Honestly how they treat people is fucking disgusting, how could something that was put in place to protect their people, turn right back around and prey on those they were supposed to protect.

 I’m a senior and I’ve seen recruiters many times in my school. They’ve most likely never tried to recruit me because I’m a woman, and I’m honestly glad about that. I would never want something so corrupt chasing me down. 

My great grandpa almost got drafted into the shit show that was the Vietnam War. My grandma told me that she remembers everyone crying as he was getting ready to leave. 

The only reason why he lived through that war is because the bus that was supposed to take him to boot camp never arrived, and they never tried to reach out to him again.

Most people who served in the military were taken advantage of, they were either poor, uneducated, or abused, and the military preys on that.

Next time you see a veteran, remember that they put their life on the line for you

Remember that they suffered through hell.

Remember that their superiors were most likely corrupt assholes.

Remember that they may had been forced to burn a city down, and despite every part of them telling them that what they are doing is wrong and immoral, they had to follow orders unless they wanted to be accused of treason. 

The military needs to have some fucking respect towards the people who their supposed to serve, and to those who have served and are continuing to serve.
