TRANSMIGRATOR’S GUIDE TO: Yuhua Wei

A “good student,” a “good friend,” a nobody. From that, to the voluntold assistant of Divus Crewel, stuck in the world of Twisted Wonderland where magic and arrogance run rampant.

This is the story of Yuhua Wei, another “Yuu” among many.

You’ve probably never heard of him, or maybe you have. Either way, this new and improved guide will give you a way to start getting to know him!

Below is more information about our self-saving scum protagonist~

PERSONALITY

Yuhua’s outward persona can change depending on who he is with: you could call him a people-pleaser. Around staff and certain upperclassmen, he is respectful and earnest. Around close friends, he is a bit more outspoken and brash, but also playful and encouraging. Around strangers, he is meek but affable when spoken to. So on and so forth. However, the degree to which he speaks his mind is varied—you could compare him to a nesting doll. Always removing or adding a layer that hides his true self, whatever that may be.

He also possesses a manipulative side, which is part of why he tries to appeal to people: so that if he needs to, he can use favorable opinions of him to make his life more convenient. Emphasizing his helplessness or weakness when he cannot do something himself; complaining so someone will take notice of a problem…

Of course, Yuhua would rather not stand out—it would be too much for his insecure, introverted self and too inconvenient. The practical part of him believes that being a polite, respectful side character is the role the universe has decided for him. However, he isn’t above what some would consider slightly immoral. After all, he always adapts to his audience, and in the villains’ world, one must do as the villains do.

ABILITIES

System: The strange aid that Yuhua was given upon transmigrating. It appears in the form of holographic floating screens that only he can see, and makes the world of Twisted Wonderland seem like a mix between a game and reality. The main story books and events are considered to be “missions” for him.

It allows him to check his status, relationships with others, their opinions of him, and possess a hammerspace inventory with more items than he could physically carry.

It also has a strange function regarding memories…

Potions: The System, plus tutelage under has allowed Yuhua to unlock the recipes to and make a vast array of potions, such as healing ones. He mainly uses these during battles.

TRIVIA

Much like how the teachers have their own uniforms, Yuhua also has his own magic-enforced “dorm uniform.” It seems to take inspiration from a Far East fairytale, where a young maiden was aided by her late mother in the form of a beautiful, golden carp. Yuhua wears a locket that is enchanted to switch him into his dorm uniform when he opens it.

He typically wears what looks like the standard school uniform, because 1) it goes under his labcoat in the classroom due to safety procedures, and 2) it makes him stand out less.

Floyd calls him “Koi.” Other students will frequently refer to him as “the TA” or “Crewel’s TA.” His more commonly-used nickname is “Yu.”

Personality:

Jewel is quite extroverted with a fiery nature, speaking her mind freely and has been known to get into a few spats with different students. Her open and playful attitude is shown more when she’s with her close friends and is never one to back down from a playful fight. She has a strong competitive spirit and has been known to have a short temper, however despite her “quick to fight” attitude that shes gain, she’s kind and loving towards her friends, and even more towards those she’s closet too.

Jewel is quick-witted and secretive, although not intentionally. Despite her extroverted nature known to a lot of people that meet her, Jewel doesn’t actually talk about her personal life or her life back in her world unless she’s specifically asked about it, which initially lead to her friends to realize that they knew almost nothing about her.

Jewel is confident in herself and in her talents however does she have her moments of insecurities, mainly about her understanding of magic or how she still has trouble adjusting. When there are times Jewel needs to be serious, she becomes cold losing her carefree attitude and replacing it with one of strictness and sharp words. She isn’t afraid to show her dislike towards someone and will at times be very open about it.

Background:

Truth be told, Jewel knows little about her family only knowing that she and her brother grew up in a circus, her brother made it a deal to keep their families background from Jewel. Despite this, she never really made an effort to know more about her past and was content with how her and her brother’s life turned out for the better. Even back in her own world, Jewel was known to have a bit of a temper and would get into fights with people who would either bother her or other members of the circus, because of this her brother and her would argue about her fighting habits.

Back in her world, Jewel was part of an acrobatic act that consisted of mostly contortionist. As she grew up she learned various tricks whether they were silly close up magics, illusion tricks, contortion, or different kinds of dances. Coincidentally She once tried practicing to be part of the trapeze act but she fell and nearly face planted onto the net and gave up on it.

