Shaken Baby Syndrome (SBS), now often referred to as Abusive Head Trauma (AHT), results from violent shaking of an infant or toddler, causing severe brain injury. The primary systems affected include:

Neurological System: This includes brain injuries such as subdural hematomas, retinal hemorrhages, and damage to brain tissue, leading to cognitive impairments and developmental delays.

Ocular System: Retinal hemorrhages are common, which can lead to vision problems or blindness.

Skeletal System: Rib fractures and other skeletal injuries may occur, often indicative of abuse.

Cardiovascular System: Stress from the trauma can lead to changes in heart rate and blood pressure.

Pneumonia symptoms can vary in severity but typically include:

Cough: Often persistent and may produce mucus.

Fever: Commonly with chills.

Shortness of Breath: Difficulty breathing or rapid breathing.

Chest Pain: Often sharp, worsening with coughing or breathing deeply.

Fatigue: General weakness or tiredness.

Oh yes of course it was pneumonia I mean look how similar they are. You'll notice I say that sarcastically. I don't get into this stuff often but this man deserves it. He killed a child, whether it was on purpose or not he should atone for what he did. I do believe in the death penalty, but I think he should be put away for life. I don't think he killed his baby on purpose. Yes, he did abuse the baby but he never meant to take it that far.
