Unique Magic: "What Once was Mine" Through the use of magical herbs and alchemy, Ezra is able to capture the likeness of himself and other individuals. He can share and change other's physical features with these concoctions, ranging anywhere from shoe size to facial structure to vocal coords. These changes last as long as he desires as well as under his own set conditions at the cost of requiring outside materials to complete. Typically the magic is contained in what appears to be a type of spice or powder, and the change leaves a mark/tattoo on the individual which the magic is cast to indicate what exactly was changed.

Summary: As the most easygoing teacher on the entirety of campus, many of the students and fellow staff members view him as a scatter-brained daydreamer. However, his dreams filled with immense passion, as he desires for nothing more than to watch his student's talent blossom... and keep the bloom contained and protected in a glass case.
Now, don't get him wrong! He has the best intentions, of course. There are many, many scary people and places out there in this Twisted Wonderland. People who would take advantage of such bright minds. He is simply preventing that from happening. The man has been around for a long time and has been through his own share of ordeals, so he would most definitely know.
He has a big heart. While he goes about an odd, constrictive way of showing it, he does truly care. He has a hard time letting things go, and he simply wants the best for those he cares for. Ezra would spoil every single one of his students rotten if he were able. Even as a rather new professor at NRC, he wishes to guide every single one of them on the right path.

Author's Notes: ARGHHH MY BOY... Ezra is a very new character I made only a few months ago. He was created specifically for TCOAV, but alas I have grown attached. Given we already have quite a few gaslight gatekeep girlboss type characters over here, I decided to focus more on twisting different aspects of Mother Gothel. I particularly focused on her parental tendencies as well as her means of "caring" for Rapunzel. Whereas whether Gothel truly cares for Rapunzel or not is still up in the air, and they truly had a toxic relationship nonetheless, I wanted to make Ezra a more misguided but good individual.

Riddle Rosehearts: She knows of him through Trey, but has never met him, Riddle unaware of her existence. She is curious about him though, and would like to meet him one day.
Che'nya: Her and Che'nya are acquaintances, having met through Trey. He makes it a point to see her whenever he comes home during break, curious to know how she’s been. Their relationship is lighthearted, with a nice friendship starting to form.

Summary:
[A lingering ghost who lost her identity and possessed a random boy in the world of Twisted Wonderland. She doesn’t know she’s a ghost and only recognizes herself as an amnesiac. Now appointed as the prefect of Ramshackle along with another girl named Ryoko, she spends her days trying her best to decipher her preferences and balance the act of regaining her past with shaping her new identity.]

Twisted from: John Silver from Treasure Planet.
Unique Magic: "Rattle the Stars" Summons exactly that in the palm of Joel's robotic hand: a star. However, this is not just any star, this star's life flashes before your eyes, resulting in a controlled supernova. It creates a burning hot flash bang, with tremors forming cracks in the ground depending on the magnitude of the star itself. The explosion knocks enemies away from Joel. The size of the star dictates how much magic they will use, as well as how much blot he will accumulate. He is unsure what the maximum size of a star he can create is, but he does know that he has gotten dangerously close to overblotting while trying. In his current state, the blast is not deadly and primarily works to stun opponents or, at most, render them unconscious.
Grade: Teaches Freshman, Sophomores, and Juniors
Class: Teaches Culinary Crucible, Astrology, and Tech. Occasionally aids with Physical Education.

Summary: "Why does he even teach?" is a question that crosses the mind of almost every NRC student in one of Joel's classes. He's shameless, sarcastic, and finds entertainment in messing with students and staff alike. Teaching is only a side job for him, his real passions lie elsewhere. Nonetheless, he is highly skilled in a variety of subjects, making him indispensable.
He abuses that privilege, of course, taking the time to have as much fun as he can in what he calls a boring dump of a school and make sure everyone around him suffers for it. Though this usually just amounts to light teasing and pranks. They do not behave like an educator or mentor. He does not typically enjoy interacting with most of his students in a serious manner, and the ones they do enjoy talking with are treated more like casual, distant friends.
With the responsibility of teaching so many subjects heavy on their shoulders, he does make plenty of time to shrug it off to work on his true dream: getting as rich as possible. Now, now, there are plenty of figures at NRC who want that, yeah? But Joel wants the lottery. He wants to struggle, look high and low, and come out above everyone with something ancient, shiny, and, hopefully, covered in expensive jewels. Over everything and everyone, they enjoy the hunt of it. To the point where he values it above people and relationships. Hell, they'd fly to the moon to get it if they had to.

