some advice for everyone that i picked up on to keep conversations with a stranger going if you get to chatting with someone maximize your “yes ands?” people are much more willing to engage with you when you put effort into trying to keep them talking throwing out random topics that vaugely relate to the situation at hand is a good one too it'll give you a chance to transition into another topic so you can engage with the person outside of the situation be it stuck in a lift or line or in school or any of the type trust me it does get easier you just need practice people are much friendlier than you think this of course wont work always obviously people are different but from experience most people do enjoy talking to others
