Let’s talk about Shiba Shingetsu Astarte

The more I thought about the character of Shiba while writing the first story of @vampiru-chan‘s and mine Dracul Arc Writing Prompt Month, I realized what a sad character she is. Not only has she just about 8 minutes of screentime (and in these 8 minutes only shit happens to her), but her character is also a very hopeless one. She was designed to die, for the drama. Even though she had a hidden Sailor power in herself, she was at the same time the vessel for Cain and Lilith used her because of that. Also, this Sailor power could not save her as it usually does in other cases. Even Saturn was reborn with the help of Sailor Moon. But in Shiba’s case, even Sailor Moon wasn’t able to save her. Shiba was in a position, she couldn’t escape - and she knew it. She knew it all along. And I think Aya Hosada nailed the sadness of the character. But also in an ao or a fanfiction, it is very hard to imagine Shiba to become happy. It somehow goes against her character. Characters like Shiba tend to end up either unhappy or dead. I think Shiba was both and it makes me sad :/
