Okay, Hi Hi Hi! 🌻⚡️✨💛 Here’s my design for a slightly older Mary; she’s only a couple months older than Billy. Her birthday is September 19th, and Billy’s is December 23rd, so they’re both about 16 in this drawing.

I’m really, honestly not sure where I wanted to take her design, but for now I like where it’s at. Hopefully I will get around to Darla next! ^_^ ~✨

Just finished Darla’s slightly older design! Now she’s with everyone else, yay! She’s about 15 in this design so all the ages go, Darla 15, Mary 16, Billy 16, Freddy 18. And I’m done with the main cast now yippieeee! ~✨

Note: I always say “about (age)” when I post designs, because since I have birthdays for all of them it really depends on the time of year I’m writing In. 💀

But if you were curious of the birthdays I gave them it’s,,,

Darla - March 5th

Mary - September 19th

Billy - December 23rd

Okay, I know I was gone for a little bit, sorry about that lol. I was out of state for the holidays and I have a hard time writing/drawing when I’m not in my comfort areas haha >_<.

But I wanted to share this. These are my little “scene cards” I guess you could call them. They just give you guys a little bit of insight to the anatomy of my Shazam story that I’m outlining right now!

I have these scenes in a lot more detail but I can’t show it to you guys because it looks like this lol.

But I’m posting this now because I’m just opening the floor to comments, suggestions, or questions for this story so far. :^)

I think some things that might be confusing is that I did technically write in a redemption arc for Black Adam. Which I know might be controversial for some, but his main “beef” with Billy is that he’s offended that The Wizard chose a new champion after he got banished to the furthest star in the galaxy.

But then once he’s defeated it’s revealed that The Wizard was actually kinda conflicted about having to banish him and Billy wasn’t meant to replace him. Billy’s much happier with his foster family on earth than being like The Wizards adopted son lol.

I still want him to be “punished” at the end for trapping The Wizard and Tawny to try and take over The Rock of Eternity. So my solution for that would be to give him a “Crown of Thorns” that nerf his powers a lot, but still keep him in his “magic form”. Since you know,,, if he were to say “Shazam” and revert to his mortal form he would die of old age almost immediately,,,,

But yeahh idk, let me know what you guys think. Right now I’m working on writing scene 3. If any of you guys want to read scene 1 & 2 I have them completed, they’re just in screenplay/script format lol.

Maybe I’ll convert them soon. Who knows?

Hii, sorry it’s been a while, I am unfortunately inbetweeen hyperfixations and it suckkkkss lol. I also haven’t been able to get my adderall refilled since December due to a mix of supply shortages and moving to a different state.

Hopefully I’ll be able to continue working on my story and finish it soon? Idk. Currently feel as though I am living in a haze, not really awake, but not dreaming either. It’s very strange, but I believe it’s because I am almost never without a fixation. Hopefully something will spark my interest soon.

Just posting this here because it was a sketch I was doing to practice adding more 3D forms and thought into my drawings and character designs. So far I’ve been lucky and my brain has been up to the challenge and it hasn’t been too overwhelming.

Ok yeah that’s not much of an update 💀 but it’s all I have for now lol.

Work in progress for tonight!! Trying to draw more character interactions so I thought I’d start with my version of Billy and Freddy!

(Note: not intended to be freebat art. No hate to anyone who ships it, but I see them as brothers even if they’re both adopted :P )

But yeah! Also a refresher for any new people who might see this post: I’m working on writing my own version of the Shazam story. In my version I only have 4 siblings in the Vasquez house from oldest to youngest the order goes Freddy, Mary, Billy, Darla. 💙💛❤️💜

I wanted to finish this sketch tonight but it’s about 1AM rn and I have work tomorrow, so unfortunately I have to wait.

Also I recently decided that I actually want to make a trilogy of stories for my Shazam story. I want to make it kinda like a coming of age trilogy-story type deal. You know like,,,

Story 1: Is like all good origin stories. It starts with the main character getting their powers and in this case laying the ground work for his foster family. We do the basic but lovely plot of him learning to let go of his birth parents in favor of his foster family etc. etc.

Story 2: Picks up maybe a year or so later and deals with the foster siblings all getting a little older and expanding their personal lives. The story also deals with how Billy feels a little abandoned at first, but then eventually learning that change is a part of life, and his family will still be there for him even if they’re lives are getting more complicated/busy.

Story 3: This story would pick up again about a year or so after the last story. And it would deal with Billy’s work life balance between his family life, his personal life, and his superhero life. Kinda dealing with themes of overwhelm and burnout. Something that really captures the vibes of growing up.

Anyways those are just my little ideas or whatevaaa, let me know if you guys would be interested in me putting out the whole “coming of age trilogy” perhaps

Work in progress for my Shazam story. ⚡️

This is a scene towards the start of the story, right after the prologue actually. It’s the scene where Billy’s social worker is trying to explain to him that she’s running out of foster homes for him to go to and is trying to get him to behave.