Author's Notes: JOEL. Ahhh Joel. I'll admit, this was harder to write compared to the others! Everyone else's development, personality, struggles, etc. came very naturally to me, while, with joel, I really had to sit and brainstorm for awhile. Though, I can now say that he has grown on me a lot, and I plan on giving him more of a role in TCOAV like Ezra! I have lots of plans for him! Old ass man <33 (affectionate, /j) this will probably be the last new TCOAV oc for a while! But just know, there will be more >:)

❥❥❥ Character Info:
An introvert who enjoys rhythm games, Yuliya ended up in Twisted Wonderland by accident. She was feeding the stray cats near her school (as she usually does) when a cat she had never seen before ran by. Curious, she chased after it, causing her to fall into a hole and end up in Twisted Wonderland. (Like in Alice in Wonderland)
Yuliya does not replace in game Yuu, who I have made a separate OC for. (Their name is Yuurio, and they go by they/them or he/him pronouns) But she does show up in Twisted Wonderland before the events of the prologue (so before Yuurio arrives, and before Grim and the first years come to Night Raven)
Since she is magicless, she primarily helps Sam in his shop (or works at the Mostro Lounge) while attending the few classes she's able to take. She doesn't really excel at any subject (since she doesn't like to stand out or draw attention to herself), and is just trying her best to get by.
Personality wise, she is an introvert, and suffers from anxiety. She is a very cautious person, and has to think things over or plan things out before she does anything, as it helps ease her mind. Once she's comfortable around someone, she becomes more open and bubbly around them, no longer overthinking her interactions with them.

