In Chapter 42 of the Cardcaptor Sakura manga, Sakura brings Tomoyo and Syaoran to the Moon Reading Pond at Tsukimine Shrine and attempt to show them a technique for Moon Reading that she learned from Ms. Mizuki.

The manga doesn’t reveal any information regarding what to look for when reading the moon’s surface on the water, but I still think it’s a cute way to do an intuitive divination!

To do a Moon Reading, find a quiet spot near a source of water large enough that you can see the moon’s reflection clearly. Center yourself and close your eyes, focusing on your breath for a few seconds. When you are calm and ready, petition the Moon by saying, ‘If there is something that I need to know, please show me.’ At this point, open your eyes and gaze into the reflection to reveal what it is you are meant to know!
