meeting him was the beginning of everything.Â
there was nothing special about their first meeting, but her life would change completely from that moment on.
she always wanted to go with her father to his races, she loved that her dad was so passionate about the sport, everytime he returned home heâd explain everything to her, she always had a million questions.Â
so, when she was eleven years old, in 2010, she joined her father, sebastian, for the first time. they traveled to monaco, a track that his father loved and could potentially give him the lead of the championship if he were to win it.Â
age 11, 2010.
she held her fatherâs hand and looked at everything surrounding her. everything was so big and shiny and new to her.Â
âwoud you look at that?â a tall man said as they walked the paddock. he had a big smile on his face, she recognized him.
âdad, thatâs your friend!â she said, pointing at the man.Â
âyes, darling, thatâs my friend, michael,â seb looked down at her, smiling.
âhi, michael!â she waved her hand, the older german ruffled her hair in return.
âitâs great to finally meet you, and see you here. is this your first time here?âÂ
âyeah! iâve always wanted to see this in real life,â her smile was big as she looked at the teamsâ motorhomes around her.
âand whatâs your first impression?â
âi donât think i want to leave,â she giggled, looking up at her father.
âwell, iâll let you get back to your tour. but when you have some free time make sure to stop by the mercedes garage, okay? i think my son could use a friend,â
âah, youâve brought mick with you?â sebastian asked, his friend nodded. âthen heâll have to come to the dark side, cause my kid is not going anywhere near that garage,â he shook his head, as both his friend and his daughter laughed.Â
âweâll figure it out, these two need to meet, though.â
okay, maybe meeting him did have something special about it. a thought ran through her mind, maybe theyâd grow to be as close as their fathers.Â

âhey kid,â she froze, eyes widening as she turned around.
âdad!â she wrapped her arms around her father, closing her eyes as she hid her face in his chest. âwhat are you doing here?â
âgood to see youâve missed me, you havenât called in so long i thought youâd forgotten about me.â
âit was only three days, dad. but iâm so sorry, itâs just⌠iâve been busy here, and with the schedules and time difference, i-â
âitâs okay. iâm just happy to know youâre alright,â he smiled, ruffling her hair.Â
âi am. i am, itâs⌠kinda hard to believe that this is finally happening,â
âwell after all these years and all your hard work, you deserve this, my love,â he threw an arm over his daughterâs shoulders, holding her close.
after endless classes, auditions, she was finally about to star her first movie as the lead actress. when she was about thirteen an idea got to her head, and it was impossible to get it out. she took as many acting classes as she could, even left her home when she was seventeen to fly overseas and hopefully get more opportunities to be in the spotlight.Â
it didnât surprise sebastian, that his daughter would find her passion in acting. when she was little she used to always set up plays where she portrayed every role, most times recreating a disney movie sheâd seen that day. he trusted her. he knew that a childâs dream had to be supported as much as possible, just like his own parents had done with his.Â
distance had been difficult at first, but once her first roles started coming, once she started to get so busy she barely had time to sleep, she knew it was all worth it. her first roles were small, but slowly, she caught peopleâs attention. casting directors, actors sheâd worked with were asking to work with her again. it was simply out of this world.
âi- but dad⌠donât you have a race this weekend?â she said, walking through the different sets of the studio until she reached her trailer. she was in the middle of shooting, but sebastian arrived just in time since she was about to take a break.Â
âyeah, thatâs why iâm here. iâd like you to come with me,âÂ
âdad,â she smiled. it had been years since she stepped foot in the f1 paddock, she remembered when her entire life revolved around that sport, when she wanted to know every detail there was to know about it⌠thatâs not to say that that wasnât the truth anymore, but her passion for the sport moved aside, leaving space for what would become her job, her favorite thing in her life. of course, she still followed the sport, tried to not miss any races, supporting her father, her favorite person and biggest inspiration.Â
âcome on, i know you have the weekend off,â
âhow did you-â she frowned
âyour mother,â he answered. she sighed, but smiled after a second.
âokay. iâll goâ
-
a beautiful âbefore and afterâ picture would be created later on the weekend, as she walked side by side with her father down the f1 paddock. just like sheâd done when she was little. she was getting deja vu. she was happy sheâd decided to join her dad, they didnât spend as much time together as of lately, but this weekend she was determined to make the most of their time together.
as they walked, sebastian was catching her up on everything sheâd missed since the last time she was there, which was about two years ago. she knew some things from speaking with him, and from the things she saw online, but there was nothing like seeing it all in real life.Â
they were stopped several times, by fans, journalists, and even people who knew her since she was just a kid. mechanics, engineers, and other team members from both red bull and ferrari.
then, someone caught up to them, embracing sebastian and smiling, her father patted the young man on the back, keeping a hand on his shoulder once they separated.
âall good?â sebastian asked, the younger blonde nodded, noticing her.
â(y/n)?â he asked, his eyes drifting back and forth between the father-daughter pair. sebastian smiled at the way mickâs eyes widened. he knew it.
she nodded, frowning as she couldnât quite name the person infront of her.Â
âitâs been so long, how have you been?â he asked, smiling.
that was it.
she recognized that smile.
age 11, 2010.
contrary to the previous days, that saturday afternoon, she found herself watching the qualifying session with company. of course, the day before she hadnât been completely alone, but she wasnât with people she knew that well.
seb had meant his words, his daughter couldnât leave the red bull motorhome, not because he didnât allow it, but because he didnât trust anyone to really take her through the paddock to the mercedes garage. so, corinna schumacher and her kids, mick and gina, went to find the young girl.Â
âmichael, his wife and kids, you can trust them.â those had been her fatherâs words before introducing her to them.Â
sheâd been quite shy at first, keeping to herself and just staring at the screens. sheâd already had all of her questions answered during the first two practice sessions, but quali was different. she didnât get it.Â
mick noticed her small frown, and he turned to his mother, who was busy staring at the screens showing michaelâs data.Â
âmom,â he called, the woman turned to him, running her fingers through his hair, making a mental note to take him to get a haircut soon. âsheâs upset,â he said. âwhy?â Â
âwell, i donât know. why donât you ask her? maybe you can help her feel better.â mick turned his head back, pursing his lips, then nodded.
he walked to the young vettel girl, standing behind her. but he couldnât figure out how to talk to her. then, he heard her talking to herself.
