⇢ a/n: no,,,it’s not christmas but im one of those people that mentally celebrate it on the daily (not really but you catch my drift). reposting this one because it’s one of my favorites and i am proud of it! also,,,i just the title as this one seems to fit the idea better!

The consistency that numerous individuals favored was the contents within the vending machine positioned in the break room, buried in the corner, dimly lit out of old age. And yet, whomever dug enough change to retrieve a prize would linger before the smudged glass, pondering on what to purchase when the end result was often the same as the day before. Quarters trickled into the coin slot, rumbling down into the bin, awaiting the signal of beeps from the buttons to be pressed. Exhaustion trembled at the fingertips while a groan audibly emitted from the stomach, confirming the need to find some form of fuel to simply exist for what time was remaining before the end of the shift.
