i really do think we need to imagine more scenarios of being kind and gentle to our f/os

we should at random points of the day hold their hand while we're silently sitting next to each other, either watching something or doing our own little things

we should offer to cook/bake/make food for them sometimes, or help them with the food, or offer to pay for take out or to pay to go out somewhere to eat

we should ask them every now and then if theyre doing okay, and that they can talk to us whenever they need it, if they need to vent or just talk about their day

we should snuggle them in bed more as if we're protecting them, keeping them safe from anything that might harm them

we should give them 'just because' gifts whenever we get the chance. something they would like, either an accessory or a small decoration, maybe some clothes or anything that helps with their interests.

we should give them little kisses at random. forehead kisses, nose kisses, cheek kisses, hand kisses. warm soft small pecks to make them feel all tingly.

we should encourage them in their hobbies and interests. be next to them while they work, giving little compliments and words of encouragement. saying how proud you are of them and that theyve done a great job.

we should help them whenever they need the extra hand. go run errands while they do chores, or help them shop for any necessities they need to stock up on. getting them out of bed and ready for work, promising you'll both get to relax afterwards.

a lot of f/os are ones that probably really need it. they need to be taken care of and looked after just like we do. they do so much for us, its only fair that we give them that same kindness back.
