhead, and at last, he turned away from the glass, reaching for his cup of tea that he'd had sitting nearby.

Communication Preferences based meme | How open are you to meeting new people? Do you like your muses being mentioned IC? To just anyone, or only fandoms/friends that you know?

I'm always open to meet new people. To be honest, I'm very much an introvert, but I've spent a long time working on it. I do my best to reach out to others because I understand that not everyone is comfortable doing so. However, that does unfortunately lead to a lot of situations where I'll say hello, then get overwhelmed and forget to come back to the conversation after I've rested up. If that ever happens, please never hesitate to reach out again! I promise it does not annoy me.

I'm actually thrilled to have my characters mentioned IC, at any given point. It makes me feel connected within the community. Plus, I prefer to be story driven, so it's a good way to reinforce that. I'm also always happy to do so with others, with their permission.

piatro is already depressed as is , but when kakyoin truly dies ? they have similar backgrounds and bond over such, even though said background shapes both teenagers differently . def would be unstable for a few weeks , if not months . like moving to a new country just after you met your best friend as a child and it’s raining outside , you’re in the car and the radio is on from the front seat and there’s pine trees covering most of the land outside , and all your clothes and toys are in the back but you’ll never see what makes you whole again because youre too young to have a number and cross-country calls are expensive, mama says . piatro refuses to go to kakyoin’s grave in morioh because he’ll cry and it’s rainy season anyway and he doesn’t want his clothes to get all soaked . the new tree hes been trying to take care of has grown quite a bit . how long has it been there again ?

The silence over the phone before the careful reply was enough to drop her heart into her stomach. "An... an accident. I see. Please, let me know what I may do to aid with the funerary arrangements."

It hardly seemed fair. Mortals already had such brief lives. For one to be cut off before even reaching full flower was a tragedy.

it only took a glance, her eyes catching the green amidst the crumbled wreck, and the red. so much of it that after the water tower had finally drained it's clear substance thens thick and crimson. the words to ask about KAKYOIN died in her throat as the look on JOSEPH'S face was enough to make the connection-- her throat felt dry, her chest pained and throbbed, bubbling as though magma brewed where her heart was. she had vomited, not just the sight but the similarities of his slumped form was much like... her father's. once she has finished being sick her hand comes to her mouth, lips and chin slimey and gummy-like from her nausea but the tears that leaked from her eyes began to slowly clean it away although poorly-- she deeps breathy through her nose. not now. she harshly reminds herself and wipes her chin, the distant chaos didn't, rather couldn't let her grieve for their mission was not over. CHARLIE adjusts her stance, desperate for steady ground. MR. JOESTAR, JOTARO, POLNAREFF... everyone else was still fighting, she had to keep going.

"-- I'll come back for you. " she says in a hushed tone, as if not to wake him but she spoke to no one. the very fact that this kid, NORIAKI KAKYOIN had ceased to exist, one moment he was alive and the next he wasn't, it felt harsh and cruel, she had only three years more on this earth than him, and he had so much more to do, accomplish.

and now he was no more, and the world kept it's reputation for cruelty.

Communication Preferences based meme

Number one, I recognize that I have a very meandering style of writing that can often get off track and lose the point of the reply. I understand that this can dissuade and discourage people from wanting to write with me. I try my best to balance it by trying to always make sure there's something for my partner to actually respond to, rather than being largely a wall of useless text.

Also, I recognize I don't always connect well with others, and I can come off as cold, superficial, or uninterested when I don't intend to. As always, I hope anyone who reads this feels comfortable approaching me for any reason. I'm just awful at communication, that's all there is to it, and it's never anything personal.

Death was apart of life, was it not?

So then, why had his heart ached so much when he learned from his grandfather about Kakyoin's death? He needed to see the body for himself, to see the result was to believe it otherwise; he was chalking it all up to Joseph playing a game with him. Games be damned, he needed to see the redhead in order to make sure that what the old man had said was true. To see with his own eyes.