❥❥❥ Relationships/Dynamics:
Yuurio: She knew of Yuurio before they came to Twisted Wonderland, having seen them feed the stray cats she normally would on occasion. Though she did not know their name, she knew of their reputation (For context, Yuurio is a delinquent), and would keep her distance from them. Yuurio was almost expelled near the beginning of their freshman year, being accused of vandalism they didn't do. Yuliya, knowing they couldn't have done it, mustered the strength to intervene, stepping in and vouching for them. Shortly after this happened, Yuliya ended up in Twisted Wonderland, and wouldn't interact with Yuurio again until they showed up during the main story's prologue.
She has a close relationship with Yuurio, doing her best to keep them out of trouble. She is essentially their voice of reason, stopping them from rushing in headfirst (when she can), and having them think things through. She worries about them, and always patches them up after they get into a fight (while gently scolding them).
On Yuurio's end: They greatly admire Yuliya, not having forgotten what she did for them before ending up in Twisted Wonderland. It was the first time someone had believed in them, and they refuse to take the trust she has for them for granted. They do their best to look out for her, much like how she does for them. They have a tendency to pick her up and run when there's danger, and it's a fight they know they can't win. They enjoy teasing her (affectionately) and jokingly flirting with her, enjoying how it riles certain characters up when they do.
Kalim Al-Asim: One of the very first among those she met when ending up in Twisted Wonderland, she and Kalim are good friends. When Crowley wasn't sure what to do with her (as he didn't consider Ramshackle until Yuurio showed up), Kalim offered for her to stay at Scarabia, making her an honorary member of the dorm. She appreciated his kindness, opening up to him with each interaction they had. Through their interactions, he learned it was best to inform her of parties in advance, and would make it a point to let her know as soon as possible (though sometimes he would forget, which he would apologize for).
She developed a crush on him as they got to know each other, but it quickly faded as she realized the love she had for him was platonic, not romantic. She makes it a point to attend the Pop Music club concerts, wanting to support him. She usually stays towards the back of the crowd though, and doesn't approach him afterwards until everyone has left.
On Kalim's end: He considers her to be a good friend, and he appreciates how she takes the time to help him as he tries to become more independent after Book 4.
Jamil Viper: She could tell that Jamil wasn't fond of her, making sure to keep her distance. They got to know each other better through Kalim, almost becoming friends before Book 4 happened. After Book 4, their relationship is strained, with Jamil being distant and simply watching her from afar. She is under the impression that he dislikes her, keeping her distance as she silently wondered what she did wrong. Their relationship gets better with time (and Kalim and Yuurio's help lol)
On Jamil's end: From the moment Kalim offered for her to stay at Scarabia he wasn't fond of her, already considering how it might effect any future plans he had. As he slowly got to know her though, he found that he enjoyed her company, talking about music and dancing (usually from the rhythm games she plays). With her willingness to help him with his duties (when he insists she didn't need to) and her genuine care for his interests, he realized he was starting to develop feelings for her, immediately pushing them down. Before Book 4 begins, he has her transferred to Octavinelle, not wanting her to interfere with his plan. This ends up backfiring for him, as Yuurio (plus the octotrio and Yuliya) put a stop to it.
After his overblot, he decides to keep his distance, not wanting the feelings he was starting to develop for her to grow. He is under the impression that she is in love with Kalim, and tries to deny the jealousy he feels whenever he sees them together. His feelings for her fade eventually (or so he says...)
Azul Ashengrotto: She has a love-hate relationship with Azul, steering clear of Octavinelle entirely at first. She didn't trust him (or anyone in Octavinelle really), and it didn't help that he kept trying to persuade her into going to the Mostro Lounge the few times they interacted. Being in the same club as him did help her perspective a little bit, and she did end up going to the lounge eventually (Floyd dragged her there...) But the moment she heard contract she was on high alert all over again, refusing him if he even hinted at it.
He didn't help his case when he started telling her to transfer to Octavinelle, having noticed she's more intelligent and perceptive than she shows. Jade and Floyd would also "encourage" her to transfer, even though she would refuse every time they brought it up. Their relationship got better after Book 3, with Yuliya even agreeing to work in the lounge on occasion, willing to give him a chance. When she transfers to Octavinelle before Book 4 begins, she fully believes it was his doing, causing their relationship to worsen as she loses all trust in him. He regains her trust by the end of Book 4, with their relationship being better than it had been before. Though she may deny it, she does enjoy Azul's company, and thinks that being apart of Octavinelle isn't so bad.
On Azul's end: While she may not be fond of him, he is fond of her, doing his best to get her attention. He was surprised (and ecstatic) when she finally transferred, though he was suspicious at her sudden change of heart. He realized what was going on when she began accusing him of filling out the transfer paperwork and forging her signature, losing all the progress he made with her. He was happy he was able to regain her trust by the end of Book 4, and that their relationship turned out better from it. He hopes he can convince her to drop her job at Sam's shop, and get her to work at the lounge exclusively.
Jade Leech: While she didn't trust anyone from Octavinelle, she especially didn't trust Jade, running from him whenever she would see him. He found it amusing how scared she was of him, making it a point to surprise her whenever he could. Walking up behind her and putting a hand on her shoulder, watching her jump. Turning the corner and seeing her down the hall, waving with a smile on his face as she bolts in the other direction. He was curious to see what kinds of reactions he could get out of her, finding them quite cute. She becomes less afraid of him as she gets to know him, reacting less over time. He thought that once her reactions stopped he would become bored with her, but he keeps finding new ways to get a reaction, even if it's not out of fear. When she transfers to Octavinelle and starts working at the lounge, she always seem to work the same shift as him.
Floyd Leech: While she was hesitant around him at first, she was never as scared of him as she was with Jade, even knowing of his mood swings and violent tendencies. She gets along well with him, though they never really seek the other out (unless he's asked). He trades his shifts with Jade whenever he's scheduled to work with her at the lounge (as Jade asked him to). She is unaware of this.
Vil Schoenheit: At first she avoided him (and Pomefiore) due to misjudging his character, and apologizes to him after realizing her mistake. She isn't close with him, but they do get along.
Rook Hunt: She has a habit of looking around, feeling like someone was watching her. It was usually Rook, curious about her and observing her from afar. He was the one who helped clear up her misconception about Vil, noticing how she would avoid him (and Pomefiore as a whole) She gets along well with him, and they have a friendly relationship. She will stop by the science club on occasion, curious to know what he's doing.
Leona Kingscholar: While their relationship was rocky at first, she does get along with him, and they have a mutual respect for each other. He was surprised when she stood her ground with him, knowing of her personality. While others tend to be overprotective of her, Leona believes that she can take care of herself, and has developed a bit of a soft spot for her (that he'll never admit to). He prefers her over Yuurio.
Jack Howl: She and Jack have a good relationship, getting to know each other during Books 2 and 3. She is friendly with him, but they don't really seek each other out. She mainly sees him when he's with Yuurio and the other first years.
Idia Shroud: She technically first met Idia through a game they both play, each of them unaware of the other's IRL identity. She "officially" met him through the Board Game club, getting to know him with each club meeting. Azul would subtly help their relationship grow, bringing up things that Idia had mentioned that he knew she liked as well. Due to their mutual interests and her curiosity towards his engineering (along with Ortho's encouragement), they slowly grew to be close friends, and even developed feelings for each other. She doesn't tell him her feelings though (and neither does he), but it's obvious to those around them that they like each other. (If they were to become a couple, it would happen before the start of Book 7)
Ortho Shroud: She and Ortho have a good relationship, and get along well together. He enjoys how happy she makes his big brother, and does his best to encourage their relationship however he can.