âwhy is it only eighteen minutes?â she huffed, her eyes glued to the moving cars.
âare-are you mad?â mick asked her, not thinking twice about his words, or how he couldâve startled her. she jumped, moving to the side and looking back at him.
âwhat?â she asked.
âare you⌠upset?â he tried again, raising his eyebrows, he didnât know why he felt nervous talking to her.
âno. yes. i- i donât know,â she said, looking back at the wall of screens in front of her. âdad said âsee you in an hourâ, but the clock says thereâs only fifteen minutes left,â she pointed.
âoh!â he said, âthatâs just the end of q1,â he continued, but she stared at him only with confusion in her face. âsorry, qualifying is divided in three, q1, q2, and q3,â he started, she nodded.
âi know that, but-â
âall qualifying sessions last different times, and when you add it all up it takes about an hour, a little longer sometimes,â he explained, âi know it can be confusing, but thatâs why iâm here! and my mom and my sister. weâre here to take care of you. thatâs what my dad said,â
âthanks, thatâs⌠nice.â
âyouâre welcome. and⌠i know that our dads are friends. so⌠maybe weâll be like them when we grow up!â mick smiled, and her eyes drifted down to his lips, he had a nice smile. she could still see it in her head seconds after, that was a smile sheâd never forget.
âi was thinking the same thing.â
â
age 22, 2021.
âmick?â she asked, eyes wide. âno way, you made it to f1?â she asked, eyeing his shirt and cap.
âfinally,â he smiled, she chuckled, she remembered hearing him talk non-stop about one day being like his father. she was happy heâd finally reached that dream.
âcongratulations! i- thatâs amazing!â she smiled, âwhy didnât you tell me? any of you?â she asked, looking from her old friend to her father.
âwell, youâve barely had time to pick up the phone and say hi, i didnât even get a chance,â sebastian shrugged. she turned to mick, raising an eyebrow.
âwell i⌠you know⌠we havenât talked in a long time and⌠i didnât think youâd care,â
âoh, come on! itâs me! iâve known you⌠forever!â she was genuinely shocked that sheâd missed this news, âyou know you can tell me anything-â
âyeah, sheâll just answer three days later,â her father butted in.
âbut iâll answer,â she defended herself, âanyway, as i was saying before being rudely interrupted, doesnât matter how much time passes, iâm here for you, yeah?â she smiled, trying to think when the last time theyâd spoken was. too long ago.
âgot it, and⌠same goes to you,â he grinned too, and she was immediately transported back to her teenage years. âi have to go, but it was great seeing you, youâre staying the whole weekend?â he raised his eyebrows, smiling as she nodded, âgreat, guess iâll see you around,âÂ
she nodded again, waving her hand at him, but he took a step closer to her, moving to wrap his arms around her, she was caught off guard, but slid her hands around his waist in return.Â
âgood luck,â she told him, watching him walk away after he said goodbye to sebastian. she turned to her father, and frowned. âwhat?â
âanything i should know?â
âwhat?â she asked, seb raised his eyebrows.
âyouâre⌠flustered,â he noticed, she rolled her eyes.
âiâm not,â she grunted, pushing him with her shoulder. seb chuckled, walking beside her, âeverything used to be so big,â
âitâs all the same, you just grew up,â he smiled, a nostalgic smile.
âdonât get emotional,â she chuckled.
âyou and mickâŚâ seb started, âwhat⌠what happened between you two?âÂ
âwhat do you mean?âÂ
âwell, one day you wre hanging out, the next itâs like you never knew each other.â
âi donât know, i mean⌠i still consider him my friend, you know? like⌠he was a big part of my adolescence and i just⌠got busy. but, so did he. iâve followed his career, well, i mustâve messed up somewhere along the way since i missed the news that he was in f1.â
âmaybe this weekend you guys can work on that,â he suggested as they reached the aston martin hospitality. âiâm sure heâs missed you. he always asks me about you,â
âreally?â she asked, taking one last look behind her shoulder, hoping to catch a glimpse of him, but he was nowhere in sight.
âevery weekend.â seb nodded. âheâs a good kid. you two have my blessing, you know? in case you both ever want to⌠you know.â
âdad!â

age 23, 2022.
seoul had always been one of her favorite cities. the culture, the people, the different traditions compared to what she was used to from living in europe for so long. it was always special when she was there.Â
but that night, she wasnât as ecstatic about being there.Â
not when he was so near yet so far at the same time.
it was pathetic, really, to be that infatuated with someone. sheâd lived many years without him in her life, and it only took him one weekend to turn her life upside down.Â
mick and her father were in japan, it was the last time sebastian would race there, and her stomach hurt at the fact that they were really close, but she was stuck in south korea for the press junket of her first movie, a little over a yearâs work was finally ready for the world to see.Â
to say that she was stuck would be an exaggeration, sheâd arrived a few days before to get used to the time difference, she didnât have to be there until wednesday, and it was currently monday. and all she wanted to do was get out of there.Â
she was being dramatic.
but she did wish she could be there with him.Â
her phone rang, and she ran to the bed, picking it up. she smiled as she picked up the call.
âhey,â she said, a smile appearing on her face before even hearing his voice, just reading his name in the contact was enough to turn her stomach upside down, to make her heart beat at high speed.
âhi, i didnât know if you were busy, i-â
âno, iâm free,â she bit her lip, âhowâs japan?â
âwell, i actually havenât had the chance to check it out, iâve been sleeping all day,â he chuckled, she let herself fall on the hotel bed, looking up at the ceiling.
âtired?â
ânot anymore,â he laughed, which made her chuckle, too. âand you? have you explored seoul yet?â
âah, well thatâs the plan. thatâs why i got here a few days before necessary,â she explained.
âoh, thatâs nice, iâm sure thereâs a ton of things to do there,â mick said, his voice sounding lower than before.
âyeah,â she sighed, âtokyo sounds great right now, though.â
âso does seoul.â
âwhat a tragedy we are,â she chuckled, biting her lip. âif only⌠there was a way to solve this,â
âswitch places?â mick joked, though there was nearly no humor in his voice.
