Tw: mentions of blood, murder and death

"When was this file made?"

The young detective asked, looking up at the older gentleman in front of him, who was sitting at his desk that was full of papers and filed reports of different people. The young detectives dark brown eyes locked with his, waiting for him to answer. His head tilted to the side slightly, becoming more curious of the file.

"It was not so long ago.. A few months ago, actually."

The older man replied, shifting in his chair slightly. The man then took the cup of coffee that was on his desk and took a small sip, looking down for a moment before looking back up at the young detective. He placed the cup back on his desk in silence, then got up from the chair and walked towards the younger man.

"He's been giving us trouble for years now, ever since.."

He trailed off, looking down to the file that he gave to the young detective. His gaze was on the picture that was taped to the file, staring at the scarred face of the man he has been dealing with for over a decade now. The man seemed to go to his own world, the surroundings starting to disappear as his eyes were glued to the picture. He quickly was brought back to his senses as he felt a slight nudge to his side, brushing it off as he started to walk away from the young man, going to the window.

"I'm sure you already know."

He turned his eyes away from the young detective and looked outside the window, looking into he outside world.

"Yeah.. I know. He's the reason I wanted to be a detective.. his case is.. interesting."

The young detective spoke, his gaze lowering to the file once more.

The older man sighed, his body slightly shifting once more. He opened his mouth to speak, but nothing came out, slowly closing it the moment after. It was clear he wanted to comment on the younger mans words, but he decided not to. But it was clear that he started his work with the same reason, yet it has been stressful and hard since the start.

He.. they finally had Jeff in their grasp. A slip up happened and he killed half of the task force and escaped. Jeff Hodek was clearly a strong and smart individual, since he got out so fast and he managed to go through security. The older man thinks Jeff wasn't working alone, though the camera's can't lie. The footage of his escape still on his mind ever since he saw it. And he started to question is Jeff even is human anymore.

"Sir. Do you think we could.." The young detective trailed off for a moment, but then continued. "..catch him once and for all one day?"

The older man sighed.

"In all honesty, Daniel.. I have no idea."

He paused for a moment, turning to face the young detective.

"I've been working on his case for 15 years now.. and I finally caught him a few months back. And he-"

He stopped himself from continuing for a moment, hesitantly speaking once more. His voice was slightly softer now, almost like a whisper, a small frown on his face.

"He killed 10 people while escaping. One of them was my son, Ethan."

He spoke the last few words shakily, clearly emotional of the topic of his now deceased son. The man took a moment to compose himself, though there was a glint of sadness in his eyes, and the younger detective knew that his grief gave more pressure onto him. It only made his mental health worse, but it made him more determined to catch Jeff and put him behind bars.

"My condolences, sir. I'm sure he's in a better place now. And.. I'm sure well give Ethan some justice.."

Daniel said the last few words with a slight smile, trying to reassure and comfort his grieving co-worker.. even give him a little hope. The older man nodded, smiling slightly as well.

"You're right.. We can't lose hope now."

Daniel walked along the trail, going back to the warmth of his own home. He had his work bag with him, containing the files he had got from the older detective, dressed in a black coat letting its warmth sink in as the outside temperature wasn't quite nice.. cold and windy, typical autumn weather in these parts.

It was a busy night, people walking along with him going back to their homes, or going to a night shift job.

He just continued to walk, his eyes peered ahead, the grip on the bag was tight, making sure it was secure. He sighed to himself, his legs becoming slightly shaky from the tiredness he felt after a long day. But he continued to walk until his eyes lit up from seeing his house. He smiled tiredly, walking up to the front door, placing his hand in the pocket of his coat, taking out the front door key. He unlocked the door, quickly going inside and locked it once more. You can never be too careful.

He placed the bag on the floor for a moment, so he can take his coat off, hanging it on the coat rack on his left. He took the bag once more, walking into his home office so he could place them in a safer place, putting the files into the drawers. He took a last look at Jeff's file, looking at the same picture his older co-worker stared at, then placed it in the drawer with the rest.