She can cook/bake (Yuurio cannot)
She knows of Malleus, but doesn't officially meet him until the end of Book 5 (when he fixes the stage/auditorium after Vil's overblot)
She tried to transfer to Ramshackle after being transferred to Octavinelle (before Book 4 began), but Crowley told her that she wouldn't be able to transfer dorms again until next year, due to how long and tedious the transfer process is
She refused to go to Heartslabyul until she had read and memorized all the rules, worried about what would happen if she broke one

Yuliya and Yuurio are a duo, and while they may appear in each book, only one of them is consider the "main Yuu" or "main character" (depending on the book)
For example, Yuliya does appear in the prologue and Book 1, but Yuurio is the one that actually experiences the story (if that makes sense!)

Yuusha Tala is the witty and sarcastic prefect of Ramshackle who tends to be open and blunt with people depending on the situation (this bluntness sometimes lands her in trouble). Sometimes her confident facade fails her because, for the most part, the way she presents herself is an attempt to exaggerate herself in order to make herself seem more outgoing. In any case, the prefect still doesn’t fail to be also headstrong and stubborn, refusing to let others step all over her.

Like I said, this is also set in an AU where NRC is more like a university so that everyone is at least 18. So like:
First-years -> 18 Second-years -> 19 Third-years -> 20 Fourth-years -> 21 Leona -> 22 (to be slightly compliant with the fact that he repeated a year)
This ask lives in my head rent-free whenever I think about Yuusha's backstory and personality, so at this point, I just have her twisted from Frozen characters (mainly Elsa) when I hadn't initially intended for her to be so.

💜 For the DND nerds: Yuusha has a high charisma stat who manages to roll consistently low and nat 1s. (For everyone else: Yuusha is a girlfailure whose social interactions fail her despite her confident attempts.)
💜 Can be very affectionate with people whenever she starts to vibe with them. And she tends to unashamedly throw around “I love you” a lot to those she genuinely cares a lot about to the point where it sounds disingenuous even though she does mean it earnestly.
💜 Caffeine addict™ and refuses to sleep unless necessary due to her nature as a workaholic. Yuusha knows that she becomes a very heavy sleeper and that she can be hard to wake up.
💜 Yuusha has an affinity for playing instruments. While she has her specialties in certain instruments, generally she can work pretty much any instrument she can get her hands on ( anddespite whether or not it can be considered a “normal” instrument).
💜 Her memory is abysmal when it comes to small things so she makes little notes in different ways to remind herself of things. But for some reason when it comes to sketching, suddenly her memory is picture-perfect.
💜 Started to work part-time in Mostro Lounge after Azul's overblot, admittedly a desperate choice to earn some income.
💜 After the Scarabia episode, Yuu often gets her extra food from Scarabia as long as she helps to cook (and is totally not an excuse to hang out with the Scarabia duo).
💜 Yuusha gets anxious and restless during dark mirror ceremonies. They remind her of orientation which was really not the best memory for her. She often has to go outside to catch a breath.
💜 She generally remembers bits and pieces of her past life when certain things cause her to remember them. She still feels extremely homesick despite the hazy memories. The one thing she cannot remember is the very moment she got taken by the black carriage, and has some fear of heights and being in deep water in relation to it.

Night Raven College’s sole magicless student and the prefect of Ramshackle Dorm. They live on campus with their only dorm member, Grim, a direbeast who wants to become a "Great Mage”. They are both enrolled as a package deal and are considered a single student.

Yuuna Perla is the flamboyant prefect who wears their heart on their sleeve and is sickeningly kind to anyone she meets (although exceptions do exist). They are generally unfazed by everything and is able to keep their head on their shoulder when necessary, avoiding conflict if they can. But that doesn’t mean that they can’t also revel in some kind of chaos if ever it arises.

Yuuna is my first Yuu OC!
I made Yuuna into kind of a "blank slate" so I can be more flexible with them when it comes to just random stuff.
Overall they are somewhat my more canon-compliant Yuu (but I still add a lot of aspects that are way more biased to relationships with Heartslabyul).
Yuuna is also inspired by various Alice in Wonderland characters because I like the idea that the prefect is just "Alice" in a Twisted Wonderland.

