HI SORRY FOR NOT POSTING YESTERDAY i would've posted something even though yesterday i kinda just drew djmm oc cringe but nonetheless i have treats Today

arachnomorphs!!

i would call them a spec evo project, if i actually thought into their evolution more. DJMM/MM-themed spec bio project more like?

The general idea is that after humans have gone extinct (and i still need to plan out HOW for this), mammals actually get dominated by invertebrates and the newest intellligent species on the block are the arachnomorphs, a spidery species that gained their intelligence after adapting to a glacial period, after they began using their eggcase silk to create clothes and keep them warm and that lead to them being even more Crafty with their silk.

One thing that i find kinda interesting about them is that their gender roles are really strict but gender identity is like. extremely fluid. Like let's say in your tribe and you're a dude, and said tribe is going to war. But oh shit, there's not enough women. our troops are very numbered we can't just go out like this. It's cool - then you could just volunteer to go, as a woman. You'd dull your colors and you'd cover up your abdomen flaps and you'd just head out into war.

Or if there's a festival, and you were a girl. Men are typically the gender aligned with performative acts and entertainment. But you had an amazing voice and you wanted to go on stage. It's cool, you can just go to the festival and sing as a dude, you'd put on some makeup and you'd wear some intricate clothing, and boom. People tend to have second names so they're able to just switch between the two easy peasy.

There's actually 3 intelligent species, the arachnomorphs (DJMM), the mantidmorphs (MM) and the nautilus guys that yet to have a name, which were originally going to be the DJMM-themed species.

Wanted to draw Comet and Fritz from @ntls-24722 !!!

Aracnoids have 19 breathing pores (wich three are their noustrils) and the rest are on the torso. When angry, relife, or sneez, they expel steam cause from liquid excess of their body. (Also, I did draw how his pants kinda work becouse I was borde XD)

<”3, surprisely when emiting steam, he sounds like the steam coming out of a steam maching, even, if he blows really hard he can make the sound of a steam train (but thats mostly when he is truely mad and readdy to attack, wich is spooky ´. w  .` ;;;)

(lil contex why Linx said salud: she is spanish, and in the context of some one sneezing, she says salud or Jesus just like in english with blesh you after sneezing) 

And though he isn’t mechanical, he can make thouse sounds with no problem. All his alien kind can.

It would be cute! But aracnoids tonges are for blending the food they eat. The only have the malets, retractable canines and four molars in each side.

2: This ones are from @artastic-foe :

There tons of alcohols in space some safer than others since a few are straight up corosive acid. And Dj knows his limits, he can drink at least 5 shots, but instanly fall sleep when drunk. And the risk of been alcohol posioning is then bottles of booz for aracnoids.

Reptiles (and amphibian and some birds) animaloids can reproduce thier own body heat, but has to be in synchrony with the temperature of the place, and like with humans, when they grew up in an ambient, when changing to another ambient, they have to get use to it. But theres some materials that helps reptiles, amphibians and birds, like: temperature clothes for reptiles & amphians, temperature rooms with moist and heat, and if they want can hang a heat lamp in their favorite spot <"3. In the case of Aracnoids, there two types: the ones who grew in warm ambients (Dj Swing) that loos their furr in the first and last molt. And the ones living in cold ambients, that even haveing a first an last molt, they still conserve the warm and protective furr.

yup, they are a thing in the future in my comics <"3 And from Dj opinion... He would be hapy for both of them, and more knowing their back storys, and still recomend follow Freddy's advices in flisrting instead of wikihow, but he would be also like this...

Dj and Monty adore spicy food and sauces. Even do comeptitions of who can handle more the spicyest foods. Linx also loves spicy food but she knows her limits.

For the actual human dj i realized it would be good if i did that thing where characters' limbs get thinner as they end and that's the way to incorporate his skinny ass arms?

Also a weird hc of mine is that DJ cries or cries crocodile tears with wiper fluid either from an actual emotional event or just to clean them out and in the fire ending his eyes are all melted bc of it

Only Aracnoids civilians would freak out a lil bit like the humans. But Swing is a fighter and warrior so he is mostly surprised by your human Dj. Tho Linx seen the aftermath might ask for more medical supplies. And bring some food for boths blood levels.

He's not actually that hurt, This human DJMM just happens to be huge and therefore has a lot more blood. Minor nosebleeds often look like he got beaten into oblivion.

I don't know if that would freak out Arachnoids. I'm not sure if humans are around in the space guard AU, but with the lack of magical powers I would imagine the image of humans would be that they're comparatively weaker.

Though I still think Swing would win against him 💀

They actualy prety much show up if they want o become leaders, specially if the previous leader is retiring or died for any reason or in fight againts a Dovem Yasude. And they usually only kill them two or three times a year since even Dovem Yasude are killing eachother or the rest of the fauna. If the previous leader is still there, it will choose the right next leader and then new one, does the test/ritual I mention before (Learning how to protect their people and the best place to move if things get worst). If the previous leader is no longer with them. After the funeral, the town does a honesty test and then still do the same test/ritual.

Edit here: Also, the leader ship can take as long the leader can go or chooses.

Also, Aracnoids can live really long. Before Soul Music Man became the last Aracnoid leader. There was Tick Pa, one of the oldest and bigest aracnoids, been 28 feet tall at his 598 years old. Aracnoids, like earthlings, can vary in size. But, the older the aracnoid the bigger they get. They do have pauses of fisical grouth when they turn 30 years old. Then when they are near 100 years old, they start growing again, and so it continous the cicle of fisical grouth in Aracnoids.

I already mention the Dovem Yasude. But here how they defended them selfs from them and a lil bit more. Like.

The leader and protector of the town, cities, or the utopias. They are allways in the wachers/ Danger Waching buildings in the middle of the trunk of the tree. Also they deal with their people problems there, but with the extra help of their better half with the civil problems. Even in the more civiliced and futuristic times, they used to do this..... Till Burntrap destoed their planet.

To become the Lider of the Aracnoid, you have to do the traveling test in case of moving your people In a emergency, and kill a Dovem Yasude on your own. Not only you defended your family and people but also provided them a feast of Dovem Yasude, that could take an actual year to be finish. Then use the Dovem Yasude exoskeleton to make reinforments, armors and do or fix houses. Their culture was a survival one, they saw any one as equal, so you would see men and women doing the same jobs. The more people helping, the bether. Even if that meant becomenig a bigger target.

Every leader has the simbol/medal of of leader ship, given after defeating their first Dovem Yasude and protecting their people.

Now that they are living on Earth, even in danger of extintion. They are finaly living the peace centuries of generations worked so hard for. Even if that meant moving from home. They still have survival instings, and allways ready to help. On Earth, are now without a lider since many along with the people trying to save the Aracnoid kind before Burntrap destroyed their planet. Evacuating most of the people from their planet dying + Burntrap minions traying to stop them, killing warriors, space guard and civil people in the way. The last Aracnoid lider died in there, but acomplishe saving and evacuating 291 life-saving vessels that each one had 499 Aracnoids in. Save them before the planetexploded with him in it.
