Toby finding slender in the mines for after killing his dad.
Toby's story within this canon is slightly altered.
In this canon the housefire was not caused by toby but instead caused from the fight between Toby & his father
Toby was thrown into a bookshelf that had Lyra's memorial sitting on one of the shelves, The candles from the memorial would proceed to burn through the carpet and lit the house ablaze [this fire would burn down the neighbourhood killing six in the process].
Toby was left for dead by his father in the flames which made people believe Frank killed him, A few days Connie placed a restraining order placed against Frank by connie for supposively killing Toby
One day while Frank was at work in the mines Toby snuck up on him and killed him. The cops were alerted by other workers in the mine as Toby attempted to escape while the fresh blood awaken the Operator in it's nest below the mines

Ramblings below
I have decided that i'm going for the "claw mark" design [from deleted poll post]
Design thingy:
Ofc instead of making them a single line I wanted to give the stitching a teeth like look to them. To make them look like large yellow teeth and to give the mask a slight angry look to them
Reason:
I wanna keep the mask semi recognizable to Toby while also completely covering his face. I figured that because the spikey stripes design is commonly used to the point ppl can recognize this as Toby. I also kinda feel like that the "Frown design" was alittle silly

Concerns:
1. My usual fear is that I'm afraid I'm unintentionally copying a pre-existing fan design [I geniunely swear I am not tryna copy anyone and if I have I'm super sorry 😭]
2. Does the Mask seem threatening?? [Like would you be afraid if you saw this running at you]
3. How long until I change it AGAIN. [I'm super indecisive. It's a geniune problem I have and annoys me alot]
4. Will people recognize this as Toby?? [Not as big of a concern but is still there]
Lore:
"After displeasing his master. The entity slashed it's claws at Tobias, Although not harming him. The claw mark was a warning to never disobey or displease the Watchman. Instead of replacing the mask, He stitches up the claw mark as a reminder of his master's warning"
Inspiration / references:
1: the stitching is inspired by this style for Toby's masks, Where it kinda has the spikey stripe design
2: The Ironbark cult is another big inspiration for this Toby's mask with the symbol on the center of the mask
3: Balaclavs / Ski masks, Pretty much masks that fully cover the wearer's face. I really wanted to hide Toby's face with this mask design

I tried to make the stitches look abit more like teeth and also made the hoodie mimick Toby's color pallet for his sweater thing
Random ramble btw but I kinda wanna explore how Slender's presence affects Toby with his years as a proxy
The "Drowning" funcations similar to cordyceps in ants. Has the victim mindlessly wander as Slender pilots them around, Mind controlling them and making them hunt for it and sacrifice people to it.
In my head during the "level two" arc [when Toby is 21] Toby is completely mindless, He doesnt recognize his own mother and is hardly able to control himself. The Toby Connie once knew having been consumed by Slender and replaced with one of it's many killing machines
Btw chat the "canon" proxies won't be canon in my Ticci Toby rewrite
