random fun fact: chris and james were both inspired entirely by songs.
chris (who was originally the courier) was based on the song one love by m/arianas t/rench, particularly the line "i pine for phantom pain / it's the only time that i see your face." later, when i adapted him to fallout 4 and eventually made that his canon, i used the song binary mind by ra ra riot as his inspiration. beta love, by the same band, helped inspire the chris/eliana romance
james was inspired by the song you give love a bad name by b/on j/ovi. it was also why his original url was shotheart. his overall aesthetic is 70s/80s rock and glam rock, mixed with the more fallout-friendly rockabilly style and music
