Friends (Hybrid Bunny Male Reader x Hybrid Tiger Kim Taehyung)

You have always been a shy bunny. You always hid behind your large brown and white dotted lop ears. As prey, your parent always told you to look around your surrounding and never be alone with a predator. If you are going out, always be around a crowd of people around you and your pepper spray.

You tend to keep to yourself, never having the courage to talk to your classmates in school and much less now in college. You were currently studying (Insert career), and this was your first semester, meaning you were a freshman or fresh meat. It was hard coming from an only prey town community to the city where both prey and predator lived. 

You always kept in mind that not all the stereotypes about predators were true, but to a certain level, you knew you were never too careful. 

"And with that student, we end our session for today. Please note that there will be a quiz next class, and I will let you use your notebook for the quiz. So If you take good notes, you will have a good grade." The professor, a tall bull, started packing his item. Some students rush out of the class, and some others had stayed to speak with the professor. 

You slid out of your seat and started organizing your things to put them in your backpack. Your mind buzzed with random information like 'What were you going to cook tonight?' 'How does a relationship between a frog and a fish would work?' 'Monkey dont pay taxes?'. It was an ongoing list of things that rushed your mind. You slipped out of the classroom with a small goodbye toward the professor, who smiled back and waved.

The halls had various hybrid sizes, from tall seven ft(213.36 cm) males and females to four ft males and females hybrids. Quite diverse if you were to ask a bunny like yourself. You were five feet (152.4 cm), not small like an ant hybrid but not tall like a giraffe hybrid. Your ears twitched when you heard the loud laughing from the cafeteria. 

'Maybe I should get a snack.' You thought to yourself, nodding as in an agreement to yourself, you headed toward the large open area. The cafeteria was the hybrid that could eat and chill. It was the perfect place to mess around with your friend and talk freely. You went to the vending machine, and there you saw the snack you wanted the berries and chip with some carrot juice. 

When you got your snack, you headed toward an empty seat next to the window where the sun was shining. It was stupid how most of the chairs are built for tall hybrid and not small ones like yourself. You put your backpack on the table with a lot of struggle, and soon, you pulled the chair out about four inches away from the table. Now the process was tricky, but it never failed you. 

You placed your right foot on the metal bar of the chair, and with the other, you impulse yourself up the chair sitting with success. You were so proud of yourself that you didn't have to redo the move, so you, as a min celebratory move, wiggled in your seat, swinging your legs happily. Your excitement radiated around your body as your nose twitched and your tail fluttered like crazy. 

When you were about to crack open your drink, you heard a soft laugh that made you stop. Your ears twitched at the melodious soft laugh. It wasn't an obnoxious one, more like at airy type.  As curiosity took your being, you wanted to look around. You were set to find who had this kind of laugh that made you feel soft and putty. 

When you scan the area, you were shocked to see a tall slim but muscular guy. His skin wasn't pale, but to you, It looked like a warm beige, almost like an ivory color. It was beautiful, and it had a natural glow to it. You could say you were virtually jealous, especially when you saw his smooth facial structure. The guy looked like the Greek gods themselves built him. His hair was a light brown color or ashy brown. The hair styled in loose wave complimenting his skin and his face perfectly, giving him a half innocent look and a wild vibe.

The male seemed to wear rather expensive clothes as you remember passing by the mall seeing a similar clothing style as he was wearing. Prada? Or maybe Dior? You were not sure because you like to keep your style simple and economical if it looks good and it had a reasonable price, then it is part of your closet. You did not know why but you felt a bit self-conscious with what you were wearing seeing this gorgeous man in front of you, and you were wearing a pastel purple sweater that gave you hand paws and some skinny jeans and keds on your feet. 

Biting your lips and adverted your eye away from the male covering your face with your ears, you were once again meet with another melodious laugh.  " You are too adorable." The strange male perched you. His whole body gave a dominant aura, but his voice was so relaxing to hear. 

"Hey, don't hide from me. I am sorry I laughed at you. It was adorable seeing you try to climb up the chair. " The male pulled out his chair and just pushed himself a bit before sitting on the chair. You took a tiny peek from your ears and saw two small rounded white and black ears from his hair. You shifted your view from his ears to the male's striped tail. 

You gulped lightly and held your breath. Tiger. " Hey, dont be scared I am not here to harm you; I was just curious about the pretty bunny." Your face is coated with red chewing on your lips a bit harder. You were fighting your instincts to run away from the tall predator, but you wanted to force yourself to speak.

