You were like a work of art — so beautiful and ethereal. He couldn’t believe you were all his for the taking.
He couldn’t help but be greedy at times. Sometimes he didn’t want you to talk to anyone else at all. That was how greedy he was.
If he could, he would handcuff you to him so that you wouldn’t be able to leave. But he knew he couldn’t do that.
Besides, he soon learned that you didn’t want to leave his side. You were a shy little thing, always hiding behind his back when meeting new people or when you had to talk to strangers at the market.