âmaybe⌠we could get lost in japan.â
âwe?"
"you're two hours away," she whispered, standing up and walking to the window, the sun was starting to go down, the best of seoul's night life would be starting soon. "i'm only a couple hundred miles away,"
"do you want to get lost in japan?" he asked, and she could hear the smile on his face. Â
"let's get lost."

age 22, 2021.
she felt like a little kid again. she remembered the thrill and excitement the pre-race brought, but living it as an adult, after years and years being away from this world, it felt like living it for the first time.Â
watching her father get ready, she thought about how lucky she was to have him. heâd taught her to fight for her dreams and not give up until she achieved them, to love people with kindness and give back whenever she could.
there were cameras all over the place, something sheâd gotten used to. her eyes shifted from her dad, who was talking to the mechanics, to the screens on the side of the garage.Â
after a few seconds, she saw herself. she smiled at her âreflectionâ, turning to the side until she spotted the camera, giving it a small wave before looking back to the screen. she saw herself doing that, then the broadcast changed from her, to mick. who was also smiling at the screen, and the delay allowed her to watch him smile at her.Â
she looked down, feeling her face getting flustered. she and mick had been rekindling their friendship that weekend, catching up when he had free time, remembering the days when the paddock was their playground. it was easy and she was happy that theyâd had the chance to do it, she felt bad for losing touch with him years ago.Â
âitâs time,â her father said, walking to her. she smiled, hugging him.Â
âgood luck and fight hard,â she said, watching his eyes light up as he recognized those words. the same words she told him the day of her first f1 race.Â
after watching her dad step in the car and wait until he drove away, she stood up and walked down the paddock, sneaking into a different garage.Â
mick was zipping up his suit, adjusting the velcro strap. her lips curled up as she watched his concentrated face, his eyebrows furrowed as he seemed to be in deep thought. a second later, he turned his head to his side, and he had to do a double take to make sure he was really seeing her there.Â
she smiled sheepishly now that sheâd been caught, she took one careful step in, relaxing as he walked to her.Â
âhey,â she said, smiling wider. âjust wanted to wish you good luck,â
âthank you,â he grinned, a light pink tint creeping on his cheeks, âiâm really gonna need it,â he exhaled deeply.
âyouâre gonna do great,â she reassured him, placing a hand on his shoulder. âcome here,â she pulled him closer, giving him what was supposed to be a quick hug, but he wrapped an arm around her back, keeping her there for longer than what was deemed appropriate. âi know this place brings back a lot of memories, but just enjoy it. itâs your first time here, racing in f1, your dream. you got this, mick.â
after the race she went to the pit lane, hugging her dad, but spotting another blonde german behind him.
âiâll be right back, dad,â she told him, making her way to mick. âhey, that was so cool. congrats on finishing your first monaco race,â she hugged him, feeling his arms around her back.Â
âyour dad is watching us. heâs smiling really weird, make him stop, please,â he pleaded, and she turned around to see her dad raise his eyebrows. she rolled her eyes, smiling sheepishly at mick.
âit sometimes feels as if heâs the kid. i should go. iâll talk to you later,â she raised on her tiptoes and pressed a kiss to his cheek.Â

age 23, 2022.
sheâd landed in tokyo. the city was filled with lights, skyscrapers, and she never wanted to leave. sheâd told her dad about her plans, and had arranged a dinner for the three of them. she was the first to arrive, and was waiting for the two drivers to get there. the place was packed, but of course theyâd given priority to sebastian vettel and his daughter. her booth was away from the rest of the other tables, it felt closed off and she was glad the place was good for talking. it would be good for catching up with them.
it was night, and she was feeling quite tired after a hectic and busy day, but she had limited time before having to jump back to her own responsibilities. she wanted to make the most of her free time.Â
footsteps caught her attention, she looked up, a happy smile on her face.
âmick!â she jumped up from her seat, wrapping her arms around him in a tight embrace. it had been about a month since she last saw him, but she missed him as if it had been years. âhow have you been?â
âiâm good, you?â he asked, pressing a kiss to her cheek as his way to say hi.Â
âsame. i⌠on my way here i was thinking that maybe⌠i was overreacting, and that i couldâve just come here after the race and-â
âno, i- itâs fine. actually i- as soon as i landed i just knew that youâd love this place if you were here. so i guess i- iâm glad that you wanted to get lost-â they both smiled at his words, âwith me.â the concept of âgetting lostâ in a new place fascinated her, to be so mesmerized and hypnotized by the people and the little markets and stores, that you forget about time, responsibilities.Â
she smiled at him, nodding, she sat back in her place, with mick in front of her.Â
âoh, great, i thought i was late,â mick said, sitting in front of her, âyour dadâs always pestering me about being on time, and look at him, or- well, you know, you canât because heâs not here.â he continued, âshutting up now.â he raised his hands as she laughed.
just at that moment her phone rang.Â
âsorry,â she excused herself as she picked up her phone. âdad?â
âhey, kid, so⌠i wonât be able to make it tonight. some last minute thing with the team came up. but! you two enjoy a nice dinner, catch up, behave and use protection,â he rushed the last few words before hanging up.Â
she was left with wide eyes and heat creeping up her cheeks, she shyly looked over at mick, thinking about how to explain what her father just said.
âwhat did he say?â mick asked, still so confused about everything happening.
âum⌠dadâs not coming, um, he said we should have a nice time and catch up.â
âoh⌠well, thatâs alright with me, ifâŚâ he started, raising his eyebrows as he waited for her answer.