Before being transporting to Twisted Wonderland Jewel and her brother had gotten into a nasty argument. Jewel had gotten a part in a small musical that a theatre close by was orchestrating, she had wanted to give the audition a try and try something new. This wasn’t because she had grown tired of the circus life or wanted out she simply wanted to try something new and on her own. However when the time came for telling her brother, he was heavily against it. A terrible argument unfolded one that in the heat of the moment her brother stated she depended on people too much and didn’t have what it took to make it on her own, and Jewel who renounced her life in the circus and her brother, before running away. Not knowing that’d be the last time they’d see each other. (Cue Jewels Dream)

Jewel Trivia + Headcanons

When she first arrived she was actually cold and standoffish but as she got closer to the duo she started to become more of her extroverted self.

Because of her habit of keeping her personal life to herself, nobody really knew she was part/raised in a circus until she scared the living daylights out of Ace and Deuce one day from back bending after Riddle threw a teacup towards them (she was standing in between both of them) they thought she had broken her back and Deuce nearly fainted when she did it.

Started her own club called the “Dance Society” but she currently remains being the only member.

Actually had wanted to start a club to teach others contortion but Crowley had denied her request stating he was not going to be held liable for any broke bones or injuries.

Jewel uses the gym after the Basketball club because of the space and because she can get most of her tasks and work done by the time they finish.

Likes to use her contortionist skills to scare her friends.

Ace had once asked her to teach him some tricks but quit after just a few flexibility warmups. (He was left sore for days)

Despite never learning how to swim she likes the water but never goes any deeper than chest level.

Floyd threw her into the pool one day but she just let herself start to sink instead of splashing around and panicking. Floyd thought she was messing around until he noticed she actually wasn’t coming up at all.

A terrible cook. Anything she touches burns, it’s a miracle her and grim are still alive. Probably places second to Lilia but at least she follows the recipe she’s just terrible at it

She actually wears glasses and needs them to see from far away but so far has managed to handle herself without them (she occasionally uses and old pair from Sam’s Shop and mostly uses them at night or in class)

Dislikes Vil because he had called her a potato when they had first met and didn’t like how he criticized how she talked or how she acted which led to Jewel punching him for his rude remarks (however Vil never actually meant to insult her and simply wanted to give her advice but his choice of words weren’t the best ones)

Later on they slowly started to get along but refuse to admit it. If anything they’re more like frenemies.

Actively got into a lot of fights, whether it was form people picking on her or seeing people bullying someone else.

Mostly got into a lot of fights with Savanaclaw. She became friends with Leona through those fights considering he’d have to step in or Ruggie would inform him.

Initially I had actually wanted to make a twst version of Esmeralda from The Hunchback of Notre Dame, but along the way I started added to some changes to her design and some of my own traits to her character design . So she still remains being inspired by Esmeralda and I tried to keep a connection between the two, however I ultimately did add my own take to Jewel and her personality.

Summary:

Extra Information: She has a sibling-like close friend who attends RSA, Her favorite color is a deep blue, She likes stargazing (casual), She's memorized half of Heartslabyul's rules by Year 1, and is attempting to memorize the rest by the end of this year (for fun).

“Reveal the site of what once was.” Snapshot Evidence: Adelia’s unique magic that can be used with any picture (physical or digital). To use this properly, she must think of a specific person and a specific time, and if that person was at the place she took the photo of during the time she was thinking about, the person appears in the photo permanently. It's a particular spell with a penalty system that creates more blot if she's wrong than when she's right. Thankfully, Adelia's cautious and meticulous, so it's rare for her to ever be wrong in the rare times she does use this power. Although her photos are generally known to be true through others' confirmations of events, it's not completely trusted by others because she can't solidly prove that these photo manipulations are an exact illustration of what happened. Unknown if it can accurately predict the future.

Curiosity:

Housewarden Riddle’s overblot wasn’t the first one I witnessed.

The first one was just down my neighborhood, when I was about… Hm. 7 years old. I was coming back from a walk with my escorts when I saw Styx members quarantining the overblotted person. Mm, I guess I couldn’t call them a person anymore. I didn’t get to see much of it. I wasn’t tall enough. Still, I could see some of the damage caused to the nearby buildings, with pitch black ink dripping down and slithering through the cracks of the sidewalk.

