Naruhina Month : Day 4 - Smile

His smile 

It wasn’t a secret for anyone: Naruto smiled a lot. And not just that, all his smiles were always Hinata’s favourites. The way his eyes closed when his foxy-grin took over his features always mesmerized her. His smiles when he saw her after a really long mission, when he was eating ramen, when he was hanging out with his friends or simply when they were enjoying each other’s company always were precious treasures for her. But there also was “that smile”: that one was different from the others, but no less gorgeous in her eyes. She didn’t really understand what triggered those smiles but when they were alone together and she would simply say “I love you” or show him I much she cared for him, that was when it appeared. That smile was softer then his usual ones, his blue gaze gleaming with pure unconditional love. The emotions his eyes conveyed at those very moments never ceased to make her speechless: that smile was a special one, just for her and she swore she would cherish every single one of them for the rest of her life.

Hinata always seemed like a shy person, and she was. The thing that people who weren’t close to her didn’t seemed to understand though was that, past the layers of nervousness and shyness, she was a really bright person. She was always smiling and laughing at his antics, rather than getting angry, which he never totally understood. Well, she was Hinata after all and Naruto soon realized that he loved that part of her. The amount of joy he felt never seemed to lessen every time he witnessed the way her eyes shone when they were together. She did smile a lot more than before but he knew one thing for sure: she always saved her best ones, when her smile was as big as her face and her face lit up with nothing but pure happiness, for him only.