🩷 Usually soft-spoken and doesn't talk much, at least when it comes to people they’re not particularly close with. But the things they say can pack a punch whenever they decide to be blunt to others or simply whenever they tease those who they consider their friends.
🩷 Yuuna, despite their own feelings towards another person, always chooses to be amicable. It’s no wonder why they seemingly managed to have some kind of a good rapport with most people due to their kind nature.
🩷 Yuuna shares Grim's appetite, the Ramshackle duo are similar to one another in a lot of ways. On top of that, Yuuna is just very protective of him because he is basically like family to Yuuna. They would defend Grim from others no matter what.
🩷 They consider Heartslabyul their second home in NRC. They love everyone the most there. Yuuna is essentially an honorary member of the dorm anyway since they always visit. They are always invited to their dorm events such as their Unbirthday parties.
🩷 Yuuna has respect for Leona as an older brother -figure. After the Octavinelle incident, Yuu was more comfortable frequently crashing Leona’s room with Grim often to just “chill and hang out” (with help from Ruggie through bribery until eventually it just became normal when Leona began to mildly tolerate them).
🩷 Generally the mediator and prefers to avoid conflict. However, they are not against picking a fight when necessary, especially when it comes to their friends. Every now and then as well (if the consequences aren’t too big to handle or if they could get away with it), Yuuna indulges in a little bit of chaos and tomfoolery.
🩷 Yuuna only grew to like taking photos after being given the Ghost Camera. They now have the habit of taking photos of everyone and everything.
🩷 Yuuna has a preference for gender-neutral terms but generally doesn’t care if they are referred to as anything else. They also like to express themself as more feminine regardless of their identity.
🩷 Has no memories of where they come from but this does not bother them at all in the slightest and they don’t know why. Yuuna is more bothered by the fact that it doesn’t bother them.

Anyways, here he is!! (He still doesn't have a name yet...)
He's an anglerfish, and a first year Octavinelle student! He works as a server at the Mostro Lounge, and is popular amongst customers for his friendly demeanor and good service.
He is an extrovert, and loves interacting with others! He has a habit of saying anything that pops into his head, which can lead to confusion, since most of the time people don't know what he's talking about lol ♡
He loves stickers, and usually has some on his face. He also collects them, and keeps them in binders in his dorm room. He would love to tell you all about them! (Please someone, ask him about stickers... He'd be so happy!) Azul has to stop him from accepting stickers as payment from customers (much to his disappointment)
As a sign of friendship, he will give you a sticker that he thinks best represents you (or reminds him of you!) So if he gives you a sticker, congrats, you're friends now!! ♡
He considers himself to be "stylish", and enjoys clothes that are more flashy or has a lot of patterns. He doesn't like to wear hats, and does his best to avoid wearing the one that came with his dorm uniform.