Apparently, the sight wasn’t morbid enough since it didn’t pique my curiosity enough for me to learn about it.

Of course, until now.

Why, you may ask? Well, because I know about the basics of blot accumulation and overblots now, first off. But more importantly, because Housewarden Riddle wasn’t the last overblot I witnessed.

Doesn’t anyone else find this strange? Doesn’t anyone else find this dangerous?

Doesn’t anyone else want to piece together this awful trend? Or is it just a minor every day event for them? Are you aware of what’s happening?

It was merely sympathy at first. I respect Housewarden Riddle, and there must have been a great deal of trauma involved for him to get to that state. That’s what I told Cynthia.

But two in a row? Both of them are Housewardens. And so close in time, too. Aren’t overblots supposed to be rare? That’s why I’m curious.

Will this trend continue? And if it does, what am I going to do about it?

“I mean, you always have the choice of ignoring it, you know. Like most others do?”

“… Then why did you even ask—“

“Well, just in case~ Even though I already knew the ever-so-righteous Adelia wouldn’t just ignore it.”

Gather data on the overblots and see if there’s any future ones.

If there are, figure out the reason.

Ultimately, help stop it, but keep others’ safe until I can find a way.

A/N: YAYYY basically done with the YAI to TWST pipeline!!! Here's Adelia, my other daughter and the other main character of Your Artificial Image that I missed so much.

In here, basically what Adelia and Cynthia do is just. Try and find out what's happening with the overblots, and try and stop them. Near Book 5, Adelia decides to pair up with (threaten) the Headmage and get more access to the student files. Anyways, that's how those two will get more and more involved within the main story!!! I will expand more on them, hopefully. While Cynthia does things for the sake of doing, Adelia always has a reason for her actions, and that's what makes them suit each other so well!!

AND NOW!! With them, I’ll be able to draw other characters I don’t draw as much because their personalities suit other TWST characters’ dynamics!! YIPPEE YIPPEE WHAT JOY!!!!!!

Summary:

[A confident yet pitiful girl who believes herself to be the perfect heroine. A hardworking student of Pomefiore with a well-hidden superiority complex, she adapts to peoples’ desires willfully to be loved (or at the very least, not hated). She acts in a range of personalities, all of which she believes are her real self. However, there are some parts where she hides permanently, which are things that she thinks aren’t suited for the ‘perfect female lead’.]

[An intellectual who shapes herself through the basis of romance fantasies (usually with some mentions of royalty and high society), she obtains a new goal when a foreigner descends on this world and steals the spotlight she worked so hard on. "I’ll create my happy ending through love." Pink Filtered Vision: Kalmia's unique magic that she uses for new beginnings. It makes people lower their guards around her. This can make people not care about Kalmia at all if used too heavily, but Kalmia mastered it at an early age. When used, others see her as someone “good”, having them potentially ignore the dangers of answering her invasive question. Of course, it all pairs with her body language and specific words, but it's effective nearly all of the time. She has kept her unique magic well hidden, but she doesn't consider it a secret.

Her Goal:

I’m the perfect heroine. I adapt flawlessly to my surroundings. I can play the part of a ditzy yet hard working girl who tries her best. I can act as if I’m not as weak as others think I am. I can be as mysterious or as innocent as others want to see. I can be the perfect heroine to everyone’s eyes. I can save them, and perhaps they will save me.

I practiced for years to get to this spot. I built up my connections and relationships brick by brick, with constant analysis to become who they liked, or at the very least, could tolerate. So that I could be universally loved.

That’s why it’s unfair. It’s unfair. Your grand entrance captured the most princely beings. The important male leads. It’s unfair that my hard work was overshadowed just because of your uncertain origins and connections built on circumstance instead of hard work. I could do the same thing if I was in your place.

A/N: ITS MY GIRL KALMIAAAAA!!! I didn’t write her backstory here bc that’s her fear and main trauma and I don’t want to expose her TOO soon.

With. like. 3 ocs w white-ish hair. ppl may think i’m obsessed w it. I can explain (i can’t).

I sorted her into Pomefiore because. like. i think that fit her aesthetic, first off, but she’s also she fits in with their self-betterment thing. Kalmia, however, abandons all self-preservation to attain what she believes is better for her. She maintains her weight through unhealthy dieting, and I KNOW that all that hair dye is NOT going to be good for her head later on (this is fiction though so let’s pretend for now). She’s aware that it’s bad for her, but she’s also the type to focus on the present.

