okyy..🥲
but can you tell me what characters in any urdu books were misunderstood? any of them they deserved to be known as better?
Hmmmmm...let me think...
First name popped up in my head is of Amraha Wajid from Yaram by Sumaira Hameed. The lead. Like, whenever I spoke about the book... everyone said Amraha annoyed them because she seems too stupid n her behaviour was very ridiculous. But tbh, if you've read the first two chapters carefully... you'll know...what a terrible childhood n teenage she had...no girl deserves that torture in her own home, just imagine what depth of her fears and self hatred was...! And despite that, she was so innocent. She never lost her kiddish nature because that was her coping mechanism!! Along the novel her character grows, the reason why she avoids Aaliyan is par understanding of common people...she had been given one chance in all her life...and she didn't want to disappoint the family who never left any chance to disappoint her. Imagine that strength. So, yeah..even if not favourite...Amraha would still be someone I'll think well of 🌷
Second is Farishtay Ibraheem from Mushaf by Nemrah Ahmed. No one sees what she did for Mehmal. No one saw how she left her right for the sake of peace...but just one mistake ..that too..if we realise...she was already there for Humayun even before Mehmal arrived...yet she waited 9 years...I strongly felt that moment that she was the grey, honest n natural character in the book. Humayun was a disappointment and Mehmal sounds idealistic. But Farishtay was realistic one. We shouldn't call her bad just because of one genuine attempt to have her share of happiness.
