aether viatrix is a socially awkward genius with a paranoid streak, living in the mysterious world of strangerville. from a young age, aether has been haunted by his encounters with aliens, experiences that no one ever believed. his relentless curiosity drives him to uncover the secrets of strangerville, even as his past encounters leave him wary of those around him.
i'm actually very excited to play with aether ! i found a new save file to play him in so i'm looking forward to it.

aether is settling in nicely into his trailer home in strangerville. he did a little bit of gardening, some reading (this was from before he showered and did his gardening), before going off to his first day as a lab technician.
somewhere in strangerville's secret lab....
the cctv camera captures the scene in grainy black and white from a high angle near a window. the time-stamp reads "03:47 AM". the lab is dimly lit, with the faint glow of moonlight filtering through the dusty windowpanes. a box full of old, dusty files sits on the floor near the window, partially obscured by shadows.

aether viatrix, a young man with ginger hair, fair skin, and distinctive green glasses, steps into view. he’s wearing a mushroom-patterned cardigan and brown pants, though the black-and-white footage makes it hard to distinguish colors. aether cautiously approaches the box, glancing around nervously before kneeling beside it.
he opens the box carefully, rifling through the contents with a sense of urgency. papers rustle as he pulls out various documents, his eyes scanning them quickly before discarding most back into the box. he pauses on one file, pulling it closer to the dim light by the window to read it more clearly. his expression is one of intense focus, brows furrowed in concentration.
i went ahead and made his "trailer" a little bit bigger because truthfully, it was just too small. aether managed to gather all of the evidence to create a secret dossier and managed to buy the keycard (goodbye 250 simoleons), and he'll be heading to the lab pretty soon.
we're in some deep shit...
the secret lab in strangerville – early morning
the secret lab is in disarray, filled with the sounds of clattering metal and the enraged roars of the mother plant. its grotesque form dominates the center of the room, tendrils thrashing wildly. aether viatrix, clad in a protective hazmat suit, stands determinedly at the forefront, his green glasses barely visible through the suit’s visor. three others, now free of their infection but still recovering, stand beside him.
aether viatrix (voice slightly muffled by the hazmat suit, but resolute): "this is it. we end this, together."
the mother plant screeches, sensing the imminent threat. aether grips a makeshift gun filled with the infection vaccine in its liquid form—his last hope after hours of relentless research. his companions brace themselves, ready to fend off the Plant’s attacks.
aether aims the gun, his hands steady despite the exhaustion. he pulls the trigger, and a stream of the vaccine in liquid form bursts forth, striking the mother plant. the plant recoils, its tendrils flailing as the vaccine begins to take effect. aether’s companions move in, distracting the plant and shielding aether from its desperate counterattacks.
the lab fills with the sounds of battle as the mother plant struggles, its strength waning with each passing second. aether fires again, each shot weakening the creature further. finally, with one last, powerful burst of vaccine, the Mother Plant collapses, its body convulsing before falling still.
aether viatrix (breathing heavily, lowering the gun, voice filled with relief): "it’s… over."
his companions exchange weary but triumphant looks. the battle was brutal, but they succeeded. aether surveys the now-silent lab, his body aching with exhaustion, but his mind already processing the knowledge he’s gained. the world outside will never know what happened here, and aether, ever the introverted genius, is content with that.
aether's home – morning
as the sun begins to rise, aether stumbles into his small, cluttered home, still clad in his hazmat suit. he glances at the clock—7:00 AM. the weight of exhaustion presses down on him, but he knows he needs to rest, if only for a moment.
aether viatrix (sighing, to himself): "just a quick nap…"
he collapses onto his couch, too tired to even make it to his bed. the hazmat suit is discarded on the floor as he closes his eyes, sinking into the worn cushions. within moments, he’s fast asleep, finally giving his body and mind a chance to recover.
the aliens did things to him :(