1. Basics
Allen is a Ramshackle freshman who comes from another world (¾ Italian, ¼ Japanese) and "has no magic".
He's an aspiring illustrator and musician who doesn't seem to have success no matter how hard he tries. Whenever he attempted to gain attention on the internet before, all he ever received was ignorance and hate. Nowadays, he's too scared to try again.
2. Allen's backstory
Allen is an intersex boy and was born with lower testosterone levels as well as a mostly "female" outward anatomy.
Having suffered from a genetic anxiety disorder since his childhood, Allen was never really able to enjoy things. Once he got into school, he was mostly used for his good grades and ignored otherwise.
However, things got much worse when puberty started: Allen's body was feminine and muscular at the same time, and he towered over his classmates. His resting bitch face didn't help with people finding him intimidating and scary... and soon, he was not only ignored, but actively avoided and made fun of. He got pushed around, insulted, and told that "a freak like him" could never be loved. Nobody invited him to hang out, people pretended to have crushes on him in order to fool him, and all the "friends" he ever had badmouthed him behind his back.
Allen couldn't tell anyone about how hurt he was — boys weren't supposed to cry and act all whiny, and he would prove that he was indeed a boy by being all tough.
Trying to escape from the bullying at school, Allen put all of his feelings into art instead — a thing he was told he was "gifted" at — and started sharing it on social media. However, as he watched other artists blow up and build entire fanbases, absolutely nothing happened to him; he was either ignored or insulted for his art, seemingly never being good enough to earn compliments. Combined with the fact that Allen compared himself with other artists a lot, he slowly started losing confidence in the one thing he enjoyed and thought he was skilled at.
That wasn't the only thing Allen "wasn't good enough" for. As he got older, the topics at school progressively got harder, and the model student started struggling with them a little. His grades dropped from As to As and Bs, and that was somehow already enough for his teachers to blame him. "What's wrong?", "I expected better from you" and "stop slacking" were just some of the things Allen had to hear from them. He began studying even more in an attempt to satisfy them and prove his worth to himself, but nothing seemed to work out, and instead, it all led to Allen having a burnout.
At this point, Allen started believing that he was possessed. How could one single person have so much bad luck and be hated this much solely for trying to live his life...?
...and why was he even trying when he was never good enough for anyone anyway?
It was then that Allen decided to give up on everything. His grades never satisfied his teachers no matter how well he did, so why should he work for them at all? His gentle personality was never appreciated, so why should he be kind? Fights hurt him, so why shouldn't he fight back?
Allen slowly became a delinquent. He started skipping class almost every day, finally dared to cuss, and got into lots of verbal fights with the people who formerly bullied him. Those who already feared Allen before were now absolutely terrified of him, and soon, rumors about an actual possession started spreading.
The headmaster couldn't stand watching the process of one of her most valuable honor students turning into a delinquent and eventually kicked Allen out of school for his shenanigans.
Allen knew he wouldn't attend a school ever again due to what it had done to his health, but at the same time, he was in desperate need of that graduation if he ever wanted to have a proper job. He tried to blackmail the headmaster into giving him his graduation by threatening to expose the school for how they covered bullying and even allowed teachers to be bullies, but ultimately, Allen got nothing out of it.
He had nothing but his parents now. He had no friends, no confidence, no future. He was likely possessed, doomed by the universe.
Allen lost the sparkle in his eye; he wanted nothing more than to disappear. But the thought of his parents' grief forced him to stay alive. Every day was torture and reminded Allen of how much of a failure he was, and he progressively grew angrier...
...until he started imagining himself in music videos every time he listened to songs.
That was when Allen had an idea. He couldn't be violent, so why not channel all of his hatred and wrath into lyrics and make his own music? This time, he wouldn't post anything online in a long time, instead taking things slow.
Things slowly got a little better — Allen was able to start a hormone therapy, dyed his hair, changed his overall appearance, disassociated himself from his old self, and learned to control his anger through writing and other methods he figured out for himself. However, the emptiness, anxiety and hopelessness remained, and Allen was stuck with depression.
Just the day when Allen wanted to finally buy a software to produce music with, he woke up in a coffin in a strange world...
3. Allen's personality
Allen is widely known to be friendly, lowkey, mature, calm and helpful. People admire him for his good looks and determination, and some even consider him to be perfect due to the fact that he is additionally "good at everything". He also avoids fights and more heated discussions and instead serves as a mediator most of the time, earning him a fair amount of respect at NRC.
The truth: this is a mask.
Allen is an extremely flawed person but skilled at hiding it. He doesn't do anything he's bad at in public, only voices reasonable opinions, uses white lies in order to not accidentally hurt people, and hides all of his mental struggles as much as possible.
Not only does the real Allen envy everyone who is in some way more successful or "better" at something than him, but he has also developed a superiority complex to cope with his insecurities. He even feels this way towards some of his friends, yet doesn't dare to speak up on it out of fear of ending up all alone again.
The real Allen writes aggressive songs, has violent thoughts, and hates himself with a burning passion. His trauma and insecurities always get the better of him, and Allen still believes that he's ugly, worthless and not deserving of love despite being one of the most popular people at NRC.
The real Allen also doesn't care about the problems of people and gets impatient extremely quickly (Deuce is an exception — Allen cares about him a lot and is patient with him). His true motivation for helping with bigger issues around the school is to draw attention to himself and finally receive praise.
Allen's biggest fear is to be lonely, abandoned and ignored, which is why he does his best to hide all of his flaws and true opinions on people — he doesn't want to risk being disliked now that he's finally appreciated somewhere.
The only person who knows the real Allen (and who he is 100% honest to) is Deuce, who doesn't judge him at all and instead understands him.

Ever since day one, they've been best friends who always know what the other is thinking/feeling and do almost everything together.
Having the same experiences in a mirrored way, Allen and Deuce are able to understand each other better than anyone else could and naturally help each other because of it. Allen is able to assist Deuce with studying while making sure that he doesn't overwork himself and provides him with healthy outlets for his delinquent tendencies, which helps Deuce mature and grow calmer. Instead of trying to change Deuce, Allen helps him see the good in his flaws and use them to Deuce's advantage while fully supporting his goals and making sure that Deuce doesn't lose himself. Deuce, on the other hand, simply loves and admires Allen the way he is, which helps Allen slowly accept himself more. Being around someone who's so similar to himself and genuinely supports, understands and adores him also manages to fill the void in Allen's heart at least a bit.
Due to Allen's tough vibes, determined personality, intelligence and pretty appearance, Deuce fell for him extremely quickly (it was basically love at first sight for him). Allen fell for Deuce during book 4 when he realized just how much he missed the boy. After hesitating with a confession for a long time due to how it could possibly affect their friendship, Allen and Deuce eventually start dating some time after book 7.

