meowth vs arbok

seems to be meowth's gimic to have regional variants for all the regions... but why does arbok not have any regional variants? that was kinda its shtick, having a different pattern for each region... so why not give regional forms?

what would a pokemon region based on the midwest be like?

i’ve got a few ideas after some thinking. 3 ideas for [mid-west region] gym leaders; 1. [pokemon corn] farmer grass leader, 2. 2 leaders in 1 big city 1 of 'em being very caffeinated poison leader the other being former plasma grunt dark leader. also 2 ideas for fire starters. also an idea for a bear water starter. regional variants of Pokemon: ice meowth, rock-ghost rolycoly, water-ice Ducklett, electric-grass skiddo, fairy-flying starly. also with 2 new weathers: Acid rain (a rain retexture that boosts poison, and weakens grass and bug types), and Baleful winds (boosts crit rate of ghost and dark types, also boosts evasion of ghost types)

((just as i finished typing all of this i looked it up and colorado is not in the midwest like i always thought it was and im too tired to delete this whole thing so yea))

im not sure honestly, theres a lot of potential. for me ive always wanted to create a region based on where i live which is colorado, and create pokemon that are based on the wildlife here.

and apologies for sharing a bit too much, but i wanted to share these really rough sketches of what the starters would look like. i will probably change the mountain lion to an elk since thats the most popular animal here.

the bug/dark type fly is early bug ‘mon idea. the other 2 are pretty obvious
