The fact that Jurassic World sets itself up as a generic monster movie when the original broke new ground in media representations of at the time accurate dinosaurs is precisely why I despise the movie.  What is the purpose of making  a so-called nostalgic tribute to the original film if you miss the entire point going?  It’s a misguided cargo cult of a movie.

Monster is a relative term. To a canary, a cat is a monster. We’re just used to being the cat.

legendary is basically establishing itself as a major producer of expensive old-school monster movies. (x)
