June is the month of wedding season and you are about to get married to your one true love.

᭥ ★ Never once had marriage crossed your mind. You were simply always too busy that you never saw yourself settling down. But when he came into your life you knew you could see yourself with him until your very last breath.

“How do you feel right now? Happy? Excited? Scared?” Your mother questioned as you admired your wedding gown. The gorgeous fabric hugged your body in all the right places and the veil that laid prettily on top of your head brought the entire look together.

“I’m not sure what I feel mother, but I know I’m ready. I want to be with him for the rest of my life.”

Your mother could only smile at your response as tears pricked her eyes. Her feelings were understandable to you. You were her only child. As her only child, you were her first and last to get married and she was not ready to let you go. Not just yet.

“Mama..” You cooed at your weeping mother, embracing her into a small hug. “Don’t cry mama.” You giggled slightly as your mother sobbed into your arms. She just wasn’t ready for this day to come.

“When i first held you in my arms, I knew i’d give you the world. Just this once this mama of yours wants to be selfish.”

You could only laugh at your mothers words. She raised you well and overtime you grew to understand her feelings, but this is what you truly wanted. You wanted to spend the rest of your life with your lover.

“I love you so much Mama..”

Your mother gave you another squeeze before backing away from you, admiring her child that was now all grown up and in all white. “I know. And I love you too.”

Quick knocking brought both of your attention towards the door. Giving your mother a quick glance you both nodded before the door opened revealing your father who held his arm out.

“Are you ready my child?” Your father questioned.

With one more quick glance back at your mother you reached out towards your father before linking your arms with him, a determination displayed across your features.

“Yes, I’m ready.”
