Merge Jon should have one eye heat vision and one eye ice vision. It's be super impractical but gosh darn it, it would look cool!

Jon-El needs to get a redemption arc but it needs to be after he's already gone too far. Let him realise the error of his ways but only once he's won and seen how irreparably and monumentally he's screwed up. Let him merge. Let him regret it. Let him make up for it.