These are very quick sketches however, I think it’s probably for the best because one of the hardest things for me to learn is how to incorporate storytelling into my art lol. Which is funny because I enjoy both writing and drawing. So yeah,,,,

But anyways,, again not really sure how I want to tell this story? Like at first I was set on a screenplay for sure, but then I was like,,, maybe I should just write it as a fanfic? Because I’ve had nights where I’ve written 8,000 words in one night,,,, but those are rare. But ALSO also I really do enjoy the visual aspects of a comic,,,, but a comic would for sure take me the longest and require the most focus,,,,

I’m still not sure at this point, but I guess I’ll have to decide soon if I want people to eventually be able to enjoy my take on Billy Batson’s origin story,,,,,

Also please excuse any typos it is 1AM for me while I’m working on this LOL

It feels like I’ve been only finishing sketches lately,,, but I’ve been kinda busy so whoopsies. Maybe when I color this one I can also include my whole “living lighting” concept thingy I made up a while ago on an old post with some blueish glow-y type battle marks idk. ~✨

Felt like drawing some expressions/ light angst kinda art so ye. Maybe if I get around to it I can do expression sheets next since I’ve never really done those before.

Maybe I’ll remaster and color/shade it fully but for now it’s just flats with some overlays lol

You know despite not even drawing Shazam for a year yet, my character designs still go through constant little tweaks and edits. I’m trying really hard on trying to draw form & 3D shapes right now though, and that’s causing some technical issues when I draw Billy’s hair,,, I’ll have to study up on some comics or something haha,,,

Just read the new Shazam comic and thinking about re-designing my outfit for Freddy. I thought the blue scarf was a serve, but I think I only really liked it in Dan Mora’s art style lol.

Anyways, as I was reading I was thinking about how I’m kinda not a fan of when writers kinda write Shazam & Billy as two different people? I’ve seen a few iterations of the comics do this but I’m never sure why? It just kinda seems like more work imo to write them as separate characters???

Maybe there is some appeal in like the magical “other-self” or “idealized-self” areas of fantasy, but I feel like the Shazam mythos covers that either way? Anyways that’s my hot take lmk which you prefer and drop a comment if you wanna let me know your reasoning~ ✨

Making slight tweaks to my current art style,, as in trying to use line weight? I’m still experimenting with it so I thought I would make another Freddy & Billy drawing because I need practice drawing character interactions as well lol. Much to learn, as always lol :p

Kalypso’s Powers~ ✨🌀

Here is some of my writing for my version of the Daughters of Atlas. Since they’re from the magic realm I thought I would make their skin colorful, similar to the gods from Disney’s Hercules.

This is just a little story sample I had in my mind when I was envisioning how I want her powers to work. The way they work in Fury of the Gods is cool and all, but I wanted to add something more fantastical and visually wicked.

And don’t worry guys once the Shazamly comes to Billy’s rescue the curse of madness gets reversed. Just having his family around him to validate that magic is real, and to check in on him is enough to reverse the damage done to his psyche and return his arms/veins to normal.

Although, please do be warned, Kalypso’s curse is no joke because once the curse has fully corrupted a person, there is no cure to their madness, and their mental state will be permanently altered.

Trying to re-work my Shazam character designs. Obi first up is Billy.

I didn’t want to modify them too much because I like what I’ve done so far. However, I really wanna try and them them all model sheets, so that requires a lot more focus and intention with my lineart than I’m used to lol,,,

I was also inspired to work on this today specifically because I read the new chapter. At first I thought it was gonna be the same, “Billy’s long-lost parent ruins Vasquez family adoption” plot line that the new52 had, but I was pleasantly surprised. I can’t tell which run I like better so far because like,,, I’m really confused on why Billy & the Captain are 2 different people??? I have a hard time following that part. But, I enjoy the characterization a LOT more in this one. In the new 52 Billy is a little too much of an asshole imo. 💀

Like, I think in this new Dawn of DC version of Billy would have never yelled at Darla, and wouldn’t have picked random fights with Mary. Unlike his 2013-2019 counterpart lol. I really DO like characters who are a bit jaded & a little snarky though. I guess it’s a fine line that writers have to try and not cross.

Drawing an updated Shazam/Captian Marvel design!! ⚡️❤️

Lots of minor tweaks over the past year but I’m pretty happy with the updated version. I’ve been trying to understand 3D shapes & drawing forms since I started drawing Shazam and I’m excited to learn more! ^_^

Working on a Freddy re-design as well, but this one’s a bit of a rush job because it’s like 1am and I really wanna go to bed LOL

I also have some concept models done of the Rock of Eternity as well. I want it to kinda be a floating island diamond-shape looking thing. The bottom half of the diamond kinda like the floating islands in Steven Universe, and then the top part being kinda grassy mountains helping to make the diamond shape,,, I also need to add the little thrones in there. I was also thinking of maybe a little cave area in the mountain, but idk yet. I obi don’t have the skills to model that so I would have to draw it all by hand,,, so we’ll see~ ✨⚡️❤️