âyeah, i- yeah, letâs do it, weâre already here.â she smiled, pushing aside her nerves, reminding herself who sheâs with. itâs mick. sweet, kind, thoughtful mick. her friend mick.
mick, who was staring at her with those big, bright blue eyes that took her breath away.
they talked, ate, drank wine and felt as if they were the only people in the world. conversation flowed easily with him, and the best part was that he really seemed interested in watever she was saying, he asked questions, gave suggestions and advice. and when it was his turn to talk, it took everything in her not to swoon right then and there. he spoke with such confidence and eloquence, softly. and even used his hands to emphasize important points.
they had to be basically thrown out of the restaurant, since theyâd stayed thirty minutes past their closing time already. but that ddnât mean they had to go their separate ways. they walked the streets of tokyo, side by side, speaking lowly as to not disturb the people sleeping, even though it seemed that no one was in their homes, since there were lots of people enjoying the nightlife. but it never crossed either of their minds to do anything other than walk and talk, and laugh and smile. mick took his jacket off when he noticed her skin got goosebumps after a particularly strong gust of wind, draping it over her shoulders, his heart stopped at the soft sigh that left her throat as she felt the comforting warmth enveloping her.Â
shy smiles and hidden looks when the other was unaware seemed to be their favorite way of communication. their eyes spoke all the words neither of them was ready to speak, perhaps because they didnât yet know what they were feeling, or couldnât figure out a way to express it.
he walked her to the hotel, at some point during their walk his hand had found hers.
heâd pulled her close to him, hiding in an alley to avoid a group of drunk men approaching them. it was probably nothing, but mick had been quick to think of a way to avoid them. sheâd pressed a hand against his chest, looking up at him as he pressed a finger to her lips, telling her to be quiet. once they passed, and after a few seconds of silence, in which they stared at each other, he leaned down to press a kiss to the side of her head, tugging at her hand to keep walking. she licked her lips, biting her bottom one to try and stop the tingling sensation she was feeling.Â
they hadnât let go, not that either of them wanted to. but as she looked down to their joined hands, once they reached the door leading to his hotel room, she realized she never wanted to let him go.Â
he blushed under her stare, tapping his thumb against the back of her hand as he moved his hand back. since her decision to travel to japan had been a really sudden one, most hotels had been booked for the grand prix, and mick had insisted she stayed with him, claiming to have more than enough room for the two of them.Â
-
the next day, they woke up early. it was their only full day they had together in japan, and they were both more than ready to get lost in beautiful tokyo.Â
their first stop was an electronic store, where she bought an instant camera to capture their adventures of the day. after that they went to have breakfast at a famous cat cafe, which mick was dreading. itâs not like he hated cats, but he was a dog person, and the few times heâd interacted with cats they ended up scratching him, hissing at him or just ignoring him. not this time, a cat immediately crawled in his lap, claiming it as his seat for the day.
he smiled as she took a picture of him and the cat, and he noticed the way her lips curled up softly as she looked at the developed photograph.
that day would go down as one of her favorite days, an entire day with someone who made her feel special, who was almost as excited as she was about doing all the basic tourist stuff.
âi think we really are lost,â mick said, as he stopped in his tracks, making her stop as well. once again, her hand was in his. neither of them noticed when it happened, it just did. but they were both aware of how natural and right it felt.Â
âwe just have to take a right turn,â she pointed.
âyouâre sure?â he raised his eyebrows.
âthatâs what the lady said,â she nodded, taking a few steps and dragging him behind her. âsee? i told you weâd- whoa!â she whispered, looking at the huge park in front of her, filled with big cherry blossom trees. âmick, look at this,â she tugged on his hand running towards the park. she let go of him as she rushed deeper into the park.
âitâs beautiful,â he said, watching her wide eyes take everything in. she looked beautiful. a big smile on her face as she saw all the trees, the pink flowers.Â
âcome here, i want to take a picture of you,â she said, making him pose in front of a tree. in the middle of the photograph stood mick, with his signature grin on, and everything behind him was pink.Â
âyour turn,â he declared once the picture developed. he waited for her to decide how she wanted her picture, but she was simply so taken aback by the beauty of this place, that he decided to capture her like that. with her looking up at the trees, a smile on her face. she didnât notice him until he was shaking the photograph, and she smiled wide at the gesture. thatâs when he snapped a second picture.
âmick!â she laughed, taking the camera from him, he slid an arm around her shoulders, pulling her close as he shook the picture with his free hand.Â
âhold on,â he said, walking to a girl about their age, he asked her to take a picture of the two of them. once he returned to her side, his arm returned to its previous place, bringing her close to him as she slid an arm around his back. before the girl took the picture he looked at her, which caused her to look up at him. they both smiled at the same time, and thatâs when the girl took the picture.Â
after an entire day out on the streets of tokyo, they went to a sushi restaurant, nothing fancy, just what looked to be like a family-owned business.Â
âthank you for spending this day with me,â she said, taking a sip from her water. her throat was dry, her feet ached and her makeup probably needed more than just a touch-up. âi loved every second of it.â
âhey, you donât need to thank me. i- i really enjoyed this day as well, i felt⌠free,â
she nodded, sharing the same feeling.
âbesides i- i donât think thereâs anyone that iâd rather get lost with, other than you,â he smiled, his hand reaching for hers. she let him intertwine their fingers together, sheâd gotten used to the feeling of his hand on hers.
âi feel the same way,â she said shyly, and it was not her turn to watch him get flustered under her stare.Â
once they reached their hotel, with the moon and neon lights illuminating the city, they sat on the balcony to look at the pictures theyâd taken throughout the day, with a sharpie in hand to write small notes underneath. they watched the cars passing by, head the sounds a big city like tokyo made. when she got cold, instead of getting her a blanket, mick offered to keep her warm, she sat between his legs, with his arms around her.
âthis one is my favorite,â she said, smiling at the picture of the two of them standing in front of the cherry blossoms.
âmine too,â he tightened his arms around her. she leaned her back against his chest, looking up at him.
âwhat should we name it?â she asked.
âhmm, iâm not sure,â he replied, staring deeply into her eyes. âwould âlost in japanâ be too obvious?â he asked.
âmaybe,â she chuckled. âi know iâve already said it but⌠i just wanted to thank you. i really- i canât describe how much i loved getting lost with you.â
âand i already told you, i only want to get lost with you. and you know what the best part about getting lost is?â
âwhat?â she asked, leaning her head against his shoulder.
