the way the dynamic just ... drastically changes to something even more sublime and exquisite and sinister and sensual in knowing that whatever vegaspete are gonna have on the show is going to be consensual. the way that straight away confirms to us that pete does in fact have a darkness to him. that he has a pull to it. that instead of allowing a venomous snake into his room, he chooses to go into the room with the venomous snake in it. the way vegas has kept it stored in the back of his mind that pete did not look away from him as he physically tortured someone when everyone else did. the way how in a holy sacred place of worship, vegas breaks all the rules and touches pete inappropriately, and how that stirred pete into a trance that he had to break himself out of. the way they're both going to let themselves be pulled towards each other's darkness even more and let that turn themselves inside out, become almost unrecognisable to themselves. imagine letting someone who's no good to anyone ruin you and you find yourself relishing in it because you want that? imagine letting someone who's so good to everyone ruin you and you find yourself relishing in it because you want that? because who else has made them feel this way? more notably though, who else have they ever allowed to make them feel this way? more importantly though, when have they ever allowed themselves allow someone else to make them feel this way?