She doesn’t really have anything to look forward to. She just wants to be saved with love.

Childishly, she wants a prince charming she can marry and live happily ever after with, but that’s as far as her future thoughts go. After all, what truly matters is how she’s treated in the present.

Fun fact! Vil hates (?) her btw. He sees Kalmia's efforts and acknowledges it, but he's disappointed that's it's misdirected and short-term. Kalmia abandons self-preservation for self-betterment. Vil wants her to do both. He thinks she's wasted potential. It's not like he's going to give up on changing her mind, of course. As long as Kalmia's in his dorm, he'll make her realize a couple things about herself.

Mocha Yumika’s Dorm Uniform ^^

Finally gave her ass a last name lmaoooo

At first she didn’t have one bc I intended there to be some kinda amnesia plot where upon entering twisted wonderland she had very little memories but ended up regaining some after adjusting to living there and all that. Originally, the idea I had was to have her chose the name Mocha bc one of the few memories she has is the fact that she likes mocha lattes (the drink that her chara is actually based on ^^)!! I still wanna keep that plot point bc I think it’s cute but I also want there to be like some personal connection to her old world right off the bat so she got a last name now yippee !!

To make her last name I pretty much wanted to focus on her first name phonetics. In other words, bc Mocha starts with an “M” sound and ends with an “ka”/“kuh” sound, I wanted to incorporate something similar in the last name bc it would be a hell of a lot easier for me to remember. However, since she takes the role of Yuu in my cafe au, I also thought it would be cute to uphold that one tradition of “Yuusona has Yuu in their name somewhere” so I kinda just. smushed those ideas together and hoped for the best.

And as a result, Yumika was the name I ended up with !! :D

They seemed quite out of it. Lost for words and confused. I think they even got caught on fire. I couldn’t help but laugh a little. I think I even heard house warden Vil critique them!

Ah— Sorry if that was a lot. You take a long while to apply your makeup anyways, right? It’s just that I don’t really have anyone here to talk to about this, and I’m quite bad at small talk, so…

TRIVIA:

Atlan is twisted off of Anastasia from Cinderella!

Despite this, he isn’t Trein’s son. He’s his nephew. I figured it would be a little funnier this way.

Atlan isn’t exactly liked at NRC. To say the least, his entire personality is that he talks about other people. That’s it. Not in a praising way either— He’ll talk about whatever things he’s heard around. Hence, his ear for gossip.

His tie to Yuu would most likely stem from Yuu hearing that someone had been talking about them in a gossipy way, and therefore finding out who it was (because Yuu protection squad is a very real and scary thing). Either that or tracking him down because they think he might have information.

Atlan’s reasoning behind all his talk being rumors and topics about other people is because he’s not very good at socializing himself. He grew up a little sheltered with a bratty older sister who he’d always fight with. Lots of screaming and the such. Both of the siblings ended up being a little spoiled, and with some unbearable personalities, resulting in people not really wanting to become their friends.

The rest of his family didn’t seem to mind the fact that they weren’t as liked as others, but Atlan always sort of wanted to find out a way to reach out. To have friends and see what the normal person’s life would be. However, due to the lack of support, every time he attempted to reach for his goal, it would end up in failure. Nobody to correct his behavior, and nobody who would try to help him understand himself.

His mother, noticing this behavior of his, decided that the best course of action would to be to send him off by himself to a school filled to the brim with other people his age, who he could learn to interact with— Night Raven College.

But you would guess, something like that doesn’t go well for a boy who depended on his mother and her money for comfort.

Like a fish on land, Atlan tries his best to be open and talk to people, but upon becoming independent, he realizes that he doesn’t really have much going for him. And as people got to know him, he felt as if they were right— He’s nothing but a person who trash talks people and brags about his money.

He cracks under pressure easily when the atmosphere is awkward, and has no idea how to go about small talk. Atlan isn’t the best person to tell your secrets to, as he’ll probably end up using it as a conversation starter.

Atlan has an oresama air to him, but he really just wants to be part of the crowd rather than someone alienated for something he doesn’t know how to navigate. Maybe one day he’ll find the right crowd to surround himself with. A helping hand to guide him. But for now, he’s stuck, enrolled in NRC under his mother’s word.