âbeing found. i- i want⌠i want to be the person you get lost with, and the one to find you. i want to explore the world by your side, and be consumed by the beauty of it, at the same time as iâm learning more about myself⌠and about you.â
âmick-â
âiâve liked you, for so long. i think you were my first crush since back in the day. the years when you went away, when we lost touch, iâd convinced myself that iâd lost you forever, and would only have to know about you through your dad. but after last year⌠in monaco, when i saw you i just knew. i couldnât let you go again. and iâve loved every moment, every conversation weâve shared since that weekend, iâve loved getting to know you, and knowing that the kid i knew is still in here,â he tapped her chest, where her heart was, with one finger. âand getting lost with you these few days has been the best choice iâve ever made. i not only got lost in this place⌠i also got lost in you. in your mind, your ideas and dreams. itâs like a paradise.â
she cut his words off by placing her lips on his. after years, they were both admitting that this thing between them was more than just a friendship, that the reason they couldnât get the other out of their minds wasnât just because they were good friends.Â
getting lost might have been the best decision they ever took. and having the right partner to get lost with. with the promise that theyâd find each other during each adventure.

Every bone in your body told you to push him away but the slightest touch got you high, the addiction to his body came rushing back and you wanted nothing more than to scream his name whilst he ruined every inch of you. But this season was different, you needed to win this championship and falling into the hands of Mick wouldnât aid you in any way.
âIâm not doing this.â You tried to shuffle way to the side but his hand pressed against the lift door, trapping you between the door and his body.Â
âNo one needs to knowâŚâ
âYou think Max wonât find out?â Arching your brows, you attempted to puff your chest out in front of him, trying to assert some dominance between you, but that only made his ego grow.Â
âOnly because youâll tell him.â
âHe guessed last time -â
âAnd you think Iâm going to lose sleep over Verstappen?â
âHeâs a better driver than you -â
âNot until I win this year, then weâll be even.â
âYou arenât winning this year Schumacher.â
âYou want to bet on it?â A smirk danced on his lips as he straightened himself up, towering over you, his eyes raking over your body before speaking. âEvery race you win, Iâll leave you alone but every race I winâŚâ His head dipped down so his lips could meet your ear. âYouâll be in my room screaming my nameâŚâ
âAnd why would I agree to that?âÂ
âBecause if Miss Redbull is so sure sheâs going to win this season then youâll surely win more races than I will, wonât you?â
He had a point⌠to an extent, if you were going to win this season then you would need to win most races in order to get the most points but falling back into his arms would start something the two of you knew would be hard to finish.Â
Mick broke your thoughts as he spoke again. âBut then again if you arenât confident enough and you really are as slow as last season then I guess youâll say -â
âYouâve got a deal, Schumacher.â You cut him off rather abruptly, getting fed up with his attitude.Â
Was it a stupid idea? Yes. But would it get him to leave you alone? Yes. Although you knew it would take a lot for Mick to forget about your little deal you were adamant you could avoid him like the plague just to avoid his end of the deal.Â
âYeah?â He cocked his head to the side, his smirk growing with pride at your words. âYou think you can handle that?â
âI drive a car around a track at speeds that could kill anyone in an instant, thereâs not much I canât handle.â Shoving Mickâs body away from you which he allowed. âAnd considering I won today that means you need to leave me alone.âÂ
Mick held his hands up in surrender as he moved back further to allow you out of the lift. âYou win y/l/n⌠just wait until Saudi Arabia.âÂ
âWeâll see Schumacher.â Your gaze was fixated on him as you backed away from the lift and headed down the corridor to your room, your mind filled with the interaction with Mick.Â
Max would kill you if he found out.Â
â
Mick was wrong about Saudi Arabia, he ended up getting caught up with Lando Norris and never finished the race, meanwhile, you and Max both finished on pole, you in P1 and himself in P2. It may only be the second race into the season but you and your Red Bull family always celebrated as if it was the last. Part of you happened to celebrate that little bit more knowing you wouldnât be moaning Mickâs name that night but things didnât stay plain sailing.Â
You and the other drivers were in Australia, the Grand Prix taking place in a mere few minutes. Horner was giving you and Max a final small ted talk for the race ahead. After Mickâs dnf and yours and Maxâs pole it set the pair of you off to a good start to the season, unlike a few seasons ago where you and Max failed to get on pole until a few races in.Â
Whilst Christian spoke you felt eyes burning on your skin and as much as you tried to ignore the feeling of someone watching you couldnât help but notice a bright red race suit looming just outside the garage. A quick glance over Christians' shoulder confirmed your thoughts, Mick was staring straight at you with the same expression he held during that night in the lift. When he felt you watching him for long enough he raised his hand and gave you a light wave. The fucked knew what he was doing. It was simple but effective, he wanted to get in your head, and distract you from winning with thoughts of himself.
