Why is today not settling right?

I need to see, so I need the light on, but I don't want its brightness

I need fresh air, so I keep the window open and use a fan to circulate it, but I don't want the cold or the noise.

I want to write down all these ideas before I lose them, but I don't want to be stuck on a computer all day.

I want to run some errands and get some things I need, but I don't want the strange looks and pain that come because I am still using the walker, and it's hard to get around.

Why is today not settling right?
