Sam and Jack + Jack’s faith in Sam/her abilities
Of Blues and Brains and Bubbles
Her mind has clamped onto that hint of despondency she’d seen on his face with a single-minded determination it usually reserves for the thorniest of physics problems, and no amount of logical thought, of reminding herself that Jack O'Neill is her commanding officer and a perfectly self-sufficient man who doesn’t need or want her comfort, has been enough to shake the suspicion that she needs to check up on him.
It’s ironic. She’s the one still on bed rest, after all.
A Grace fix-it fic, because I wanted to write a smart, perceptive Sam figuring it out.

So married for real at this point. So married. That’s my personal canon for Sam and Jack and I’m standing by it.

Why I’m Pretty Damn Sure it’s Canon: Stargate SG-1
I’m a sucker for desperately unspoken love stories. Normally, in pop media, it’s intentional or unintentional same sex love stories that catch my attention. But for once I’ve noticed an opposite sex version that I find interesting. This is the first time. Perhaps the last. But apparently I’m a sucker for this kind of storytelling no matter what the gender presentation of the characters.
I’ve been re-watching my old favourite, Stargate SG-1. I wish all my ships got the kind of canon resolution Sam Carter and Jack O’Neill get in this series. To me, it’s perfect. But when I look around I see a lot of fans who don’t see the satisfying resolution I do, which, to be honest, I’m coming to expect at this point. I always like my resolutions to be something I have to work for a little bit. I like there to be gaps and questions. I like to work it out myself, and have the space to imagine exactly how it happened. To me, that’s a perfect resolution, but I understand that I’m a weirdo when it comes to this stuff.
Most of the fun for me comes in having to argue for it.
So, with no further ado, for the enjoyment of pretty much no one but me: this is why I’m positive that Sam Carter and Jack O’Neill hook up in the season 8 episode “Threads”.