He took out another key and locked the drawers as well. And after that, made sure the rest of the door and windows were secured, before going to bed.

He slipped under the covers, moving his body around to find a comfortable position, then slowly drifted to sleep.

"Young detective, Daniel Miller, was found dead in his home this morning at 5 am. The police was called after his neighbor, who wishes to stay anonymous, heard screaming coming from Daniel's home. As his house was inspected, it was believed he had been murdered by an individual whos is believed to be the missing female teenager Nina Hopkins. The anonymous neighbor told the police that he saw someone Nina's description running down the street as he got outside to wait for the police, and they have sworn they saw her covered in blood. Investigators believe that Nina was looking for someone's file, since Daniel's office looked quite destroyed, files thrown around everywhere. One particular fie was found 100 yards away from the murder scene, the file of our well known man that we dubbed 'The Killer', splattered in blood."

The reporter spoke as she stood in front of Daniel's home, looking into the camera and spoke into the microphone in her normal gruffy voice. She raised her brow, shifting slightly.

"The question is.. why did she kill him?.. Why did she need 'The Killers' file?.. what was she planning and why did she run away?"

She paused, glancing at Daniel's house for a moment before she spoke once more.

"If you have any information that could help with the case, please contact the police as soon as possible. My condolences to the Miller family.. may this poor young man rest in peace."

"Her demise"

TW: mentions of death, blood, knife, choking, a very pissed Jeff, slight sadism

Another part of the lore in my Jeff Hodek interpretation au.

She struggled in his grip, her eyes wide as his eyes pierced into hers. He continued to hold her neck tightly, having her pinned to the ground, a knife in his other hand, both his hands gloved, breathing heavily.

He smelled like sweat, cigarettes and the metal like stench.. blood. It almost made her gag from the smell that got to her nose. Jeff's scarred face was consorted to a face of pure rage and disgust. He never left his gaze off of her, his grip still tight, his breath hitching as his chest rose and fell uncontrollably. It took him a while to find her.. it took him a while to catch her.. but she was now pinned down by him and Jeff wasn't letting go anytime soon.

Nina was in trouble.. big trouble.

She was scared, terrified even. How come he was acting that way? Didn't she kill all those people...just for him? She was just trying to help. She was killing those who were trying to get Jeff. She was just killing them to get to him.. to find him and tell him what she's done. Nina thought he'd be proud.. oh, she was so wrong.

Nina tried to kick him off of her, but he was older, bigger.. stronger. She knew he was a so called 'beast'.. but this? Oh, she now regrets crossing his path.

The young woman couldn't scream, the grip he had on her neck was too tight for that. That look in his eyes.. it was pure hatred.. he was furious. A bit of Jeff's sweat dropped down on Nina's face, clearly using all his strength to keep her down.

Tears now started to gather in her eyes as she desperetly tried to get out of his grip, to get a gasp of air. But it was no avail.

Jeff was a serial killer, yes.. but he had his morals, he killed people if he had a reason to kill them, if they were an actual threat or they weren't a good person. It doesn't really make him any better than those people he's killed, yet again.. he's trying to do good. Trying to do something that the law didn't have the courage to do at times.

And Nina, instead of following his ways, if she was his 'fan', blew his reputation even more by her not so needed killings. It was like Stasy all over again.

No.

Stasy was a nice young lady, who wouldn't do something like that. She was a small troublemaker, but not causing this kind of trouble. Stasy was normal, she had humanity, she had kindness. Nina is nothing like she was.

She killed the innocent, she killed people that didn't deserve their fates. She took out lives, she killed young people that were about to start their life officially or children who were just messing around with his story. Children who were just joking around. How could she have the heart to do that?

Does Nina even have one..? Is she that much of a monster?

She stopped struggling, remaining in his grip. She lied there were pure horror in her expression, tears now streaming down her cheeks, her face slightly red and puffy from crying. Jeff continued to stare at her in silence, his grip on her never loosened. His mouth opened slightly, as if wanting to say something, but he knew he couldn't speak. He wanted to curse at her, to scold her.. he wanted her to know how he felt. But he thinks she already knows what he thinks.

