Yoongi’s day was supposed to go as usual. He would wake up, go to work, work until really late, go back home, sleep and then all over again.

Though, it wasn’t exactly how things went for him.

First, he spilled his coffee all over him on his way to work, his white shirt having a big dark brown spot on it.

Then, his computer got a virus and he almost lost everything, including the latest album they were preparing so hard with his members.

Later, a speaker in their practice room somehow caught fire, ruining the mirror, filling the whole room with smoke.

And as if he thought it couldn’t go worse, he lost the last bus, so he had to walk home at 3 AM. He walked quickly, passing the empty streets without looking for cars, knowing nobody would be driving this late.

But, to his terrible luck, as he was passing a small street, a big car appeared from his left.

Yoongi’s memories from the car accident he was in before his debut, filled his mind, making him paralyzed on that spot. He stood there watching the car come closer, not even moving an inch to avoid it.

The driver hit the brakes as hard as they could, stopping right in front of Yoongi, but not hitting him.

Yoongi fell to the ground, trying not to think about his past, but his demons were still there. He started breathing hard, he knew he was safe, but his mind kept replaying the images of his past. He could still feel the terrible pain on his shoulder.

The unknown driver quickly came out of the car and kneeled next to undamaged Yoongi.

“Sir, are you okay? Did I hit you? Oh my god, should I take you to a hospital?” The woman asked, but received no response other than groans of pain.

“Sir? Oh my god. I’m so stupid.” She said getting up and pulling out her phone, but before she could call, Yoongi’s hand grabbed her ankle gently.

“You didn’t hit me.” He groaned out. “Please help me up.” He looked at the woman with pleading eyes, the woman hesitated, but put her phone in her pocket and offered her hand to him.

Yoongi got up, and leaned on the unknown woman’s car, to support himself.

“I’m really sorry, sir, I was going too fast, I didn’t expect anyone to be awake and out in the streets this late.” The woman apologized and Yoongi turned his head slowly to look at her. Her worried expression was genuine, a small smile forming on Yoongi’s face.

“No, I wasn’t paying attention, I’m sorry I made you worried, but I’m fine, you can go.” Yoongi replied and woman shook her head.

“No, are you sure you don’t need to be taken to a hospital? You seem hurt. Is your shoulder okay?” She said and touched his shoulder, making Yoongi wince from the sudden contact.

“I was hurt in the past, another car accident, but I’m not hurt now, please don’t worry about me.” Yoongi explained, looking anywhere but the young woman.

“It was scary right?” She said breaking the uncomfortable silence.

“Yes. Really. I thought I lost everything then.” Yoongi said, not even knowing why he opened up to a stranger but something was telling him to do so.

The woman offered him to go to a 24 hour café she knew was somewhere near, because her friend was working there, Yoongi agreed and got in the car with the woman.

“It seems like your day was terrible today.” She pointed out, while driving, leaving Yoongi confused.

“How do you…?” He trailed off, staring at the side of her face.

“You have a coffee stained shirt, you smell like smoke from fire and almost got in a car accident. Also, I saw you when you lost the bus and you looked really stressed.” She explained and Yoongi was shocked.

He explained everything to her, while they grabbed a coffee but he offered to go sit at a nearby park and not the café her friend was working at. The woman agreed and the both sat on a bench, Yoongi talking about his day, the woman listening to everything he said, her whole attention on him.

“You know….” Yoongi trailed off realizing he didn’t even know the woman’s name.

“It’s (y/n)” The woman said and Yoongi tasted the name on his tongue.

“Wow, this is a beautiful name.” He said and blushed at how cheesy that sounded.

“Yes, I get that a lot, but thank you.” The woman giggled.

They stayed at the park until dawn, neither of them even realizing how quickly the time was passing. They exchanged numbers promising each other they would meet again.

(Y/n) dropped Yoongi off at his dorm, the members not even realizing he was missing, being used to him working until late.

Yoongi fell asleep with a smile on his face that night and so did (y/n).

Ever since then, they met when things got hard, and became each other’s mental support.

Almost every day they exchanged good morning and good night texts, along with the occasional good luck Yoongi received before a live or an award show. They always made time for each other, not making their friendship known to anyone, but Yoongi’s bandmates.

That’s how their strong friendship started building. It was like fate wanted them to finally meet. They had already realized by then, that they were practically each other’s platonic soulmates. They loved each other, in a friendly way and kept it that way.
