Hello! Welcome to @the-catmans-offical-2 blog!
Primarily what I will post here is art, currently pertaining to a hyperfixation I have, as well as maybe some writings I'll do! I make music occasionally but I'm way too self conscious to post such, the music is basically only instrumentals; I don't sing, after all I can barely speak verbally without stuttering or whatnot.
Here is the art sona I use! It's just a cartoony cat stick figure that can be seen in some of my artworks; Whether it be commenting on certain things, a general doodle out of boredom, or whatever. Ok so I'm loosing motivation again for tonight so I got some sketches for the Al centric AU I was talking about with his soul inhibiting a plush or stuffed animal rather than the suit of armor. Yes, it's impractical for the plot or whatever; But I think it's silly so I will be silly.
This isng a ref sheet or anything, it's just some random doodles that came to mind before I said fuck it and gave up.
I'm gonna call this AU "plush al au" in the tags, just a heads up.
The place where I put the blood seal is temporary until I either figure something else out or whatever. Idk yet, this AU is very early stages.

Honestly that makes more sense, I was thinking about it myself when sketching designs for the Plush Al AU; But that AU isn't nessicarily a very realistic AU, more like a crack AU if that makes sense.
Regardless, I fucking love the idea of a puppet Al; But what kind of puppet would he be? You mentioned Pinocchio, which made me think of stringed puppets, and I love that.
It also made me think of the wooden Fleicher(?) toys ans the collapse toys!

There's also a porcelain option, like porcelain dolls; That'd be a funny excuse to have Ed carrying around a porcelain doll.
OR THOSE RUBBER HEADED TOYS ( that's a stretch though, bc their bodies are fabric and the heads are modern durable and flexible. Like leather.)
Or tin toys.

I dunno, there's a lot of options probably; I might sketch up some designs regarding all of these options now that you said something though. (Excpet the puppet one if you want to draw that up or something of the sort; Since that was your idea, and an amazing idea at that. I genuinely love it)

What if like, instead of armor Al's soul inhabits a different object?
What if it was one of Ed or Al's toys? They're young kids, so I suspect they'd have toys (You can't tell me Ed and Al didn't have stuffed animals that they'd use for comfort after their mother died).
Now I'm just imagining an AU where Al's soul is in smth like a plush that either him or Ed owned, a gift from their mom before she died, and Ed just attaching Alphonse's soul to it.
I feel like they'd have to keep it a secret, maybe pinako and winry would know but no one else. Not Roy nor Riza nor anyone. To everyone except Ed and the remaining rockbells, Al is dead and didn't survive the human transmutation; But Ed *insists* on carrying around this plushed animal that he constantly talks to, and Roy swears he heard it speak or saw it move.
Idk this was just a thought but now I wanna draw up smth for it; Has anyone else thought of this? Like, alternatives to the armor I mean in the terms of other items the boys would have. I need to check again but I'm pretty sure I saw two toys in the first episode in the room Ed and Al preformed the human transmutation, so I mean it could've happened. From what I remember there was a doll and a bear, but I could be wrong.
