obsessed with the way Nathan Hanover uses distortions to give that uneasy feeling in a familiar tune. like during my watch through of The Suckening, i noticed Edward Twilight's theme getting more distorted near the end of the campaign and it just gives that extra uneasiness of being in his presence (besides my knee-jerk reaction of tensing when i hear his original theme). he does this too for Blood in the Bayou, turning a really sweet theme into a creeping feeling that something is off and i just *chefs kiss*
i'm also a sucker for parallels so distorting a known theme is just music (haha) to my ears
just noticed the doos and scatting (?) in Sparkle and Shine and Dirt and Grime and i can't unhear it now. i'm not sure if this makes me feel better or worse whenever i hear Edward's theme
