阿贝多 (albedo);

albedo was the chemistry major you’d normally find in the laboratory after classes. usually he has his mind focused on analyzing substances or doing some experiments, most commonly with sucrose helping him

other times you would see him in the library reading some academic research or with a sketchbook drawing for hours in his free time

you were certain that he was the type to stay indoors with how pale his complexion was in comparison to most of his peers. at some point you could barely tell if he was under the weather

nevertheless, you’ve seen him multiple times to be able to prompt a conversation with him, which to your pleasant surprise made you from strangers to familiar acquaintances to friends

it became a common occurrence for the two of you to make small talk on a daily basis. there was a barrier between the two of you but it was a comfortable one, you found a sort of escapism with him and it wasn’t long before butterflies started hatching inside you

yet an overwhelming fear engulfs you as the idea of him rejecting you looms above. he had the name of the ice prince among his admirers and you could confirm it. his face was mostly stoic, a lack of expression on his face unless a topic interests him

but beneath physical signals you can tell that he enjoyed your company, he hasn’t dismissed you as easily as other people so that must be a good sign right?

well, as semester exams ended another year you find yourself wondering how summer will go without the habitual routine you do everyday

you and albedo expectedly disconnect between the last days of university as you lost sight of him. were you drifting away? you couldn’t really tell, but you knew you would miss his presence when you leave for the summer

so you packed your bags and returned home, planning to go to the beach as a way to cool off…