A few more moments pass and he finally lets go of her throat, letting her gasp for air. Nina let out small gasps and sobs, her breath hitched. He still had her pinned, just staring at her, the look of rage and hatred still in his eyes. Her tears continued to run down her cheeks, soaking her face.

"I.. I'm s..sorry!"

She choked up, finally speaking after a while.

It was an apology. But they both knew that one 'sorry' wouldn't change what she's done. It wouldn't bring back the innocent souls that had their lives taken by her. One sorry is not enough, it will never be enough to pay back for all of the trouble she's caused.

Jeff just scoffed, irritated by her two words. If he could talk, he would have said 'You have to do better than that, kid.' He still had the knife pointed close to her, just continuing to stare at her as she cried and sobbed. He started to calm down, he was no longer breathing heavily and his breath was less hitchy, yet he still glared at her.

The young woman continued to sob and cry, not really knowing what else to do. She didn't expect for him to be so mad about what she did. She didn't expect him to start hurting her. Did Nina really deserve this?.. in Jeff's eyes, absolutely. He didn't care that he was causing her pain.

Jeff slowly lowered his knife to Nina's chest, aiming at her chest cavity. It made her gasp as he did that, which caused her to panic once more. She didn't want to die. Not like this.

"P..Please! H-Have mercy! I'm begging you!"

Nina's voice was shaky, pleading and full of regret and pain. She still had to gasp for air as her sobs and cries made her choke up more. Her face showed pain and guilt, she was even more red and soaked from her crying.

Jeff not being able to speak was only making it worse, almost making him look like a predator that caught his prey, and now he's just toying with her, causing her to panic, not knowing when exactly he decides to end her. He liked seeing her like this. He was making her feel what her victims felt when she killed them. She didn't like it one bit, and it only made Jeff's urge to kill her stronger.

Jeff hates her.

He let out a quiet sinister chuckle, looking down at the knife that was pointed at her chest, finally taking his gaze off her tear filled eyes. The tip of the knife was placed at one spot in particular. Jeff slowly made a small 'x' with the knifes tip, but didn't draw blood or hurt her. Not yet, anyways.

The coldness of the blade made Nina shudder slightly, a shiver running down her spine. Her breath grew heavy once more, choking up slightly as she tried to speak, but nothing came out except for sobs and the sound of her heavy hitched breath.

Jeff raised his knife, making Nina's eyes go wider than she could have ever before. She let out a scream, but it was cut short by the sharp pain that hit her suddenly.

It was the knife, sunken deep into her chest. It was more painful than Nina expected, and it wasn't long for the blood to pour out and for her to drift into unconciousness. Nina's vision became blurry, the last thing that she saw before everything going black being Jeff's blurry figure, his sinister chuckle ringing in her mind for the last time. Her eyes closed for the last time, her chest stopped rising and falling as she took her last breath the second before. Nina's body going limp.

The knife remained in her chest, the blood staining her shirt, even starting to make a pool beside her.

Jeff remained still for a moment, then pressed to fingers on Nina's neck, double checking, making sure she's really dead. He let out a satisfied sigh when he couldn't feel her pulse, staring at her face one last time before he took out the knife, more blood coming out of the stab wound.

He finally got up from her limp body, taking a few steps back before he turned around, not looking back.

Jeff was soaked in her blood, the knife still having blood droplets falling on the ground. He started to walk away, placing the hood over his head as water droplets started to drip down, slowly becoming into full rain. The rain soaked Jeff's clothes, the mud that was being created by the rain only making his clothes more dirty. But Jeff didn't mind, nor care.

Another successful kill. Another pest.. evil.. gone from this world.

He was now calmly walking back to his temporary home, his hands and knife in his hoodie pocket.

...

Jeff wondered if Luca went to bed on time.. or was he up late again?

He'll find out once he gets home..