âIgnore him.â Max had clearly caught on to your lingering eyes before anyone else could.Â
âIâm trying.â Through gritted teeth, you spoke back.Â
âTry harder.â Tough love was Maxâs solution but it always proved worthy. âDonât throw away your chance of a championship for a moment with Daddy's money.â
âDid you forget you also got here from Daddy's money?â
Max looked down at you, a smirk on his lips as he whispered back. âBit different, my dad was shit at racing, his dad wasnât⌠besides he was still richer than my dad.âÂ
âYou two understand that?â Christian caught your attention, his eyes shifting between the two of you as he awaited a response.Â
âYes.â You both spoke in unison, sparing a glance at one another before shifting away to get into your cars.Â
Despite Maxâs words, your mind was swarmed with the thought of Mick. Even though you regretted the deal youâd agreed to you couldnât help but remember those times youâd spent with Mick and how good it felt, the pair of you acted like a couple rather than two people who just slept together. Mick introduced you to his family, you spent time riding around his ranch with his sister and Mick even opened up to you about his dad to you. but happiness could never last. The day Mick broke everything off it left you heartbroken. But you werenât the only one who felt like that.Â
You were starting on pole, P2 to be exact. Mick was in front of you and Max was behind you. A good start was all that you needed, with that youâd be able to cut Mick off and with Red Bullâs tactics it would mean you would be able to keep a good distance between you both but Mick had other plans. After the deal was sealed he wanted nothing more than to win and watch the realisation on your face when you knew youâd be spending the night screaming his name like you used to. Even if he had to play dirty to get it, he would because he knew with his last name he could get away with it.Â
The formation lap was completed and the familiar red car belonging to Mick was just inches before you. âAnd itâs lights out and away we go!â The lights changed and everyone set off. The perfect start you needed was the one you got. Before the first corner, the two of you were fighting for the spot of P1 and neither of you wanted to back down first.Â
The first few laps were clean but it wasnât going to stay that way. On the fifteenth lap; Mick edged forward slightly on the second turning but quickly turned on you ever so lightly, clipping your car just enough to send you off the track and into the wall. It wasnât a heavy crash but it was enough to end your hopes of winning the Australian Grand Prix.Â
âFucks sake!â You screamed down the radio, slamming your hands on the wheel.Â
âAre you okay?â The concerned voice of your engineer filled your ears.Â
âIâm fine but the car isnât.â He couldnât help but let out a small laugh at your words before he continued the conversation.Â
âWeâre all glad youâre okay. The track is safe for you to leave the car-â
âWhat about Schumacher?â You spat. âThe prick pushed me off the track on purpose!â
âChristian is filing a report now-âÂ
âHow close is Max to him?â
âFew seconds behind-â
âMake sure he laps the twat.â You clambered out of the car, throwing your gloves down with a huff. You hated the idea of going back to the garages and having to talk to the media about what had happened. One thing Max taught you when you first joined was to be careful with the media. Heâd landed himself in a fair few troubles in the past with the press and thatâs something he never wanted you to fall into.Â
After a quick examination at the media tent, you headed back to the Red Bull garage to watch the rest of the race. Max had finished in P2 and much to your disgust, Mick had finished in P1. Knowing what was to come you didnât dare watch him celebrate on the podium, at that point youâd rather be hounded by the media.Â
âMarina? Iâm going for interviews.â You called to Red Bullâs head of media. She was always there to make sure you and Max didnât let anything stupid slip or in Maxâs case, not punch the reporter.Â
âYou really want to head off there now?â She asked, grabbing her kit as you watched. âWe can always avoid them for a few more hours.âÂ
âIâd rather get this done with so I can just eat my weight away in hotel food.â You replied. âBesides Iâd rather not see Mick in the media pen.âÂ
âUnderstandable.â She pulled you into a side hug and she gave you a warm smile before leaving the garages.Â
Meanwhile, Mick was basking in the glory of winning his first race of the season, not to mention he would receive his end of the deal. As the German national anthem took over his hearing he couldnât help but scan the crowd below him in an attempt to find you but to now avail he couldnât see you. He wasnât sure why but his heart sank slightly at the lack of your presence at the podium but he had no time to mourn with the sudden cold sensation of champagne hitting his skin.Â
ây/n firstly we hope youâre okay after that minor crash.â The interviewer for Sky spoke.Â
âThank you, I can assure you Iâve been checked over and Iâm fine.â
âThatâs all that we can hope for in this sport. Can you talk us through what happened?âÂ
You had to word things wisely but your anger for Mick was bubbling inside you. âHe didnât leave the space needed, he cut me off and I went into the wall. I think he shouldâve received a penalty for what he did. I was lucky the two of us werenât going at a faster speed which could have left me in a dire state but itâs amazing what you can get away with when you have a last name like his.âÂ
âDo you think you were treated unfairly by the FIA?â
âI guess weâll see by the next race, thereâs always time for a penalty.âÂ
âYouâre still leading the driver's Championship, is that weighing on your mind?â
âItâs easy to jump the boat when things start to go well but you have to stay humble and not allow yourself to get too cocky.âÂ
âThatâs a very strong mindset.âÂ
âYou learn a lot when you drive alongside a World Champion.â You flashed a smile.Â
âThank you very much y/n, weâre glad youâre okay.âÂ
âThank you.â Giving her one last nod you backed away, turning to face Marina. âHow was that?â
âI would have avoided blaming the FIA for everything or calling Mick out but other than that it went better than expected.â Her smile matched yours. âYou can head off to the hotel now, Iâll tell Max you werenât feeling too well and just wanted to sleep.âÂ
âThank you, I owe you one Marina.â If there was one person Max would listen to it was you and Marina, if she told him you didnât want to see him then he wouldnât dare knock on your door. All heâd do is send a simple text checking up on you and then heâd leave you be unless you asked for him.Â
You lay on your bed, your race suit hanging off your waist as you scrolled through social media, the only sound filling your ears came from the hotel television. Your parents and a few friends of yours had messaged you about the race, always making sure you were okay.Â
One thing that you always envied about the other drivers was how often their families would come and watch their races. Sure you had a good relationship with your parents but they were a humble couple and despite your success, they refused to give up their jobs, they always told you it was your success so you deserved to keep it but the truth was you wouldnât be here without them. That was something you wish youâd never lost when it came to Mick. His family became yours, his mother and sister would always cheer your name when you finished your races and now the pair would just smile and send you a small wave. Sometimes Gina or his Mum would approach you for a short conversation, not caring about the rivalry you and Mick clearly had.Â
Huffing you threw your phone to the side, deciding it was time to change and shower but a harsh knock at your door caused your head to snap towards the sound of the noise. âMax I told you Iâm fine!â You called out to the door, thinking the brunette was trying his luck after you told him to leave you be but the knock didnât stop. âMax I told you -â Swinging the door open you werenât met with the kind eyes of Max Verstappen but the lustful ones of Mick Schumacher.Â
âY/n -â
âYou fucking cheated today Schumacher!â Raising your hands you shoved his chest, pushing him lightly.Â
âCheated?â Scoffing he acted like he hadnât done a thing. âThatâs called driving love -â
Your voice raised as you cut him off. âDriving? You canât even do that right! Did you get Mummy and Daddy to pay off the FIA again?âÂ
