Looking at my scrapped fics and I'm just dying knowing I'm posting unfinished works like
I WAS LITERALLY REWATCHING FBAWTFT LAST NIGHT AAAA THIS IS PEAK
Fantastic Beasts but it's Chilled as an animal smuggler and Ze is just trying to get funds for his bakery. Chilled is a goofy but clever zoologist that violently rescues from poachers and illegally transfers magical animals all over the world. Ze is a sarcastic entrepreneur that just escaped the boredom of a clerk's office to fulfill his dream. Chilled just arrived in the US, bumped into Ze, who was intrigued by his Italian charm, a little flirting here and there, and they switched their cases by accident.
The story somewhat follows the movie, but instead of an awkward nerd and a dumbfounded non-mage, they are a quick-witted cantrabandist and a bold and restless self-employee that go against Grindelwald. It's kind of ZRC-ending with Chilled still having to obliviate Ze because of MACUSA's regulations.
But a few months into Ze opening his bakery Chilled visits his establishment, seeing all the magical beasts-looking cupcakes. He steps into the queue and orders some pastry and asks for Ze's closing hours, flirting through the entirety of his visit, using all of his Italian charm.
And Ze remembers.
