My favorite Pines family moments from Thisisnotarealwebsitedotcom

Because let's face it, some of those lore drops hurt, and some of us cried! I sure did. SO let's dig past the angst and look at the positives the website DID give us! Spoilers under the cut!

First of all, this little tidbit. Ford willingly writing a joke he got from Stan into the note, and even letting himself laugh about it! It is so damn cute he wrote out his laugh. Like cmon.

Also him praising Dipper for being curious, and coming into his lab despite him saying not to. He knew Dipper would, and you know what he did? He left this note, praising the boy for his curiosity!

Second: Him discussing how Dipper and Mabel will be fine, as long as they stick together. "A true mystery hunt isn't about the mystery, it's about who you're hunting with. Finally, I understand that..."

MY HEART? Ford saying the mystery isn't the priority, but who he's with is? And extending that to the younger twins, knowing that they'll be fine, because they have each other, and by extension, Ford will be fine because he has Stan now? LIKE HELP ME?

The fact Soos is comfortable enough to keep pestering Ford about this. Ford isn't snapping at Soos or telling him off, he's just saying to stop asking because he doesn't know what he's on about lmao

Ford giving Stan PRAISE for breaking into the lab? Like think about that for a second. He went from not wanting Stan anywhere NEAR his things, let alone lab. But is now pleased, and proud of the fact that Stan did? As well as letting his brother know where the beers are, so he doesn't have to look? Arugh, my heart. (I also thought Ford wrote BEES instead of beers, and was very. confused.) I want to write a whole post surrounding this bit too. The implications that this simple sentence brings. Ruaugh

That when you type Mabel into the console over and over, it puts stickers everywhere! Since this implied to be Ford's lab we're in, it just goes to show that she's also allowed in there. (Making assumptions here, since obviously we have no concrete thing saying she's allowed in, or that Ford isn't bothered by her stickers everywhere. But I highly doubt he is, or would be.)

When you type the infamous decoded "Love ya bro" from the book of Bill, you get this little darling picture! Things of note, Stan drew this. No way he didn't. He gave himself ABS after all, as well as it being in the classic Lil' Stanley style we all know. On the back is more Stan Bros code, saying: Wanna keep codes from parents and cops? Here’s a hint: Kings of New Jersey!” Stan either remembered the code on his own, or Ford retaught it to him. Take your pick, whichever one seems sweeter to you. Regardless, they're still using it! This little doodle just depicts what we've all wanted for these two old men: Them to be happy, and together again! And we GOT it!

Dipper's note about anagrams. Seems normal and dandy, but I wanted to point out he used the term "Grunkle" for Ford. He did in the book of Bill too, but this is just another instance that shows while Ford may still be his idol, he's also his family. He isn't using "Great-uncle" anymore, worried about sounding formal or correct. He's allowed himself to use his sister's moniker, further showcasing just how close they are!

Soos and his letter was awesome. I'm so glad to hear how happy he is now, but this part gripped me hard. Stan knows how awful it was every year for Soos to get postcards from his dad. So he isn't sending any! He remembers this factoid, and makes sure not to send Soos any reminders of his father. Just goes to show how deeply Stan cares about Soos. (If giving the whole frickin' Mystery Shack to him wasn't enough!)

Mcgucket's letter, ending on the note about his son. We know they're repairing their bond still, but this is just another wholesome moment we get to see. He's using his nickname for his child, and discussing their bonding so casually! Mcgucket you deserve so much, you keep fishin with your son.

And of course, the journal pages showcasing Ford and Mabel's adventure. But NOT just these two, I also want to point out a few details that made me lose my mind

First up, Ford writing this down. Not only is he letting himself be vulnerable in admitting that he has a defense squad against Cipher, but letting Mabel be in it, as well as his assistant. And the HATS! Him recording this just means he felt that part of the interaction was so important, that it needed to be put into paper.

Mabel noticing her grunkle's anxiety surrounding being near the statue, and seeking to comfort him! Not only comfort, but doing it in her fabulous Mabel way! A whole sock puppet show and everything! Ford laments that this funeral is bittersweet, but that Mabel helped him further accept what had happened, and that it was in the past. Furthermore, him letting her WRITE in the page! As well as letting her decorate it, and put her Mabel flair onto it.

Ford not only calling Mabel his assistant again, but also doodling a souvenir pen from the Mystery Shack, and CALLING IT THAT!

Ford signing the journal page as usual, but also getting Mabel in on it. This is such a stark contrast to how he viewed her during the show, and I am here for the bonding! Letting her decorate it how she pleased, writing on the page, as well as doodling them together! Ford allowing a depiction of him to be put onto paper, compared to how he used to scribble out drawings of himself in his previous journals. Its just such a big sign that the two are bonding, and that he loves her just as dearly as her brother.

The "Imstillonyourmind" code, that gives you a video of a boat at sea, near a harbor presumably. With Stan laughing and talking to someone in the background, (Someone being Ford, no one else I can think of.) The two are laughing over a story Stan is saying, and Stan can't finish it because the person, (Assuming Ford) interrupts him, and the two keep laughing.

Y'all. This video has me in absolute shambles. The two laughing so hard together that they can't continue the story? Ford adding on to it, causing Stan to laugh so hard he can't finish it? Them on their boat, together, LAUGHING? THE-

If more is released or I forgor something, I'll simply make another post because I am feral over this happy family, and I will gush about them forever.

also I shouldn't need to say this but please do not tag this post as ship.
