Anyone who now reads fanfiction was into one or more of the following on YouTube before somebody blessed them with the knowledge it existed.

Gacha stories

Texting stories (lives on in the "group chat fic" genre)

Those videos where they just had a jpg of each character and put text over top of it

Cosplayer skits and livestreams (there were many but you know which specific channel I mean)

Gacha (again) but its not a story, just "x characters react to : the past/future/au"

Music videos where they put power point transitions between fanart

Edits, of varying quality and sometimes LONG (at least by today's standards, a 1 min yt short has nothing on a 15 min edit of the same 5 scenes)

There's a few that ik I'm missing but I cant remember, feel free to fill in the gaps.

If you say you did none of these, unless your yt time was monitored/non existent, you are a LIAR.
