You were sitting at home in Nene’s room after having a long day of exams and drama.

“How was your test?” You asked Nene.

“I probably didn’t do well, unfortunately… But, oh well! How was yours?”

“I think mine went really well. The questions weren’t as hard as I thought they would be.”

“Yeah, I had some pretty easy ones too.”

A slight pause.

“So, what happened with your friends?” Nene asked carefully.

“To be honest, I don’t really know…”

“Can you try to tell me?”

You sighed. “Well I was telling my two friends about how well I thought I did on the test, and one of them said, ‘stop bragging. Just because you did well doesn’t give you the right to brag about it.’ And it really hurt…”

“What did you tell them to make them think you were bragging?” She asked.

“I said, ‘I think I did pretty well on the test. I studied a lot for it too. I really think it paid off.’”

“That’s not bragging,” Nene said, her eyebrows crunching together. “That’s just being excited over thinking you did well on the test.”

“I know…” You replied, slight sniffles leaving your nose. “But I can’t help but think I did something wrong…”

Nene tipped your head onto her shoulder. “Please don’t cry. Please. You didn’t do anything wrong. I’ll help you tell them that tomorrow. Okay?”

“Okay…”