Mick lunged forward pushing his way into your hotel room enough that he could slam the door shut behind him, locking the two of you in. âYouâve still got a loud mouth on you y/n -â
âShut -â Mick grabbed your waist and shoved you against the wall, one hand coming up to behind your head so you didnât hurt yourself. You noticed his actions, a small warm glimmer of affection sprouted in your stomach but your face pushed that feeling away, never wanting Mick to have his ego blown up even more.Â
âYou need to be quiet, you know whatâll happen if someone hears.âÂ
âOh god forbid someone was to find out we were together.â
âItâs not me Iâm worried about.â His eyes bore into yours as he spoke. âYou and I both know the media latch onto you more than me.â He had a point. The media always treated female drivers differently than men, always putting them down or jumping to write the most appalling headlines about them.Â
âFair point but why would you care?â
âOh come on now y/l/n do you really think I still donât look out for you?â
âIs that why you caused me to crash today?â
âItâs everyone for themselves out on that track, just because we have teammates doesnât mean we play as a team. We work as a team to get points but do you think Iâd just let Leclerc win a race because I want to be nice? Come on⌠would you let Max win just because heâs your teammate? We both know he wouldnât just let you win because you two drive for the same team.âÂ
âThen you clearly donât know Max.â
âOh yeah? Then tell me,â He dipped his head lower, both his hands on either side of the wall. âWhen did Max Verstappen let you win?âÂ
âLast season Silverstone, when I won it put me miles ahead of you. He knew how much I wanted to win so we played as a team, I did the same for him the season before, holding off Leclerc so he could win in France.â Mick looked taken back a little at your words. âAnything to add to that Schumacher?âÂ
âNope.â He popped the âpâ as the words left his mouth.Â
Changing the subject you eyed the blonde boy before you. âWhy are you here?â
âYou know why Iâm here.âÂ
âOh did the FIA finally ban you?âÂ
Mick rolled his eyes, leaning down further so his lips ghosted yours. âI came for my end of the dealâŚâ
âAnd here's me thinking you wanted to apologise for what you did.âÂ
âIâll make it up to you but I am sorryâŚâ His lips moved to your neck, as a light kiss met your skin. Instintacvily you allowed your head to fall back which allowed Mick to get as close as he wished. âBut I know you want itâŚâÂ
âYou donât know shit, SchumacherâŚâ
âYeah?â He raised his head from your neck before letting his forehead rest on yours. âYou know you could push me away but you havenât.âÂ
âIâm aware.â Your voice came out as a whisper as Mick lowered his lips down to yours but he didnât connect his lips with yours.Â
âGod Iâve missed youâŚâ His lips ghosted yours as he whispered back.Â
âYou cut what we had offâŚâÂ
âLike I said⌠I have my regrets⌠now stop talking.â
âYou canât tell me what to -â Mick finally put his lips onto yours, kissing you for the first time in over a year. Everything felt like it did when the two of you last shared a moment together, it was almost like the two of you had never been apart. Mickâs hands trailed down to the back of your thighs as he continued to deepen the kiss. His hands gripped your skin, tugging your body closer to him.Â
âJump.â He instructed. Wrapping your arms around his neck you allowed him to lift your legs as you jumped and latched your legs around him. Mick pulled away from the wall and lightly stepped towards the bed, his lips never leaving yours as he did so.Â
Every bone in your body told you this was a bad idea and that you should have never agreed to Mickâs deal. It was a stupid thing to do but in the moment you just wanted to enjoy your victory, never thinking of the consequences of your actions. But it was just a shitty deal that would last until the end of the season, right? You and Max would win far more races than Mick ever would⌠wouldnât you?
Placing you on the bed Mick knelt between your legs, a smirk on his lips as he watched your flushed face connect the dots as to what the two of you were doing. âYou look surprised -â
âSuprised I havenât called Max -â
âI didnât know you were into that.â He arched his brow before speaking. âBut Iâd prefer you to myself -â
âShame Gasly fucks me better.â
âDoes he now?â Mickâs hand slithered down your thermals, pushing the bottom half of your race suit down. You tried to shut your legs to stop his actions but Mick was already one step ahead. He pushed your legs apart with his knee before leaning down so his lips met yours. âYouâre a bad liar y/n⌠I know heâs never fucked you⌠you wouldnât stoop as low as him.â
âStooped low and went for you didnât I?â
âYouâre such a brat.â Mick pulled your race suit clean off, leaving you in your fireproof thermals. His lips attached themself to your neck, tugging at the skin which made you let out a soft suppressed moan. One hand propped him up whilst the other moved under your shirt and past your bra. Mick pushed the fabric of your sports bra up towards your chest before dragging himself away from your neck and pulling your fireproofs and bra off. âGod Iâve missed thisâŚâ Mick latched his lips onto your skin like it was the last thing heâd ever do.Â
âMickâŚâ Your voice was low as his name fell from your mouth.Â
âLouderâŚâ He demanded as his mouth found your right nipple whilst his hand moved to your left boob, tugging and playing with the bud between his fingers.Â
âYou havenât given me anything to be louder about.â You knew your words would anger him and you knew theyâd have consequences but after all this time deep down you wanted to know if heâd still react the way he used to, needless to say, you were about to find out.Â
Mickâs head snapped up from your chest, his eyes darkening at your suggestive words. âYou never learn do you?â He knelt in between your legs, his hands now lingering at your waist as he slowly took a grip on the last of your fireproofs. âYou never could keep your mouth shut.â As he spoke he pulled them down your legs and threw them onto your hotel floor, leaving you in just your bra and underwear. âAnd your words always had consequences, didnât they?â As he finished talking Mick leaned down so his face was just inches away from yours. You could feel his breath against your face as you waited for him to lant his lips onto yours but he never did. He flipped the two of you around, his hands gripping your waist as you straddled him whilst your hands pressed into his shoulders to steady yourself.Â
Mick pressed his clothed hips into your bare ones. You could feel his hard-on through his joggers as he slowly started to move his hand to your clit. Mick took his thumb and slowly started to tease you whilst his other hand gripped onto your hips, pulling you down onto his dick whilst he thrust up.Â
âYou want something to be loud about?â He added pressure to your clit, his eyes lighting up at the way pleasure slowly started to take over your body. You hated the way you fell back into Mickâs hands so easily. Every inch of you begged you not to let it get this far but he felt so good, if there was one thing you knew you and Mick could both agree on was that he knew your body better than anyone and no matter how many years passed, he always knew what he was doing.Â
Your body reacted to his actions, slowly grinding on him as he continued to toy with your clit. Rubbing circles on your skin he started to speed up and added more pressure as he watched you quicken your pace on his dick. Light moans filled his ears as you felt the slow rise in the pit of your stomach as your orgasm approached. Mick knew you were close so he sped up his actions, keeping up a steady pace.Â
âMick⌠Iâm gonna cum -â Just as you spoke those words Mick took his hand away from your clit, a sly smirk on his lips as the realisation on your face grew. âWhy did you stop?â
âMake yourself cum.â
âWhat?â
âMake yourself cum.â He repeated. âYou wanted something to be loud about so Iâm giving you something, the last time you got yourself off on my thigh your moans filled the hotel room.â
âAnd?â
âAnd you were loud and since you want to be loud now then go ahead.âÂ
Your gaze narrowed at his words. âAnd who says I want to get off?âÂ
Mick grabbed your hips before grinding them into his. A surprised moan filled the room as you gripped his chest. âDonât lie to me y/n we both know all you want to do right now is to cum over my thigh.â Mick unfortunately had a point. The last time you rode his thigh you came hard, leaving a stain on his jeans and now you wanted to do the same with his joggers.Â
Sleeping with him once more wouldnât hurt⌠would it?
