finally cleaned out my 2023 backlog
ROCKET JUMPING FILLS ME WITH SO MUCH EMOTION
maybe im just crazy but i feel like unless you personally have tried to rocket jump there's something about it you just can't appreciate it. i'll watch godtier rocket jump compilations and get a tear in my eye. it's so fun and just. UUUUGRJGHGJJHHHH (explodes)
i beat my first t3 map today! i am still a baby rocket jumper but i'm so proud of myself and i've been telling everyone about it
i also spent five hours today rocket jumping HNDSJNJ
So my boyfriend told me that I was showing too much of jumps in my compilations, that they were too long and that it didn't go with the music so I decided to make THIS abomination out of spite to illustrate why i think showcasing the entire jump in a clip is important. And i spent WAY too long on it not to at least upload it
DO NOT WATCH IF YOU GET DIZZY or if FLASHING COLORS/IMAGES are harmful to you. I'm serious >:l I made this as a joke but even I got dizzy making it and I do this shit like its my job.
also sorry for all the old clips, this took almost every single wallshot that I had in my folder to pull this off

this is a compilation of clips starting from beginning of february and going up to march 8th (today!), which is basically all my experience rocket jumping. i only clipped jumps i was proud of and thought were impressive, so it's cool to see both my skills and standards get higher over time! (not to mention me growing out of that pesky syncr.)
rocket jumping is super fun, and it doesn't hurt that the community is one of the best around. i've made a lot of friends on these servers, and i'm excited to see who i meet in the future and how i keep improving :)
the way you render surf and jump map geometry with the care and attention that most artists would use for natural landscapes makes me really happy. to me those maps have always had an air of ethereality that youve managed to bring out like nothing else
oh man if i could capture like 5% of all the beautiful and creative things I've seen rocket jumping and express how it made me feel I'd be a way better artist.