When he'd made the demands of the SWF agents to see the body of one Kakyoin Noriaki, they were understandable hesitant. One even questioned if Jotaro was certain that he'd even wanted to see the mangled up remains, that it hadn't been a pretty picture in the slightest. The Joestar hadn't cared saying as much before glaring, daring either of the agents to tell him otherwise. It was all about closure, assurance even - at least that was what he was telling himself. They could perform a blood transfusion, not believing that the other had been truly mangled as bad as was told to him.

Zip.

Teals watched as hands unzipped the body bag slowly, watching the bag split apart revealing a body beneath it. His brows furrowed, body tense with anticipation and hope that it wasn't Kakyoin. Praying silently to whatever God would listen to his pleaing words, hoping in all hope that this wasn't the very redhead they had spoken of. Once the bug was completely unzipped it was then pulled open to reveal the very real body of his friend.

His heart broke, aching and clenching in sadness - anger, even. Angry with himself for not getting to Dio on time to keep his companion from getting hurt. Sad because....well, he himself was hurt. Just not in the physical way. After a few moments the Joestar simply turned away, excusing himself to go elsewhere and release the grief that was swelling within his gut.

Kakyoin Noriaki was dead.

my opinion on;

character in general: Louis.... it was a rough start with him, but, even in the beginning, there were moments where he utterly shined - the bit with him and Legoshi standing together on the stage coming to mind. As the story progressed and we learned more about Louis and why he is the way he is... oh  my giddy aunt, if I didn’t feel for the poor boy! The things he’s been through, the trauma and the hardships and the struggles, just.... And it all payed off beautifully after Legoshi captured Tem’s killer. It was after that moment that I really loved Louis as a character. He’s still got some baggage, but it’s clear to see he really does care about Legoshi 

how they play them: Hoo boy.... Mae, you depiction of Louis is just.... it is fantastic, it is believable - if I didn’t know better, I’d be thinking that you were Paru herself or something! I can hear Louis’s voice and imagine his movements so bloody easily in your writing. That’s how good you are!

the mun: Mae -- again, we haven’t spoken much but I really really really enjoy our talks! You’re a brilliant person and a brilliant writer and I am looking so forward to being your friend!

what is my; overall opinion: Fantastic person, fantastic writer, fantastic muse! It’s going to be nothing but praise and admiration from me!

🐶 - a role play related pet peeve.

Please note that this is NOT me banging on about people not writing enough, ‘cos I DO NOT CARE ABOUT LENGTH. I care about substance. The actual quality of the words you write, not the quantity, not the word count. 

Anyway-- on to the pet peeve: Something that’s last happened a while before I started this blog, but RP partners who don’t write enough in their reply for me to go on and write my own. Like-- I write a paragraph or two that moves the plot along, right? And then they go and write, like, a single sentence of diaogue. Now, I’ll grant that sometimes a single sentence of dialogue is enough for me to go on, if we get lucky and Lady Fortune just so happens to be smiling on our RP that day. But other times... it’s just nowhere near enough. Give me a reaction, give me your character’s thoughts, give me a plot twist, give me something of substance!

I’m a pretty forgiving guy, honestly. I’m willing to give everyone a second chance, when it comes to doing wrongs against me. And the things that other people believe and/or post about are their business and no-one else’s. They can post and say whatever they want on their blogs, far as I’m concerned. 

But if someone’s always posting drama and starting stuff on the dash, inciting arguments and flame wars and things, that’s where I’d have to draw the line. ESPECIALLY if you’re starting stuff just to start stuff, just to be a provocative little troll and giggle at the mayhem you’ve gone and caused. 

That’s gonna be a hard NO from me. More than an instant unfollow, honestly--an instant block. I wouldn’t want anything to do with that sort of crowd. I come to tumblr to relax and have fun. If I wanted to get into arguments, I’d be on facebook and twitter, or else I’d wait until the family’s together for Thanksgiving.
