i was talking about this with a friend but i would say that even though dazai hates pain, he's willing to put himself through it if it means he'll help those he cares about.
he didn't HAVE to take part in the prison breakout but he chose to anyway. he didn't have to push sigma out of the elevator (not saying he shouldn't have) and end up the way he did-
-but he did so anyway.
i think that shows just how much he cares for the agency + sigma. he's found the people he loves and will do whatever he can to keep them safe. i really am interested in how he’s gonna react when:
a. the agency is in shambles and
b. atsushi is with FYODOR. the guy he tried very hard to get rid of.
now with the more recent chapters and the state dazai's in, i'm wondering what lengths he'll go to in order to protect the agency now?
(or at least whoever’s left)

I just read “L’étranger”by Albert Camus it’s one of the best book I’ve read and now I’m trying to read “Beyond good and evil” by Friederich Nietzsche the intro is making my brain hurt 🥲💀
My HC'S for when Dazai and Fedya/Fyodor were in prison aka the Mersault arc (This might not make sense in canon tho):
• Fedya once asked for a small rat plushie the size of his hand. He just watched it every morning in bed
• Dazai overslept most of the time in the prison. He slept late and woke up late while Fedya slept late and woke up early
• Both are night owls
• Since Fedya had books in his cell, he'd read outloud some of the books to Dazai (In their own weird language they use of course) and because of this the guards would be even more wary because they think it's some kind of code even though its just some books
• Dazai, most of the time didnt make his bed in the morning and just left it as it is
• They'd have guessing games on what time it was in Japan or the outside of prison (Of course they had a tie and were always correct even if they didnt have a clock to confirm it bc they were weird as shit. And this hc is if they didnt have clocks inside their cells)
• Everytime a guard was ordered to observe or watch them they would just be creeped out by their cryptid asses (This is probably canon or smth)
Sjjfbejfnsjje this was fun as shit to make. I'll probably make more in the future but its going to be different arcs