Shifting in his lap you straddled his thigh, your hands still gripping his chest as you lower yourself down before slowly pressing your clit to his joggers. Your light actions teased him more than he wanted to let on. His hands ran up your skin before pushing your hair behind your ear. Mickâs eyes bored into yours as he raised his thigh to your core, his hand once pushing your hair behind your ear now cupping your jaw. Mick pulled your lips onto his as you began to move on his thigh.Â
Moaning into his mouth your pace began to quicken as Mick deepened the kiss. His free hand would occasionally slap your ass which only made grind against his thigh harder. Tugging at your bottom lip the blonde pulled away for a second, looking down at the thigh you were currently riding.Â
âLook at the mess youâve made.â His hand now ran down to your boobs, pinching your nipple before he spoke again. âSuch a good girl for me.â
âPlease MickâŚâ
âPlease what?â He acted oblivious to your begging. âUse your wordsâŚâ
âPlease can I cum?âÂ
A low laugh came from his lips. âAfter all this time you still ask me for permission⌠always so good for me.â He planted a light kiss on your lips. âYou can cum.âÂ
A breath of relief filled the air before your moans started to take over. You started to speed up, your nails leaving light marks through Mickâs shirt as your high started to wash over you. Your head fell into the crook of his neck, moaning as you finished on his thigh.Â
âGood girlâŚâ He praised you as you came. He guided your head away from his neck, watching as you came down from your high. âThink you can handle one more?â His eyes searched yours.Â
âYes.âÂ
Mick kissed you again, slowly flipping the two of you before he started to discard his clothes. âYou know I want nothing more than to feel your mouth around me,â You watched as his cock hit his stomach and as his words continued. âBut that can wait till next time -â
âBold of you to assume thereâll be a next time.â
âYou think I wonât win more races?â He lined himself up with your entrance as he spoke, his dick teasing you with every second that passed. âWe both know youâll have another DNF this season.âÂ
âIs that you trying to say youâre going to cheat me out of another win?âÂ
Mick didnât reply with words, only actions. He slammed himself into you, and he let out a low groan at the feeling of you wrapped around him. âGuess weâll have to find out.â He finally replied before pulling out and slamming himself back into you.Â
He kept a steady pace, one hand cupping your jaw as the other one played with your clit. His thumb swiped across your bottom lip before he parted your lips with it. You took the hit and took his thumb into your mouth, your gaze never breaking his as you did so. Mick moaned before slamming into you harder. âIf you arenât careful Iâll pull out and fuck your mouth.âÂ
âYou wouldnât.âÂ
âIâll fuck your mouth next time, at least then youâll keep quiet.âÂ
You went to retaliate to his words but Mickâs thumb started to speed up on your clit. The sensation of his hips slamming into yours and the pressure on your clit only made you moan louder. You tried to suppress your moans, knowing Max and a few other staff members had rooms nearby but Mickâs actions made it hard.Â
âFuckâŚâ You moaned as the familiar sensation in your stomach started to grow. âMick -â
âDonât cum until I say.â Mick could feel you getting close but he wanted to cum with you.Â
âPleaseâŚâ Your head fell back against the pillows but Mick moved his hand behind your head, taking a fistful of your hair and forcing you to look at him.Â
âDonât you dare look away.â His thrusts started to slow as he felt himself growing close. âI want you to look at me when you cum, understand?âÂ
âYesâŚâ You hated how submissive you turned when he spoke to you but who wouldnât crumble under Mick Schumacher? â
âThatâs my girl.â His head fell back with a moan as he moved your leg to hook around his waist, giving him a new angle as he fucked you harder. âCum with me.âÂ
Mick let his head fall forward, his face inches from yours as the two of you met one another gaze as you both reached your high. Mick came inside you, his body falling on top of yours as he felt you pulse around him. The room filled with your heavy breaths, the two of you coming down from something you thought would never happen.Â
Eventually Mick propped himself up, and a thin layer of sweat glistened across his forehead as his eyes met yours again. Without a word being shared, he took your lips into his, unlike the start of your night together this kiss was slow and loving. He longed the kiss out for as long as he could before pulling away for air.Â
You expected Mick to grab his clothes and leave, heâd gotten his end of the deal but his actions were the opposite of your thoughts. Mick walked towards your bathroom and grabbed a damp cloth before walking back over to you. Gently pulling your legs apart he cleaned the mess heâd made. âSit up.â His words werenât demanding but instead guiding. Discarding the cloth he grabbed his shirt and slowly put it over your body. He planted a kiss on your forehead, a small smile on his lips before he moved over to grab fresh underwear for you. âCan I?â He asked as he sat between your legs, waiting for your reply.Â
âYes.â You whispered to him. Mick treated you as if you were made of glass, taking care of every single inch of you as he helped you get dressed. When he knew you were comfortable he dressed himself in just his boxers and climbed back into bed with you.Â
âAre you okay?â His voice was sweet as he spoke. He wrapped his arms around your waist and pulled you into his chest.Â
âIâm fine, are you?â
âCourse I am. Just needed to make sure I didnât go too hard.â
âI thought you were rather weak Schumacher.â
âOh yeah?â He looked down at you. âI always told you that mouth of yours would get you in trouble.â
âItâs kept me out of it.â
âJust wait till I get you to myself again.â
But it was just a one-time thing⌠but would it be so bad if you fell into his arms again?
