AND YOU WANNA KNOW WHAT'S WORSE??? Since Bill's eye is looking upwards, technically he couldn't see his parents. The first (and last) time he ever saw his parents was WHEN THEY WERE DYING.
Think about that.
I'm not as into gravity falls as I was as a kid, but baby bill is making me soooo sad. I literally can't look or think about him without getting upset.
Can you imagine being born into a 2D world, but you can see in 3D? You can look up and see the stars!... but no one else can. And your parents think you're sick, so the doctors give you 'medicine' that just makes everything worse, and you just want to show them the stars. You want them to see what you see.
And your desire kills them. You kill them all.

I think that, even if his parents couldn't see the stars, they went star gazing just to see their boy happy