6. Allen & blot
Allen feels his body get weaker and is somewhat out of touch with it in Twisted Wonderland. At first, he isn't aware of what the reason might be, but things resolve themselves... in the worst way possible.
During every breakdown occuring after these symptoms, a part of Allen's body changes. At first, he merely cries black tears, but then his hair turns another color, followed by another body part every time... until Allen is fully convinced that his demon is slowly taking over.
These occurrences are, in fact, mini overblots building up to Allen's first proper overblot, in which he assumes the form of a demon prince with fire-based magic and massive claws.
Due to his overall physical and mental weakness as well as the fact that he's not from Twisted Wonderland, blot affects Allen extremely easily and in a different way than with mages.
But why can he accumulate blot if he's not a mage himself? Well...
7. Allen's previous life
Unbeknownst to everyone, Allen is the reincarnation of Asterope, an infamous mage from Twisted Wonderland.
Asterope was an exceptional mage said to have been blessed who had weather-based powers but couldn't fully control them due to his impulsive personality. As a result, he accidentally slaughtered a village through a tornado in a fit of rage caused by being excluded and bullied, and became a wanted criminal as a result. He ran away, assumed the identity of "Alan" and joined the Silver Owls, only to be caught when he found out about his sole friend's death and accidentally caused another tornado. Asterope then got executed, and to this day, he's known as nothing but a villain.
Nobody is aware that Allen is Asterope's reincarnation and supposed to fix his legacy until Allen dies after being stabbed during a friend's overblot. A storm is raging outside the school during the entirety of Allen being in a critical state and eventually dying. While his body is already dead, Allen's mind intensely relives the moments from both his current life and the one he had as Asterope. Ironically, his strong blot accumulation and Asterope's desire for wanting his legacy to be fixed through his "successor" eventually bring Allen back to life, leaving him with mere permanent tattoos... and the ability to use magic.
Shortly before Allen awakens, Asterope speaks through him, talking about his legacy. Later on, Allen and his friends do their best to figure out what exactly happened.
8. Allen's magic
Allen has fairly little control over his everyday magic due to both his mood swings and the fact that he's entirely new to this kind of thing. However, he is eager to learn and improve so he can hopefully reach an average skill level.
On the other hand, Allen's Unique Magic is incredibly powerful and can only be countered by the strongest of mages when they're concentrated. "The Calm Before the Storm" traps a being in a tornado that drains them of all their physical and mental energy, often causing the person in question to pass out. It can be used on living creatures from all worlds.
Fun fact: Allen discovers his Unique Magic before he can use normal magic at all.

Larissa Leurre was an anglerfish mermaid with a talent for singing and song writing. Using the alias Starglow, she had a bright future ahead of her, and quickly rose in popularity. Her voice and original songs brought her fame and recognition in the Coral Sea, leading to her attending her first big event. She was starstruck, seeing and meeting so many celebrities. There was one in particular that stuck with her most of the night, a big celebrity that everyone knew. He was known for being a loving husband and father, always putting his family first. Adored and well respected, she looked up to him, admiring the dedication he had for his work. She thought nothing of joining him in his room when he asked, following beside him as they talked. He was charming and kind, well known and beloved. She was drawn to him, trusting him as they kissed. Even if she was hesitant at first, he was so sure, so confident. It made any doubt she had leave her mind, spending the rest of the evening in his bed. The regret came later, realizing what she had done as guilt consumed her. They didn't speak after that, continuing on with their lives. Soon Larissa found that she couldn't pretend anymore, holding proof of what they had done in her arms. When she went to inform him of the eggs she had, his reaction was immediate. No longer was he the kind and well respected man everyone knew him for. Now he was angry, demanding that she get rid of them and threatening to ruin her career. A scandal like this would ruin his image, his reputation on the line. He couldn't allow that to happen, and he had enough influence to ensure that it won't happen, willing to drag her down if it meant saving himself. The answer seemed obvious to her friends and loved ones, having her future in mind. This was her dream, and her career was just taking off. They didn't want her to throw away all that she worked for, making their opinions known. Even her best friend, a moray eel mermaid who just had eggs of her own, wanted her to consider her future before making a decision. She was hurt by their reactions, unwilling to get rid of her children. The mistakes she made were her own, and she didn't care who the father was. They were her children, her eggs. So she left, leaving her career, family, and friends behind. Only one of her eggs end up hatching, a baby boy she names Luca. He was everything to her, the light in her life. He made everything that she went through worth it, loving him from the moment she saw him. She homeschooled him, worried about being recognized. Her loved ones already blamed him for ruining her future, she refused to let the world do it too. She would teach him during the day and worked as a waitress at night, doing the best she could on her own. She would continue to sing, but now for an audience of one, performing for Luca whenever he asked. He would sing along with her, the performance ending up a duet as they laughed and sang together. Once Luca got to middle school age, she decided to let him attend public school, knowing she couldn't hide him forever. Luca refused though, noticing how her health was starting to decline. He would take care of her as best as he could, his middle school years passing by. Soon he got accepted into Night Raven College, and was unsure what to do. His mother encouraged him to go, but he chose to skip the school year instead, wanting to stay with her. When the next school year came, she convinced him to go, assuring him that she would be alright while he was away. Deep down she knew this was a lie though, knowing her condition was only getting worse. She didn't want him to watch her waste away during her final days, and got in touch with an old friend, asking her to visit.
It was a bittersweet reunion, the two friends catching up over the years they missed before finally addressing Larissa's condition. She took her friend's hand, asking if she would watch over her son once she was gone, her tears hidden by sea water. The moray eel agreed, squeezing her hand as she sat with her during her final moments. She passes away during his first month at Night Raven, leaving behind a box of belongings she wanted him to have. The first item in the box was a journal, decorated with different shells she found. The journal was old and well loved, starting with different songs she had written before changing to baby names, turning into a diary documenting her life raising Luca. The second item was a necklace she always wore, made out of Luca's baby teeth. The third was a CD, containing the final song that she wrote/sang that was never released. (The song) Luca hasn't sang since her funeral, waiting for a duet that will never come.

