These two are like brother and sister, though the familial resemblance isn't obvious. Probably because there isn't one. Blade is a good big brother nonetheless. And Jewel's been a big help around the boat with that sword of hers.

Soren's kind of a moody guy. He's got beef with the ENTIRE world and he's gonna do something about it! He's just a guy doing his best (which includes terrorizing everyone around him minding their business).
Yeah... he's a real piece of work...

Blade, Rat, and Jewel are 3 of 4 characters that my story The Cynicore Solution will be about. I have plenty to say about them, so I'd appreciate if you check under the cut. (โ ย โ ๊โ แดโ ๊โ )
Rat bugs the FUCK outta Blade and Jewel. On a near daily basis. Jewel's much more annoyed by him than Blade is, as you can probably see... ๐
Blade will entertain Rat's musings all day, and that's why Blade is one of Rat's favorite people ever. Though Rat is currently trying to claw the one eyeball Blade has out of his face... So Rat isn't particularly Blade's favorite. But despite that, Blade doesn't hate him.
Jewel on the other hand... When she sees him it's on SIGHT. She can't STAAAAAAAAND him. Always meddling in her and Blade's everyday lives. And the Mf won't fight like a normal person, which throws her off her groove... ChAlLeNgEs HeR to try something different. What bullshit, amirite?
Blade sort of thinks of it like enrichment for Jewel to beat up this grown man a couple times every week. ๐ He wants the best for her, no matter what. Jewel also thinks Blade's the coolest, too- even if he can be SUCH an overly responsible adult sometimes.
I wanna share more, but I don't wanna reveal too much about all of them before the actual story can come out! Guess that means I should buckle down on writing, huh? ๐คช๐ญ๐๐ป God help me..

Rat and Soren โค๏ธโ๐ฅ๐
Rat and Soren are two little peas in a pod. (โ โโ โฟโ โโ ) Soren's got the drama, Rat has the flair, and they both got the /~luxurious hair~/. Rat's great entertainment to Soren, and Soren sure does like spoiling people (well, he likes spoiling Rat at least).
I drew this way at the start of 2024, so don't mind the linework imperfections (and don't tell Soren, please).

I wonder what their deal is.... Who knows! All their names are secrets for now. I honestly just really wanted to show off this artwork. I also figured y'all would like to see characters other than, Blade, Rat, Jewel, and Soren for once.
Btw, how do you make a website? Will I have to resort to Webtoon for the time being? I don't want to. Maybe I should kick into high gear instead of daydreaming all day every day.

First Looks: The BFFsies (Best Fighters 4ever...sies) โ๏ธ๐๐ธ
These are some skilled fighters!
Ichigo Kirito Kiryuu is unnaturally talented with a katana,
Jasper Gray is always graceful on the battleground with his especially large bow and arrow,
and Cherry Blossom is a gifted leader and tactician in a fight!
They love to spar against each other... Tho Ichigo and Jasper seem to fight out of an annoyance towards each other rather than a love for the sport, much to Cherry's chagrin. Not that she'd ever tell them that, tho.
Btw, Jasper's bangs are totally on the wrong side of his face in this art- whoopsie!
Soren's Lore Dump
Soren is 1 of 4 main characters in Cynicore (you can read about the other 3 โจhereโจ).
He's got some secrets up his... Not sleeves.. that I don't want to reveal before the actual story comes out. But there are some things I can show y'all!
Soren positively loves Rat. There isn't a world where he doesn't adore Rat deep down in his soul. Rat just possessed a sort of je ne sais quois that Soren's quote drawn to, and he's dedicated to creating the perfect life for them. It can get to be a little overbearing at times, but Rat revels in attention, and he loves Soren just as much, putting on shows and performing bits with the dramatic demon.
Soren doesn't care much for teenagers- and the younger the teen, the less patience he has. Though he thinks his intentions are good and he WILL make an effort to impart wisdom upon them, he just comes off condescending, especially to Jewel. Jewel hopes she doesn't get as moody as Soren when she's his age.
Last but not least, there's just something about Soren that makes Blade feel sad. And there's something about Blade that makes Soren feel defensive.
