🖤💙???? In this case it would be an au where everyone lives and nobody dies (because they haven’t met in canon) but they’re both so close to Late and I though it would be interesting.

OOOOOOOOOO okay this is actually one of my favorite theoretical friendship dynamics-

- in a nobody dies au, chess and farrah both quit the team to go to rehab

- which is how eva still gets her cheer scholarship and joins the team

- kate originally intended to quit the team because chess left but she decided to stay and claimed it had nothing to do with the cute new flyer

- eva and chess actually meet because they have an elective together

- uhhhhh i'm just gonna pick one at random and say they have stagecraft because that's a class i took and enjoyed and also because it leaves a lot of time for them to talk and get to know each other

- so they're building the sets for the school musical

- on her first day, eva is very obviously scared and doesn't really know anyone so chess, not realizing eva is also the new flyer, offers to partner up with her

- they get along right off the bat

- and start partnering up for just about everything

- after their first class, eva asks where her next class is and chess has an off period next so she shows eva where it is

- they would remain just those in class friends, like you have a class with them and you get along and sometimes you acknowledge each other in the hallways, if it wasn't for kate

- chess and kate are, ofc, a package deal, and within like two weeks of kate and eva starting to talk regularly, eva is invited to hang out with the two of them

- so she and chess start getting closer

- the first time they fully hang out on their own, eva is doing homework and struggling with a problem and texts chess for help

- chess happens to be out for a walk at that exact moment and she's not far from eva's house so she offers just to come over and help

- they sit on the back porch and eva works on her homework and occasionally asks chess for help and chess reads a book on her phone that she's been working on - a book eva happened to recommend to her

- eva finishes her homework and asks chess what she's reading and they get deep into a conversation about it

- by the time chess has to get home, it's getting dark and so eva drives her

- they make plans to hang out again

- and now they're friends!!!!!!! because i love them!!!!!!