"Hi." Your voice soft and shaky you were nervous. You did not want to make a male's bad impression. The male gasp quietly and give you a large boxy smile. His sharp teeth in the display made you shiver, but you shook it away. "Hey. You are a shy one, aren't you?" He asked in a lower tone. You did not know how to reply but just nod. 

"It's ok! Oh, my name is Kim Taehyung." The male tiger is now known as Taehyung. He put his hand out toward you as for you to shake it. You saw his large hand. He had regular nails, so you reached toward him with your tiny hand and giggled at the difference between his hand with yours. 

He wraps his hand around yours as you did with his well, not warp, but the handshaking action was there. " (M/N)." You said. 

"Beautiful name (M/N)!" Teahyung said back. Taehyung sat there with you for quite a while. He was making most of the conversation while you shyly replied yes or no to his question. You felt comfortable with the male around you. It was nice to relax in a predator's presence. You two sat there until you saw the sunlight starting to diminish. 

"Oh no, I should probably get going it." You gasp at the time. You hated being outside late at night or what your parents would consider late seven. Taehyung sat still as he studied the way your nose twitched and you bit your lips. He also notices the signature bunny teeth you have when you speak or lick your lips from your drink. " Um, do you perhaps have a car or something? I won't want for you to be out alone. It could be dangerous." Taehyung asked in a worried tone, which was new to your ears but still endearing. He cared about your safety.

" No. I usually take the train. I dont have money for a car; I only have enough to pay for my rent and food. I am here on a full paid scholarship program. But It's fine. I am sure that it is safe. I usually have pepper spray with me." You replied, wiggling yourself down from the tall chair and picking up your trash and bag with you. 

Taehyung slid out of the chair quickly and followed you toward the trash bin. " I dont mind giving you a ride home. I really dont mind." Taehyung interjected almost with a slight panic. Teahyung knew that the streets at night were safe with the government's laws, but there were always those who broke the law. Predators that would love to manhandle an innocent and pure looking bunny such as yourself.

You tilted your head back to see the taller hybrid looking down at you.  "Dont worry, Taehyung, I dont want to be a bother." You walked around the male and walked out of the cafeteria with a pleading tiger trying to convince you that he would take you home.  You felt a bit overwhelmed. You knew his intentions were for good, but you still didn't trust him. You thump your foot on the ground making the male stop. 

"Taehyung. I know you want to help me, but you need to trust me everything will be fine! If something were to happen, I'd call the police or something." You explain with care. Teahyung crouched down and made little chuffing sound. You, on the other hand, let out a honking like sound. " I know you probably dont trust me yet, but I want to get to know you more. I  have seen you around, and well, you were kind of the talk of the whole university. I tried to approach you, but I didn't know how comfortable you were with a predator like me. I didn't want to scare you away. I understand if you dont want to speak to me or maybe avoid me, but all I want is for you to be safe." Taehyung confessed his worries and his wants. His ears and tail match his emotion of sadness and anxiety. 

You were shocked to hear what he said, and yes, he was right too, but he made you feel safe and comfortable. The stupid stereotype your parent had implanted in you was off the table.  Yes, your instincts still made you want to buck it, but your human self was fighting it. Taehyung was a silly and intelligent person, and you wanted to know more about him, more about Kim Taehyung, the person he is not the predator he was.  Your foot itching to thump again, but you held it in.

Your eye met with his beautiful honey eyes. They were almost hypnotizing. " I don’t want to." You whispered. 

"Huh?" Taehyung replied.  You played with your sweater paws and bit your lips again before answering. " I dont want to avoid you. You have been the first one since I moved to speak to me. I am scared, but I hate it that it is my bunny side telling me to run away. I want to get to know you more, Taehyung. I just need a bit of time to get used to you. It is not every day somebody comes to me and talks to me about my tactical move of sitting on a chair as you did." You giggled, covering your mouth with your sweater paw. 

Taehyung blushed but automatically brighter at your words. You wanted to get to know him more. The tiger displayed his unique smile and laughs. " I promise I just want you to be safe. It is a big city for a small and adorable bunny like you. Would you please give me the honors of taking you home as your first friend?" Taehyung asked with a hint of charm in his voice. You laughed and placed your hand on his hand. " When you put it that way, How can I not say no?" You said.

With that, both the tiger and bunny grabbed their backpacks and went on their way—two different kind of animals and two distinct categories: Tiger and Bunny, predator and prey.  Friends.

A/N: I hope you guys like this! I saw that this had a bit of potential to be a Gender neutral if I change some word around it make me so euphoric but since i am doing a male reader series on AO3 it is better to stick with that I started.
