Summary, Cluedo style: Charles and Edwin, in the library, with their words.

“Just take the compliment,” Charles says and moves to push the pile of books in front of Edwin away. He perches on the end of the reading table and bends close. Charles’ hand touches Edwin’s chin to tilt his head up and he leans in. The kiss is tender, rather than hungry, but Edwin feels desire bloom and ache through his chest, nonetheless.

“Thank you,” Edwin breathes out against Charles’ lips when the kiss breaks.

“Good lad,” Charles says, his voice low and honeyed.
