! teaser | pt.1 !

Students around you began packing their bags and leaving the room. You hadn’t noticed seeing as you were adding extra detail to your notes.

“Y/N?” Your professor’s voice caught your attention.

“Yes, ma’am?” You asked while fumbling to put your supplies away, assuming she was kicking you out.

“Do you mind staying here a little longer? I have something to ask you and another student of mine,” she explained.

You immediately tensed, “O-Of course.”

You never got in trouble before. You thought back to anything you could’ve done that would’ve ticked her off but nothing came to mind. Your anxiety caught up to you, and you dropped in your seat, breathing heavily and eyes watering. Then, another idea popped in your mind. It could be something good. Maybe you were getting promoted to a higher level class.

You tried relaxing while you waited for half an hour, writing more notes and working on your homework. You were able to drown out the thought by giving your work all of your concentration.

The door opened and slammed shut. Your head snapped at the sound.

A tall brunette came strutting in, hands in his jean pockets, hair loosely flopping on his head. His arms defined with muscles. The white shirt he wore was loose and thin, showing off his well defined abs. His jawline sharp enough to cut you.

You recognized the biggest fuckboy and the leader of the most well-known fraternity, Sigma Omicron, on campus. You immediately looked away from him to continue your work.

“Ah, Tom, you made it! Perfect. Please, have a seat,” your professor spoke. “Y/N, you might want to move closer to us,” you looked up at her and flushed with embarrassment but nodded. “Alright, well I haven’t told you why I asked the two of you here today, but I have a proposal to make.”

You gave her a raised brow with suspicion. Beside you, Tom looked as if his soul wasn’t in his body.

“Here me out. Tom, you are failing my class while Y/N,” she smiled at you, “you are the best student I’ve ever had.”

By now, you had caught onto what she was proposing. It seemed as if Tom did as well because he was glaring at the professor with his arms crossed.

“So I was wondering if you,” she looked at you with pleading eyes, “could tutor Tom.”

“Do I even get a say in this?” Tom spoke up.

“You do, but if you don’t want to take my class again next year, I’d take up on this offer. Y/N here can surely help you boost your grades.”

You considered but the thought of the jealous girls attacking you and him flirting with you made you shudder.

“Please, Y/N. I’ll give you extra credit,” she begged.

“I-” you began, only to be cut of by the brunette beside you.

“She should be able to make her own decisions without you begging her, professor,” he said cheekily.

Your jaw dropped, leaving your mouth agape. You couldn’t believe he talked back at a professor.

Feeling empathy for your professor, you replied, “I’ll do it. I’ll also take those extra credit points.”

“Thank you!” She chirped happily before regaining her composure, “I trust you know what you’re teaching, and Tom, don’t scare her away.”

He rolled his eyes, “If that’s all, can I go now?”

You gave him a judgmental side-eye which he chuckled at.

“Yes, you may go,” she dismissed the both of you.

By the time you finished packing, Tom was nowhere to be seen. You hadn’t scheduled your first class yet, so you now needed to chase him down.

You saw him walking away, hands still stuffed in his pockets.

“Tom! Wait up!” You called after him, rushing on your feet.

His head snapped at the mention of his name. He stopped in his place.

“What do you want?” He groaned.

“We need to schedule our first session. When are you available?”

“Already preparing our first date?” He smirked, rewarding himself with a glare from you. “All week, darling. I prefer we take lessons on Wednesday, though,” he said seriously.

“Alright. Let’s meet at the library this Wednesday at 4 P.M. Bring a notebook and pencil. See you then,” you scattered away before he could reply.

The less time you spent with him the better. As long as you avoided him as much as possible, nothing could go wrong.

Right?