"Dividing the planes of reality, I claim one for my own." Spirit Realm Split: Cynthia's unique magic that can place objects in a separate plane that only she can access. It doesn't work like a game inventory system. Instead, the objects float around in her vicinity, invisible and untouchable to others. Number of objects that can be switched to the plane varies with size (10 small objects at most), and it can only stay there for 24 hours, with a cooldown of 1 hour. The bigger and longer the object stays, the more blot accumulates. It's unknown if this power can used on a person, but Cynthia's not against trying if she finds viable candidates.

Backstory:
Cynthia grew up in the Shaftlands with only her mother. Neighbors to a decently wealthy family, Cynthia frequently spent time at their household while her mother went out to work. The neighbors, the Ordelia family, had two daughters. A girl named Adeline (who Cynthia calls Adelia), the younger of the two, was about to become Cynthia’s lifelong friend.
To help her mother and also be able to follow her dreams of entering the law field, Cynthia received Adelia’s help with her studies to try to get into the two most prestigious schools on Sage Island. Through Adelia’s crazily strict yet admittedly useful studying regime, she was able to proudly show off the two acceptance letters, a sign that she had truly worked as hard as she could.
Cynthia spent days mulling over which school she would enter. She even did a mandatory coin toss just in case she still hadn’t decided by the due date. Adelia wouldn’t say a single word on where she would go, but since Cynthia knew of Adelia’s competence, she believed Adelia would be able follow Cynthia, no matter which school she would choose.
Oh, so how tragic the betrayal is~! How traitorous for Adelia to abandon Cynthia and enter her school’s ultimate rival. The pain, the misery—
“Cynthia, stop being dramatic. Just because I could follow you never meant I would have. And didn’t you say being rivals was, quote, ‘actually pretty fun’ last week?”
A silky voice with an certain sharpness arrives from her phone. Cynthia laughs at the vivid annoyance she can imagine on her best friend’s face.
“Alright, fine! Sometimes it’s fun to complain for the sake of it, you know.”
“You’re not doing it for the sake of it, you’re doing it to annoy me—“
“Well, keep me updated on any NRC drama! Such as the one with your Dormleader… which is frankly cu-ray-zee!! A Spelldrive Tournament between our schools is coming up soon, apparently, so maybe we can meet up then. I’ll tell you what I’ve learned about overblots, and then you—“

A/N: It’s my daughter! Cynthia!! She’s actually from an OC story I made with my friend @kathxrat-01 called Your Artificial Image. We have an entire webnovel about it (in progress, we’re rewriting and editing it right now), and it’s what i used to be fixated on before i got into twst. But i missed her SOOOOOO BAD that i just. i just had to add her in. I MISS HER. I MISS HER AND HER TRAGEDY OF A STORY. I WANT TO BE FIXATED ON HER AGAIN UUUEUUEUUE but i like talking ab Kiyuu so idk man.
She’s so beloved to me actually!! I’ve made several edits of her bc i have enough art to edit her to some 4/4 beat music. Tmi, you don’t know what I’m talking about probably. THE POINT IS THAT I LOVE HER. Sometimes I forget that she’s actually smart though because she acts like someone who gets straight Bs and possibly Cs, but she’s a straight A student!! Say thanks to Adelia who taught her studying methods that actually suited her!!!
Her role in twst is. It’s mostly based around as a sort of helper to Adelia, who’s trying to piece together everything wrong with NRC (because justice. Cynthia just wants to know because she likes knowing things). Her best friend in RSA is Che’nya, who she just followed out of RSA for funsies and realized it was a good way to talk to Adelia and actually experience the weird NRC experience. Usually, though, most information comes from phone calls to each other, which they do nearly every day.

General gist is it has imaginary friend-like beings called spirits (what TWST!Cynthia’s unique magic is based on) and isekai/going back in time and it’s ALSO about going back home vs adapting here (like most otome isekais are).
